there’s something so special about the only character in the main asoiaf series to take time to make a principled stand about the outcome of the dance of the dragons being Stannis Baratheon, who is the Rhaenyra of his own situation, but pulls really hard for Team Green because That’s The Rules.

#on reread the show really plays davos as a straight ‘moral voice’ when he is so delusional about stannis (and his own) role #in the unending wars of westeros while still being in many cases the only moral voice. he’s like that alicent post #'surrounds himself with crazy people and then acts surprised when they do crazy shit’ ya kno.#but also no i specifically want to point out that stannis names shireen his heir.
