headcannons about the Jury because I have Heartless brainrot

-this is probably a given, but the Jury are a very politically involved organization. they are often seen in the common political discourse around witches and even in general politics.

-Alastor used to be completely right handed, but after his curse took hold in his entire right arm, he forced himself to use his left. This made his handwriting suffer quite a bit though.

-‘Lorelei’ is only a stage name, nobody knows what her ‘real’ name is and she is certainly not bringing it up any time soon.

-the Wonders are actually not supposed to kill people. the job of ‘punishing’ witches is actually allocated to another branch of the Jury called the Executioners. Alastor is the only Wonder to actually follow this rule.

-the Wonders’ actual job is to capture witches who cannot be dealt with through regular measures

-Dock actually doesn’t have glass in his mask anymore, since Lorelei accidentally broke his first one while they were all still new to the team. Instead, he now uses a transparent plastic in place of glass lenses.

-all of the Wonders have mommy issues, except for Lorelei, who has daddy issues.

-Alastor used to love learning about space and black holes when he was a kid, so he would jump at every opportunity he could to know more about them.

-Dock has his doctorate degree hung up on the wall next to his bed. whether or not it’s real is a subject of mass debate among the other Wonders, and Dock thinks it’s extremely funny to keep them guessing.

-Alastor used to have a very heavy accent (I have not decided which accent yet but definitely some flavor of european) but has since polished it out in favor of a posh english accent. But, the old accent does come out sometimes when he’s very drunk/emotional/etc.

-Lorelei, Alastor, and Diana all technically have two jobs within the Jury (as a Spokesperson, Judge, and Hunter respectively along with being Wonders), but Bandy, Dock, and Lance’s only jobs within the organization are as Wonders

-a ‘Judge’ is a member of the Jury who is on the council of people who decide witches’ fates once they are brought into custody. Alastor is ‘extremely honored to work as one’. not much is known about the specific Judges, not even by most Jury members.

-a ‘Hunter’ is a member of the Jury who specializes in finding witches and taking them into custody. Hunters are a subgroup of the greater group within the Jury that is the Knights. They are some of the biggest thorns in the Magistratum’s (is that how you spell it? 😭) side to ever exist.

Truly, madly, deeply – Steven Stone x reader

Steven had never been in love before. He wasn't used to the way his heart started to beat faster when you were around him, or how he forgot what he wanted to say as soon as you smiled at him. Sure, there had been a few people he had liked but no one had ever made him feel like you did. You were the only one who could put him off his stride; the only one who could cheer him up just by sitting next to him, no matter how awful he felt in that moment. You never failed to put a smile on his face, even if he didn't feel like smiling at all.

At first, it had confused him. He didn't understand why the whole world suddenly seemed brighter when you entered the room but as the weeks and months passed by, Steven had finally understood that you were the one he had been searching for all of his life.  

He still remembered the moment in which he had realized how much you actually meant to him. He had bumped into you on his way to the elevator and once again, your apologetic smile had been enough to make his face heat up. Later that day, when he was sitting in his office to help his father with some paper work, everything had finally started to make sense. For a few moments, he had just sat there, staring into the void. And then, when the initial shock had subsided, Steven couldn’t help but laugh as he realized that he was in love with you.

I’m in love for the first time, he had realized on that day, his heart pounding like mad. The thought was scary and exciting at the same time, especially since he was absolutely sure that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.

But up to this day, he still hadn't worked up the courage to confess his feelings to you. He was so glad to have someone like you by his side but every time he wanted to explain everything to you, his mind went completely blank. There was something about you that turned him into a blushing and stuttering mess, no matter how hard he tried to keep his posture.

Maybe it was the fact that you were his first love. Maybe everything experienced an emotional turmoil like this when they fell in love for the first time.

Steven let out a quiet sigh. Instead of constantly overthinking your relationship, he should focus on his work. Even his father had noticed how distracted he had been over the past few weeks and had started to ask more and more questions. Of course, Steven didn't tell him anything. What he was feeling for you was his business alone, and he wanted to keep it a secret just a little while longer. Besides he thought that it would be best if he told you first instead of bandying it about.

With that in mind, he managed to return his attention back to the pile of paper in front of him. He was already used to the boring office hours and though he definitely preferred to explore Hoenn and collect rare stones, he knew that stuff like this was important to keep a company like Devon up and running.

And – which was probably the more valid reason for him to stay here – it gave him an opportunity to see you. Lately, the two of you had started to spend your lunch breaks together, and Steven would be lying if he said that it wasn’t his favorite part of the day. He always looked forward to it, no matter how much your presence confused him.

But today, he actually was a nervous mess. Because today, he would finally tell you that he was head over heels in love with you.
