Currently just sittin' here thinkin' 'bout Prime Omega Rin being completely and utterly consumed by his obsesssion with Prime Alpha Yoichi.

It's gross, and weird and decidedly concerning but Rin does not care in the slightest.

He's collected several of what he likes to call "keepsakes" from his encounters with the Alpha, like the classics: strands of hair (he once had the strong urge to clip off Yoichi's adorable little sprout while he slept and keep it), dirty undergarments (one time, when rifling through Yoichi’s dirty laundry hamper, Rin stumbled upon a pair of boxer-briefs stained with a small amount of precum. He nearly lost his mind at the scent, but before he could do anything to blow his cover, he pocketed the briefs and took them home to add to his "keepsake" collection), and little things that remind Rin of Yoichi, like that lobster keychain he caught him eyeing at a market one day.

But then, there's the stranger things Rin's somehow procured.

For instance, he's got several bandages seeped with Yoichi's blood that he keeps (that he may or may not have tried to suck the blood out of), a used toothbrush (which he may or may not have used himself), a very gently used razor, discarded gum and a worn bar of Yoichi’s favorite brand of soap.

Rin keeps everything hidden away and neatly organized in a space in his closet at home. He doesn't like to call it a shrine exactly, 'cus that's hella cliché, but that's lowkey kind of what it is.

He also has a ton of pictures of Yoichi, taken from various devices and saved in various places.

From candid captures to pictures with more of a professional setup, Rin adores seeing Yoichi in his natural state, whether that be in the midst of eating, sweating during training, or smiling big and bright.

Rin despises being away from Yoichi, he quite literally wants to cut him open and crawl up into his skin, then sew him back together from the inside out and just live curled up in his abdomen, closest to the Alpha's heart.

He's had increasingly violent thoughts about Yoichi, wanting to "devour" him, and be devoured in return.

He wants to be wrecked by Yoichi, used and hurt and ultimately consumed.

He wants to give him pups, a whole healthy litter- a big, happy family.

All these contrasting thoughts try their best to drive Rin insane. He tries his best to control them, but the task becomes more difficult as time passes, and he's forced to watch the friendly, sociable, magnetic, irresistible Yoichi laugh and interact with his friends and others.

Rin doesn't like the fact that other people take up so much of Yoichi's time. It makes the possessive, clingy, needy part of him flare up angrily.

Yoichi belongs to Rin. Whether he knows it yet or not.

Nothing's official; they've not yet given each other mating marks or even scented one another, but Rin knows in his heart of hearts that he and Yoichi are meant to be.

your door opens, just a crack, and suddenly it's like all of rin's senses sharpen.

his entire attention is focused on that tiny sliver of light that appears inside the edge of the frame. on the scent of you that seeps out around it. his entire world narrows to that centimetres-wide gap.

"you shouldn't be here," your voice isn't soft but it's not unkind either.

he can only see one of your eyes past the chain latch.

"i need to talk to you," rin says, angling himself even closer. there's no space left for him to go—he's pressed as near to the door as he can be, but everything in him is screaming that it's still not close enough.

"itoshi-san," you sound exhausted. too spent to properly convey exasperation. "you shouldn't be here. it's not..."

there's a number of words you could choose to end your sentence, and any one of them would be justified. but there isn't a single thing that you could say that would convince him to retreat.

rin reaches up, tugging at the neckline of his sweater and turning his chin, exposing his throat to you. the scent patches adhered to the pale column of his neck are apparent.

your eye—the only one rin can see through that little opening around the door—widens.

"i'm sorry for what happened," you tell him, and he can tell you mean it. the sincerity bleeding in your voice is clear and sweet and makes goosebumps prickle on his skin. you're always so prim and polite when you speak to him. maybe a little patronizing, even. you're a few years older than he is, and you've always subtly mirrored the way his older brother treats him, even if it's subconscious. but like this, there's something mouthwateringly meek about you, even though you're fighting to maintain some semblance of normalcy. An omegaverse Au where packs are fundamental for a person's mental and physical health.

Rin was born as an omega to the Itoshi family which wasn't totally well welcomed by tha family of mostly alphas and a few betas but they still took care of him with only Sae being actually what could be called Rin's pack(if Sae is a beta or alpha is up to the writer).

Things went mostly like canon with the siblings relationship but Rin forced himself to believe he and Sae were still pack so he wouldn't go down a spiral that he wasn't sure he could return from but after the match between Blue Lock and Japan U-20, Rin just couldn't force himself to do it anymore and losing the only pack he had ever known broke him.

Of course Rin tried to hide that he was packless but the moment he joined Paris X Gen, every member of his new team felt how broken Rin was and that he had no pack.

No one brought it up, they had all been taught about how to help a packless person(they all came from big packs and nice families unlike Rin) and bringing it up wasn't a good idea so the first night of them as a team they waited till Rin was a sleep to meet and talk about what they should do.

The consensus was that they all wished to help Rin but as they were from different packs they couldn't bring their packs to meet Rin so Loki brought up the option of them creating their own pack which they seemed interested but they needed to talk with their packs before doing anything else.

It took two weeks for them to finally start forming a pack between themselves(they did small gesture for Rin that would bring some comfort to Rin's omega but not enough to actually help him heal) with the authorization of who had been their previous pack leader(it isn't obligatory for an alpha to be a pack leader but it is pretty common).

Once they formalized their pack, they started their slow and careful courting of Rin(in pack courting not relationship courting...unless the writer wants them to be a poly pack then it can be both) which Rin without noticing was accepting the courting and getting better.
