every time I type "omar rudberg" into the tags to tag a post I get absolutely sandblasted into the conk crete because one time. ONE TIME. i used the tag "omar got mike wazowski'd". the absolute mental distress i feel because i forget every time until im reblogging a photo of Omar. and it's fucking There. it's the first tag suggestion every time.
i just need to impart the knowledge that every time I reblog a photo of him you have to understand I suffer through "Omar is so pretty this isn't fucking FAIR lemme reblo- OH FUCK OH GOD MIKE WAZOWSKI'D!!!!!!!" and feeling like my brain was placed in a jar of jello as I attempt to start typing Rudberg so that the tag Goes Away.
I don't know if I'm happy that this Brazilian portal is back... They abandoned Omar right before his new song was to be released. I understand that they had some pretty shitty experience at the fandom, but they surely shouldn't have let their former members who were officially introduced as admins talk shit about Omar publicly. They had doubts in him at the very beginning of the year when his position was a bit uncertain in their eyes and started supporting all kinds of other curlyheads, but they are motivated to go on now when Omar is thriving and their other protegees did questionable stuff or shaved off their curls. Well, good luck to them, I guess. Hope they won't get disappointed again
Hi anon,
Going to be honest I have no idea what you're referencing. It sounds like yrtwt drama and I try to avoid that at all costs. What I will say is that I will never blame anyone for taking a step back for their mental health and/or after they've had a bad experience in their community. And people are allowed to "stan" more than one person at a time. I love Omar, but I also love Chris Evans -and have for many years- does that make me a less of an Omar fan because of it? No. In terms of what these admins have apparently been saying, I'd say to take this as a lesson to re-evaluate the parasocial relationships we have with our idols and the expectations we place upon them. Take them off of that pedestal we've placed them on and remember that they're people too.
