I seriously can’t deal with this new song… I love it, I can’t wait to replay it obsessively on Spotify. I can’t wait for the music video (if he makes one).
I’m so in awe of him. I know there was a review for the Cirkus show that said that he needed to work on his interactions with the audience, that maybe he was nervous then, it being his first full concert. In my humble opinion, if that was true then, it is no long true now… he seemed much more at ease now, more confident, an absolute natural.
My favorite song (before “Happier” came along) was “Moving like that”. Between the music video and the performance at Melodifestivalen, I thought “oh no, he’s going to make me like this genre of music”. Despite being latina, I don’t listen to a lot of latin pop, and certainly nothing reggaeton-adjacent (not on purpose, at least, because obviously you hear it everywhere… too mainstream and vapid most of the time, it was just not for me… or so I thought…). But Omar made me: his vocals, his style, his melodies opened up a whole new world for me. He is that good.
“Moving like that” is fun, melodic, his vocals are everything, the choreography is everything. It’s so good.
This song, man… it’s so good. I love the whole vibe, love the lyrics, love the dance, love how much he’s feeling himself. This song perfectly showcases his style. There’s so much of his personality in it, his growth, his evolution as an artist.
He’s feeling himself so much with this one, so sexy, so sensual, showing this person from the song what they’re missing… i NEED a music video for this one too, i need him being extra sexy on it.
Finally back home, with a bit of time to post my videos from Omar’s concert at Furuvik.
(Had not been able to post much on Tumblr, it has been acting out on me lately… I did a whole post of my day trip to Kaggeholm and only realized later that it never got posted, and could not recover it either, so I have to do it again…)
This was before the concert started. He said “Jag kommer ut! Jag kommer ut!”
But the last thing I thought was that he’d perform an entirely new song.
Which by the way is completely stuck in my head. Love it, love everything about it.
