December 6, 2018 - Olivaceous Woodcreeper (Sittasomus griseicapillus)
These woodcreepers are found in most of Central America and parts of northern and central South America. Their diet is primarily invertebrates, but also includes some plants. They are often seen foraging on tree branches alone or in mixed species flocks, especially when feeding at army ant swarms. They nest in crevices or cavities in trees, possibly lining them with dry leaves. Females may incubate the eggs alone, as single birds have been observed at nests.
