I had a dream...

Not a Martin Luther King, Jr.-esque dream, but just a weird one that I felt needed telling. This dream stars Liam Dryden, Charlie McDonnell, Alex Day, Vondell Swain, Olga Breslavets, and Michael Aranda. (Also myself, but I'm not important in my dream.) The premise of the story is the Liam is a Green Lantern, but he doesn't know it. Everyone else does and has been highly trained to protect him until he discovers his powers.

In this dream, Olga and Liam are working at the weirdest fast food place. It had about five different places in it at once and there was a drive-through that wasn't efficient at all.

One day, Alex and Michael go for lunch there and some men start harassing Liam. A fight breaks out, where Alex, Michael and Olga use chairs and tables to knock out the men.

After some confusion, they leave the shop and go back to Liam's house where they look around for his ring. They find one, but Liam insists that it's just for decoration and he bought it off the internet. They take it with them, and meet up with Vondell at the park to discuss what happened.

After some speculation, Liam decides that it he can't really be that important and goes off on his own. Olga follows him and manages to cheer him up, suggesting he try on the ring. He does, but nothing happens.

Later, everyone's trying to act normal, but everyone's slightly worried because Charlie has been missing. They decide to search for him, but give up when it becomes late.

The next day, they find Charlie and at his request, they meet up to talk about what they're going to do. Charlie continues to act weird, and mentions that there is no way Liam could be a Green Lantern because he can't use his ring properly.

Finding Charlie's behaviour suspicious, they question him and find out that Charlie stole Liam's real ring and replaced it with a fake. Charlie starts having a poor memory, and they realize it was because he was brainwashed into doing it.

Together, they track down where Charlie took the ring, and get to it, but not without being attacked. On the final stretch to retrieve the ring, everyone is in battle, except for Liam who is opening the safe that contains his ring. He opens it up, puts the ring on his finger, and uses his mighty Green Lantern power to incapacitate all the bad guys and help his friends.

Then, I woke up. I was going to write this in narrative, but it would've taken forever.

Alright, so this is gonna be a weird post that will be hard to follow, but stick with it. I used to be the kind of person who was like, "Yeah love is fine, but it has limits". While I never had a problem with things like gay marriage, I'd say that an adult dating a minor was wrong. Just a side note, I'm deliberately not using the word pedophilia, because I know that has very negative connotations, and I don't want to cast any kind of bias over my reasoning. Now, especially as I've just seen the sweetest and most beautiful photo I am likely to ever see, I've realized that I actually have no problem with stuff like this. Just like any relationship, so long as it's actual love (or what one thinks is love) and not just fooling the other person into a physical relationship. As an example (meaning 'what this post is really about'), Tom and Olga are the most wonderful and well-suited couple I've ever seen. They aren't the kind of super soppy love that you can't bear to be around, or the kind of love that people know won't work. They prove that sometimes people seem like one mind, one heart, that's been separated for years, only to finally come together and spout snarky comments at me for making their relationship sound like a Shakespearean text. Age is as much a boundary to love than gender, religion or social class. Nothing matters except how you feel about each other. Tom, Olga, you are my favorite couple ever, I wish you all the best for the future.

So I felt like drawing, and I drew Olga.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her. She's gorgeous. Also, argyle's fun to draw. Not sure if I should color it.
