Still love

It's hard for all of us to lose our closest ones. So it was not easy for Polina and Sergey to accept that Oleg was no longer around and would never be. They had grown up together, the "holy trinity," as everyone called them. Polina herself noticed how she fell in love with Oleg.

She promised to wait for him, and she still does. But the soldier will not return home. Polina cried for a long time when she was handed a paper with a record of Oleg's death.

"That's not true!" is the only thought that haunts her.

Sergey took the news of his friend's death very hard and therefore recreated it in his mind. Pauline's attempts to reach him were futile. Razumovsky did not believe in Oleg's death.

And then one day an unexpected guest on the threshold of Polina's house - Igor Grom. And with even more unexpected news about Sergey - he's a killer, he's a Plague Doctor.

"Are you sure of that? What is it?" she asks, concerned.

Igor nods.

"He didn't want to listen to me that Oleg is no longer with us. Sergey and I haven't been in touch for a long time." - Polina is practically crying.

"You loved Oleg, didn't you?" Grom looks at her so kindly, so sympathetic.

"I still do."

Polina came to the building where Sergey lived. He's handcuffed, covered in blood, but he's smiling. But this is not sincere. Razumovsky notices her in the crowd and grins.

There is no more that trinity, as in childhood. Oleg died, and Sergey is in a psychiatric hospital. Note: Polina is OC'name.
