Born to be a father

I'm a gay man in my early 20's. I know I'm young but I keep having these thoughts.....or this desperate need to be a father. I don't understand where it's coming from.
That's your body telling you how things are gonna be now, bro. This is your new normal.
It's in your muscle memory - even if you claim to have never wanted to be a breeder before now. This urge to spread your seed has been lying dormant in your DNA, just waiting for your desires to waken inside your throbbing cock and for the hunger for wet pussy to cloud your rational mind. Don't you love the way I talk about women and their bodies? The way the men in my stories just can't help but to suck on a pair of fat, bouncing tits? How their thick, slobby tongues want nothing more than to slide between some wet, slick pussy lips?
Imagine the squelch, the squirt, the sound of her high pitched moaning. The way her eyelids will flutter when you unleash your hot, thick load inside her.
You're rock hard, bro. Don't deny it. Your hips buck with pleasure, your package feels so fat and hot, your wide cock head rubbing the fabric of your underwear with each needy thrust you make. The young gay man who made his home inside your mind finds himself surrounded by a sudden harem of hot women, blondes and redheads and brunettes, all with their huge breasts exposed and their greedy fingers between their juicy thighs. This makes you moan in the outside world, your boner raging as you continue to gyrate, your work pants growing taut around your much stronger, hairier legs.
"Yeah, you like that, bitch?" an unfamiliar voice speaks from your lips, bristles of dark hair framing your strengthening jaw. Your hands grow larger and callused, reaching out in front of you and gripping around the waist of an imaginary slut. Your eyes turn dark and brooding, your once youthful face growing older and more grizzled. The strange voice continues to deepen and shift as you moan, your arms growing thick with muscle as your larger fingers pretend to reach towards a pair of jiggling tits. You swear you've never touched a set of breasts before, but your new body can conjure the feeling so easily, as if you were just squeezing a pair the very night before. Perky nipples under your fingertips, jiggling flesh in your palms. It's so natural. "Fuck. Tell Daddy what a needy whore you are."
Your once trendy hair pulls back into your scalp and darkens, becoming a close cropped masculine hairstyle. Your work clothes become more professional, colorful pastel shirt becoming a simple short sleeved blue button up, your khakis fading into simple denim. You're a straight man, after all. You don't feel the need to dress up or stand out. You just feel the need to push your cock into a wide open cunt, to feel the pussy juice accepting your shaft and allowing your nine inches to slide right in. Your nuts swell inside your underwear, full of virile seed that desperately wants to be fired into a waiting womb. You moan again, drool sliding down your stubbled chin, your expression taken over by primal lust.
The former you is still trapped inside his mind, staring at the group of women that have him cornered. To his horror, he watches as the moaning bimbos begin to cry out louder, reaching their soft hands up to grab their breasts as each of their tits begin to swell with milk. The old you watches in horror and amazement, all these big boobed beauties suddenly taking it to a new level, but your awe settles into shocked terror as suddenly all of the women begin to reach down to their stomachs, which begin to rapidly inflate as pussy juice squirts and runs down their trembling legs. In a matter of seconds, your fading former self is trapped with a harem of pregnant women. Everywhere you look is a wet cunt, a fat tit dribbling milk, a pair of kissable lips sighing a moan.
The old you doesn't stand a chance inside the mind of a breeder. He begins to shake, his image blurring and beginning to fade, all of his youth and former goals burning away to make room for the superior man who has made your body his home. Inside and out. This is you. The women in your mind are just memories of former and future conquests alike, an endless sea of women that will swell with your seed and raise your children. Nothing turns you on more than this. You have found your purpose in life.
And there's no shame in that. You want to be a father because you were quite literally born to be a father. And now, my dear friend, your new body is going to make sure you have no choice but to be fruitful and multiply.
Better clock in those hours at your new office job. You're gonna have a lot of hungry mouths to feed - and no shortage of women to impregnate.

an element of Fingersmith that I wish they'd kept in the miniseries, and that I'm not sure a lot of people fully understood, was the weird immaturity of Maud's clothing
her uncle makes her wear short (probably calf-length) skirts and has since she came to him as a child. only little girls wore skirts like that in the 1850s and 1860s. so while it was normal at first, she's still made to dress like that at age 17, at least a year past the age when she should have started putting her hair up and wearing floor-length skirts as a sign of adulthood (her hairstyle is unspecified, but it being pinned up in a net is mentioned at one point, which was a degree of "up" worn by both adult women and little girls)
she wears this while reading porn aloud to her uncle's much-older male friends
that's the equivalent of putting her in a sexy schoolgirl outfit and pigtails. there's absolutely no way it's not intentional- if she really was just there to be a secretary, there would be no reason to enforce a dress code specifically making her look younger
while he's not touching her or letting anyone else do so, Mr. Lily is sexually abusing his niece
#fingersmith#csa mention#maud lily#he's not making her ACT like a child- children didn't go to dinner parties for example#but the image was definitely enough for the men at his gatherings#(who we later learn make up stories about Maud servicing them after her readings)

Katara the selfcare queen
Every canon instance or mention (that i can rmr) of Katara indulging in selfcare in the middle of a war because I find it quite amusing yet fascinating.
I may or may not have made a post like this before but I wanted to expand on it.
1. Skincare routine
In 1x14, The Fortuneteller, Katara reveals she has a special seaweed lotion that she carries with her for soft skin. (Avatar Extras also made a point of saying that it smells…?) She even offers to get Aunt Wu some, as if she has extra. So my question is, who is this plug that she gets her steady supply of seaweed lotion from? 😭
Real-life: Seaweed has been used in skincare for thousands of years, first recorded in ancient Chile. Nowadays, seaweed extract is pretty common in skincare products especially from emerging brands in Nunavik and Iqaluit, Canada.
My headcanon: This is probably a recipe Katara picked up from the older women of her tribe, so she just plucks some seaweed whenever the gaang stops by a body of water. And she definitely makes it in cute glass jars and shares it with her fellow healers in the Republic City Hospital ✨selfcare queen✨
2. Spa Day
I just find this funny because when and how did she even find this spa? How long has she been going by herself? Look how comfortable she is like dhjfjcd she’s definitely a regular and they all know her.
Real-life: Saunas are pretty modern, starting up in Finland around 1112. (In canon, I think a firebender and a waterbender run a sauna in Republic City so hey.) Mudbaths on the other hand have been around for centuries and people have been doing it at any naturally occurring hot spring they can found. I don’t even have to tell you about massages so
My headcanon: Katara always knows where the spas and selfcare places are wherever they go. I definitely think she scooped up some stuff at the perfume abbey in season 1 (because she’s a kleptomaniac). I also headcanon she would have a spa setup in the back of Republic City Hospital because selfcare is healthcare too. Also, Aang gives her massages at home and he’s surprisingly good at it, but, Katara sucks at massages and Aang never lets her do it to him after that one time 💀
3. Yoga
In 3x11, Nightmares & Daydreams, Katara teaches Aang yoga to de-stress in a hot spring. My thing is, when did she learn about yoga and how often does she do it? We needed the Katara yoga mini shorts special. The kids would’ve loved it.
Real life: Yoga originating from ancient India is practised in a variety of forms in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism. The poses they do are the Upward Salute and the Wide Legged Forward Bend.
My headcanon: I imagine Katara must have read about this at the Air Nomad Section of the Spirit Library, given the cultural heritage. Knowing her she found a yoga scroll and swiped it (can you say klepto?). This is another selfcare thing she does with Aang because it’s his culture! They do it every Saturday until he starts complaining about his old bones 😅
4. Hair care
Katara also wears a special cap on her head when doing yoga which I assume is to protect her hair from the steam 🤔 I just found it very interesting since we hardly see her hair covered. Then I also realized Katara is the only character shown actually combing her hair and styling it like 4 times: from the bun-braid, to the formal earth kingdom look, to her fire nation look and finally the bun with her hair out.
Real life: I typed so many things and I finally found something similar called a chinoiserie satin skull cap? (sorry pic limit). It’s similar in design and even has a tassel like Katara’s. Focusing on her hairstyles, the signature “hair loopies” are actually based on a traditional Inuit style known as qilliqti and her earth kingdom look is based on a traditional Manchurian style called liangbatou.
My headcanon: Like Katara’s mysterious seaweed lotion recipe, she probably makes several haircare products for herself, and has a major hair routine. So, it would make sense she wears protective caps from time to time. I also think both Hama and Katara are tied to the myth of Senna, the Inuit sea goddess, through the comb Katara uses which I headcanon is the identical comb Hama had in her home (again klepto).
If there’s any more selfcare moments I left out, please feel free to share or reply with your own Katara ✨selfcare queen✨ headcanons!

This person might not show that they like you and might like to pick fights with you too. This person is also very creative and might be an artist for some of you. Might play some kind of musical instrument too. But they do feel insecure sometimes . They find you very attractive but they fear that if they express their emotions you will reject them. In short words they fear rejection and that's why they might not tell you about their feelings. They like winning at all costs and don't like it when someone is superior to them.

Claudia's Hair & Growing Up
I've written previously about how Claudia's wardrobe signals a shift from her childhood self to her adult self but the most clear and obvious marker of her self-perceived adulthood is her hair. In the early 1900s, a girl was allowed to have her hair down or in a half up do until about age 17-18 or when she made her debut into society. After that, when appearing in public spaces, she would be expected to have her done up (and also wearing a hat).
As you can see in episode 4, she has her done in the typical style of a young girl in the 1910s, ornamented with a bow or some other decorative ribbon. In fact, this is one of the clearest indicators to people like Charlie and the guy at the university that she's really young even if she claims to be older. This is a childhood/early adolescent hairstyle and an adult woman would not have worn it out and about.
In the first photo above are the Romanov children with the girls between childhood and early adolescence. Below that, you have adult women in the 1910s with their hair done up and on the right wearing a large hat when out of the house.
However, an interesting shift happens in the 1920s that coincides with Claudia's coming of age and while it's not explicitly explored in the show, it likely compounded Claudia's frustration at her inert physical state. The 1920s was the beginning of VERY short hair becoming popular with women, so instead of marking your adulthood by putting your hair up, many would simply chop off their hair into a flapper bob.
But Claudia CAN'T cut her hair. It would just grow back so not only is her body in arrested development but she can't even style her hair to the adult woman trends of the era. She's not only stuck in a 14 year old's body but she's stuck with a 14 year old's hair length from the year 1917. So what does she do? After episode 5, she almost always wears her hair up especially when out in public and when she is trying to project maturity (anatonizing Lestat, buying things at the pharmacy, meeting with Tom Anderson). While she may not be able to cut her hair to match the trends of the 1930s woman, she CAN at least put her hair up like a 1917 woman. It's literally her one way of controlling her appearance beyond how she dresses.
Final note: while the show in general has pretty accurate and well developed styling choices, the one glaring exception is Antoinette. She's really not styled properly for any era she appears in and I know her looking 35 years old for 30 years is a bit of a joke in fandom but truly her hair is just NOT it. It's way too short for 1917 (needs to be updo capable!!) and kinda too long for the 20s-30s. They really just did not care about styling her accurately at all and ykw that's okay cause she doesn't really matter lmao.
Like look at these from the years 1917 and 1937 and then look at the styles I posted above of the 1910s vs. the 1930s and like????? what is going on here lady!!! You're just not trendy in any era hon.
#iwtv#costume analysis#i hate this fandom i didn't even wanna post this#but i did it for claudia#also pls feel free to add any additional info on hair textures and stuff!!

I finally finished them! Nyo America in 1920s-1950s fashion! More specifically, in suits, so those are the looks that I think she would have when being in workplaces.
I rarely draw full-body images, turns out the thing that would persuade me to draw more of them is historical costumes Lol, and the biggest thing that makes me want to draw this set is actually Nyo America's hair. Her curly hair just resembles soooooo much with those hairstyles between the 1920s and 1950s, which also goes along with historical costumes during those times so well.
and a bonus one:
another version of 1940s Nyo America, I originally thought the costumes would suit her very well, turns out that she looks either like a school girl wearing school uniform, or a teenager who tried to put on her mother's clothes Lol, which makes sense, since fashion during those time periods are generally designed for older women, so she is still a bit too young(at least physically) to wear them.
individual drawing and related rants below:
1920s style is very distinctive, it didn't suit her body type, but the young and energetic vibe definitely goes along well with her. I actually don't think Emily was a flapper during the 1920s, she resembled the independent part of a flapper, but I think she was too workaholic to spend much time having fun Lol 1920s America is such an interesting topic to explore, in terms of Hetalia fan art/fanfiction.
1930s, all I remember before is the great depression and Hollywood glamour stuff, but no one told me that women's suits were soooo handsome and dashing during that time period?? I feel like she walked from an old movie when drawing the clothes. It somewhat felt gloomy and serious, which I feel implied the atmosphere of the 1930s, since the great depression was there.
When I looked for references and general information about 1940s fashion, it is said that during that time period, clothes designs were added with a military uniform style touch, and I definitely felt that when drawing this. It feels like an interesting hybrid of 1930s and 1950s styles, not as distinctive and striking as those two, but still has its own elements and beautiful styles.
The 1950s, it is said that it was a time period when American design started to stand on its own, which may explain why I felt that she is so in her element in this look, even if she looks 10 years older than her actual physical age Lol, She looks very mature when wearing like this, but not in a forced way, which really resemble the American 1950s history, since she was becoming a user power at that time.
Overall, I really enjoyed drawing those, it is always super interesting to explore what would Hetalia characters wear during different time periods(with various hairstyles). I may never draw the exact canon design of Nyo America, but I really like the design of her relatively short and curly hair, which really resembles the fashion trends from the 1920s to the 1950s.

ATLA Gender Bender: "Sanaaq"
Sokka -> Sanaaq
I am not sure what the name origin is for Sokka. Sanaaq is a feminine Inuit name that is phonetically similar to "Sokka".
If Sokka had been born a girl, I think she would be a tomboy, although less of a tomboy than Toph. Her story involves coming into her own as a female warrior.
Ever since she was a small child, "Sanaaq" took after her father, wanting to become a warrior just like him. Her father and mother didn't mind this when she was a small child. But after the war took her mother's life, things changed. When Hakoda left to go to war, "Sanaaq" followed him, wanting to join him in battle. Hakoda tells her to stay behind, because it's the men's job to go to war. The last thing he tells her is to look after her brother, which she takes very seriously.
At the start of Book 1, "Sanaaq" is a bossy older sister who is constantly nagging "Kannik" to stop waterbending and learn warrior training. But her brother does not listen to her, for he is neither interested nor adept at the skills she tries to impart on him. It doesn't help that she's just his sister, not his parent. Since her little brother stubbornly refuses to learn warrior training, "Sanaaq" takes it upon herself to teach herself how to hunt and use weapons of war. Using her brother as an excuse, the real reason she trains herself in these masculine activities is because she just enjoys doing them. As the series progresses, Sanaaq would come to realize her controlling attitude towards her brother is the result of her repressed desire to learn how to become a warrior herself. As she leaves the Water Tribe, she would come to accept this part of herself and strive in earnest to become a female warrior. She would also accept "Kannik"'s decision to take up waterbending instead of warrior training, putting an end to her nagging.
I imagine that the distribution of gender roles would be more even between Kohara and Sanaaq, where Kohara would take on more of the tasks traditionally assigned to women, while Sanaaq would take on more of the tasks traditionally assigned to men. Unlike Katara, I don't think "Sanaaq" would do a very good job at filling the void left by her mother. She would be the type of older sister who makes her younger brother do undesirable chores, like cleaning. I think "Sanaaq" might be a bit more mature than "Sokka" at the start of Book 1, but by Book 3 they would be comparable in terms of maturity. "Sanaaq" would still be a sarcastic, comedic relief character who suffers a lot of physical comedy.
I've been picturing Janet Varney as the voice of "Sanaaq".
OUTFIT DESCRIPTIONS:
1: Book 1 Outfit
"Sanaaq"'s braided hairstyle is meant to be more masculine in appearance than "Katara"'s, where her hairline vaguely resembles the hairline of a warrior's wolftail. I think it is conceivable that she would wear a hairstyle like this, since there is greater variety in the hairstyles worn by girls of the Southern Water Tribe.
2: Book 2 Outfit
3: Sanaaq's Fire Nation disguise
4: Sanaaq's Fire Nation disguise, after cutting her hair during "Sanaaq's Master"
I think it would be cool if "Sanaaq" cut her hair short while training under Master Piandao. She would sport a warrior's wolftail during the Day of Black Sun and Sozin's Comet, but would grow her hair out after the series finale.
5: Sanaaq's battle outfit, worn during the Day of Black Sun and Sozin's Comet
6: Sanaaq's battle outfit, with helmet
7: Book 3 Outfit
In the middle of Book 3, "Sanaaq" realizes that she can no longer remember her mother's face, recognizing that "Kannik" did a better job of filling her mother's void than herself. She gives "Kannik" the pendant from their mother's necklace, trading it for a piece of her brother's necklace.
8: Comics Outfit
Her comics outfit is meant to make her look like a yosakoi dancer.

My Natural Hair Growth Journey
Let’s Embrace our Natural Self!
Before I start, I would like to get this clear. I don’t have a problem with weaves, wigs, ponytails, etc. I say this, at the front door because when I decided to announce that I am trying to go natural; I got looks like I was a traitor. As of today, I wear my natural hair under my wigs because I am transitioning my hair from relaxers, tight hairstyles that pulled on my edges and bad hair gel that essentially dried out my hair. This is the reason for my natural hair growth journey.
My natural hair growth journey beginning
It was December 2015, and I was just about to finish college when I began cruising YouTube at home. I was bored and curious as to what was going on, then I came across some You-tubers sharing their experiences about maintaining their natural hair.
They talked about the products they tried and liked and the ones they didn’t like. I was hooked! I spent hours watching, learning and writing down tips and products. You would have thought I was back in college. I was back on my grind.
It is funny how life can bring you into a full circle
A few years ago, 3 of my older cousins, who all live in different states, were visiting for a family reunion. I noticed that they had cut their hair down to a low Afro. At that time I was still relaxing my hair, wearing wigs and sometimes ponytails.
But I was curious. Was this a new revolution that I was ignorant about? Of course, I knew that the 60s brought back rocking the Afros, then in the 80s and early 90s the braids, especially the “Goddess braids” or for some of us the “Janet Jackson box braids”. Now the 2000″s “s brought back the natural hair look.
The crazy thing about it was that I found myself defending weaves, wigs, and ponytails. One of my cousins asked me why I wouldn’t just go natural. I heard comments like “You guys are just making the wig stores richer by trying to look like Caucasian women with that long flowing hair”. What? Yes, I was being attacked at the family picnic.
I said, “First, I am not trying to be like anyone but myself. Secondly, I love the way I look with long hair”. I told my cousin that I have a big apple-shaped head, therefore, I couldn’t rock the short hairstyles. They don’t fit my face. The truth about it was that I was envious of my cousins’ abilities to wear their hair that short and still look good. They have the faces and heads for that style.
More young girls are going natural
>>> Female Pattern Hair Loss Success Stories <<<
As I look around these days, I see all lengths of Afros, twist outs and braids. While doing my research, I realized this may not be just a trend or phase, this could be the beginning of our sisters learning to love and accept their natural hair.
My history growing up was if your hair was long and silky-like, you had “good hair”. Being black, I grew up believing that because it was one of the descriptions people would use to describe someone with silky or wavy hair.
Now that I am in my forties, which means I grew up in the 70s and 80s, this was still going strong from my heritage, which started this nonsense. I can’t lie, I still find myself saying, “She or he has good hair”. I am not only transitioning my hair, but I’m also transitioning my mind about African-American hair. Furthermore, I have work to do, for real!
Our black culture is unique in many ways
Our hair is like no other on this planet. Going way back to our West African ancestors, we have always shown our artistic abilities when it came to our hair because it is so different. Our hair grows in a coiled curl pattern, coarser in texture, which makes our hair more delicate to manipulate than other races. Here in America, black people also have mixtures of different types of hair because we have Native American blood and other nationalities that are traced in our lineage. >>> 1 Year Hair Growth Journey: Embracing Your Natural Self <<<

Hairstyling
Pairings: MusicArtist aka Jumpin Johnny Jumble/Colora Contour(OC), Mentioned PsychoConductor aka Professor Rocket/Melody Maestra(OC)
I now bestow the Crashbox fandom with a fluffy OC x Canon oneshot fanfic
If you want to learn more about my Crashbox OCs Colora Contour and Melody Maestra, check out my art account @art-tea-chill
Now that I’ve gotten your attention, let the fanfic begin!
It was a relatively normal day off for Jumpin Johnny Jumble, especially so considering how chaotic Crashbox can be normally. While the crew doesn’t really have day offs, the situation at the factory made it an exception. Johnny didn’t really know the whole story, all he remembered from his conversation with Dora Smarmy was that most of the machines broke down during maintenance and thus the robots are still trying to figure on how to replace and/or fix some of them.
Johnny was in the kitchen making himself and Colora their morning drinks. He was making battery acid flavored coffee (he can’t exactly drink liquids normally) and made Colora her favorite, cold sweet tea. While both of them don’t require drinks, heck, Johnny doesn’t even have a mouth and Colora can’t move hers, hers is just painted on her wooden face. Both of them still find it nice to do.
While Johnny put Colora’s tea in the fridge for it to cool off, he spotted something on the table. Upon closer inspection, he figured out it was a magazine. A decently thick one at that. He assumed Colora bought it since he didn’t remember buying anything.
Johnny held the magazine in his wired hands, analyzing the cover. The magazine’s title was “Top 50 Hairstyles Throughout The Decade! FT: Models” Despite not being spelt out, Johnny assumed the magazine was referring to Women’s hairstyles. Considering there were pictures of three women on the left side of the cover. All three photos of the women were vertically aligned on the left of the front cover like a photo strip, only thing that was missing was the iconic black reel to go with it.
The woman in the top left photo was a young blond, she had an athletic high ponytail hairstyle and also had clumps of hair on the sides. The sides reminded him of Princess Peach’s hair and her photo was done at a 3/4ths angle with her facing the right.
The second woman was a brunette and looked older, but still pretty nonetheless. Her hair was more vintage-esque since it was fancy ringlets with a smoothed out top and bangs. Her photo was also at a 3/4ths angle, but she was facing the left instead of the right.
The final woman on the cover had black hair and her hairstyle made it look like she came straight out of the 50s. Her hair was short, not even covering half of her neck, yet it was bobbed up all fancifully. Unlike the other women, her photo angle was more akin to a headshot with as it was front view.
Johnny didn’t really know why Colora bought a hairstyling magazine of all things. It was maybe because he expected her to get something art-related, but to be fair, only doing art stuff all day during multiple day offs does sound maddening. In fact, Johnny thought Colora would probably look gorgeous in most of these hairstyles (not that she already is).
However, Johnny’s train of thought was interrupted when he heard a feminine yawn.
Colora had finally woken up and had walked into the kitchen. Instead of her usual fit, she was wearing a oversized grey t-shirt Johnny bought once and never wore and black baggy pants.
“Good morning sweetie…” Colora said drowsily.
“Mornin’ Babe” Johnny remarked flirtatiously, Colora sleepily giggled at it. “I put your tea in the fridge, I know how you like it cold.”
“Aww…Your so sweet…” Colora remarked before going to get the tea from the fridge, she was usually very drowsy after waking up. Tea helped get her energy back up.
Johnny skimmed through the magazine, all the pages were showing a random hairstyle from a specific decade and a guide on what you need to do to achieve it. Admittedly, it was surprisingly boring considering the content.
“Baby, I’ve gotta question to ask…” Johnny mentioned.
Colora looked back at Johnny, already having finished the tea.
“What’s the question honey?” Colora replied, she started looking at Johnny intently. Just in case it was something serious.
“Were you the one who bought this magazine?” Johnny answered, showing Colora the hairstyling magazine. Colora was relieved to hear it was just about that.
“Oh! Yes I did!” Colora replied excitedly, “I figured since we essentially have a mini summer break because of the machines, I thought hairstyling might help!” Colora then switched to a disappointed face, “But sadly, that book was boring! I guess it’s true of what they say, check out the market before you park it!”
“Yeah…” the content was pretty crummy.” Johnny responded. “Although we don’t have to return that magazine exactly…”
Colora switched to a more confused face, “What do you mean?”
“Colora”, Johnny continued, “Do you want me to style your hair?”
Colora switched to a more happier face on the flick of a dime.
“Really?!” Colora exclaimed excitedly, “Thank you!” Johnny chuckled at her enthusiasm, he genuinely liked her goofiness.
Both Johnny and Colora moved to the living room, with Johnny sitting on the couch and with Colora slightly propped up against the cushions. Johnny figured a low, loose ponytail would suit her.
“Hey babe” Johnny asked, “Do you have a hair tie on you?”
Colora shook her head, “Sorry honey, I don’t. But! There should be some in the bathroom!”
“Thanks babe” said Johnny as he went to the bathroom, he came back into the living room with one hair tie around one of his wired fingers.
Both of them had a very fun morning to say. Whilst Johnny was doing Colora’s hair, Colora was chatting with him about random topics: Art, painting, Melody Maestra and Professor Rocket having recently discovered romantic tension, etc.
In the end, Johnny was right. Colora looks very beautiful in a messy low and loose ponytail.

Re: https://www.tumblr.com/celtrist/757582206233444352/weird-explanation-about-alastors-bobcut-because
THE BOBCUT
I can only scrape together 3 reasons/excuses for Alastor’s haircut
- covering the sides of his head where human ears used to be because he’s self conscious :,)
- the shape is like a reverse silhouette of his ears: 2 points up, 2 points down. If we count his chin then maybe you go for a crazy conspiracy angle where you overlay a pentagram/satanic goat over his head and the points match up lol “coincidence?! I THINK NOT!!!!” (I don’t agree with this, the mental image is just funny)
- while men didn’t style their hair long in the 20/30s, the slicked back look (and wavy varieties like finger waves etc) did sometimes require (or hide) some length: from the hairline to almost the back of the head at most, held with enough hair product to paralyse a small dog. (Brylcreem/congolene/pomade etc) When you wash that style out, or it comes loose from sweat or rain or falling in a creek, it’s between cheek to chin length around the face. The 20s reverse mullet, party in the front, business in the back. I think there used to be homophobic complaints at the time that women wearing their hair bobbed short and men wearing their hair “long” made (jazz) music halls a DeN oF GaY, claiming they couldn’t tell men and women apart with these hairstyles whilst they were all banging out a charleston or lindy hop or whatever they were doing. I had this hairstyle for over a decade, my dad wouldn’t let me change it, “iTs fRenCh pRoVinCiaL aNd rEminDs mE oF yOur mOthEr” bitch I looked like amelie
The human design for Alastor doesn’t wear his hair like that though, throwing this excuse out a closed window
It’s also what would happen to hair if it was in a ponytail and chopped behind the tie. Either way R.I.P.
Lots of insight! I can still see your last point holding up at least a little bit in the sense that it is more fitting for him to have chin-length hair, or at least grow it out to that point when he got to Hell (he just wanted a fresh look). However, the only "issue" is that: why wouldn't he style his hair? He doesn't really strike me as someone who'd go against gender norms quite honestly. Not out of masculinity, like if he was put into a situation that called for it, I'm sure he'd be fine wearing a dress to some degree (and he'd look good in it. We can all agree he'd look good in it). But more on the prospect that "gentlemen don't do that". I can see him both as someone who would wear a dress and be fine with it, but also someone who would wear a dress and find it demeaning to himself. Obviously Alastor doesn't hold all the old timey values--he wouldn't like Charlie and Vaggie's relationship on them being two woman alone if he did--but I do think he sticks by older etiquette. Like I'm certain he thinks women are capable more than men of his time gave them credit for, but he reads as someone who'd also be like "must take care of the fairer sex, for I am a man and that's what we do". Again, not in a demeaning way he clearly knows women can hold their own. But if a man and a woman got sick, Alastor would tell the man to suck it up and the woman to lay down and rest. That's my personal take though :/
I will admit that I didn't think about the reverse silhouette thing! Nice eyes on that one! Say what you will with Viv's character designs, but they all have fairly strong silhouettes. You see a character with blacked-out details, and you're more than likely able to tell who it is. And maybe that's Viv's design process, she prioritizes a silhouette over tiny designs that could give info about a character. A nice silhouette can ideally still give a bit of info about a character (like how rounder characters are seen as more welcoming) and that's where I do have to mark Viv some points down as when you take two totally opposite characters--Alastor and Angel Dust--they have the same "tall & sharp" that doesn't indicate a difference in who the character might be. There's not a varied shape language in this show, and shape language is very big for character design, especially on the cartoon front! Which, shape language wise a lot of the characters have similar shape language. But I give credit that there IS more (like Charlie is round with her braids, which helps give a more welcoming silhouette. Vaggie is a bit squared with her hair, giving an indication of being strong and stable). I do think for the most part, a lot of them do just come down to being "thin and sharp", but the silhouettes themselves ARE GOOD, I'm not gonna mistake Alastor's silhouette for Angel's. It's just not varied (and for some characters like Husk, it would make since for him to have a more squared portly silhouette compared to the thin twigged silhouette he has. Both because his personality and how his body would look just by what he does: sit around, drink, and gamble. He doesn't seem like a character who would have eating issues, and he doesn't seem active enough to stay as fit as he is).
I digress but yes, the silhouette thing isn't something I thought of, and is a good thought! But he does, as you pointed out, have the pointy chin. It's not parallel to the ears like the bob cut but it would create a triangular layout of his face (ear-to-chin-to-ear). But I can still see it that the bob cus is there for a reverse silhouette thing, even if unneeded.
The ears thing, people have made him with short cuts and he looks fine. Honestly, it's more noticeable when he DOESN'T have short hair since the bob cut moves around, but I get the premise in universe wise. And that's an idea I've seen people mention before. I'm not too sure on it just cuz Alastor was described as a narcissist, so I don't think him lack human ears would get to him that much. ADVERSELY if people like Mimzy kept pointing it out, he more than likely would just want a way to cover it up to get her to shut up about it haha. But I can also see the point of him being sort of "self conscious" about the lack of ears on the side of his head because it's just a reminder that he's taken after a prey animal in Hell. Or even just an animal, he doesn't strike me as the type who'd really like having his features alluding to any sort of animal no matter if it was prey or predator. It being a deer is just salt in the wound at that point.

TRADITIONAL SEELIE HAIRSTYLES
OVERVIEW
The Seelie Court is an ancient Great Kingdom which has been ruled by the same queen for thousands of years. As a result, its culture has largely stagnated and fashion hasn’t changed much since its early days. What keeps things fresh is its diverse population of peoples and monsters, who each have their own unique styles. As a general rule, the Seelie like to appear elegant and refined. The following hairstyles are popular among almost all Seelie citizens, regardless of their species.
ELVEN CURTAINS
The hair is worn long and loose, slightly draped over the sides of the face and covering the ears. Typically it’s accompanied by a delicate chain worn over the head. This style is most popular with lower and middle-class Seelie women, who do not have time to fuss with their hair much, but still want a touch of refinement in their appearance.
BRAID FRAME
A popular style that spans across all wealth classes, appropriate for casual and formal events alike. It is characterized by a braid that starts on one side of the head and and pulled over to the other side to frame the face. The rest of the hair is usually pulled into an updo.
DOUBLE SIDE-BUNS
The hair is pulled into two buns on the sides or back of the head, then each of those buns is split into two to form double-buns. These double-buns are said to add volume and make the hair look fuller. This style supposedly originated with Seelie’s gnomish population, but it wasn’t long before other peoples took a liking to it and adopted it for themselves. It’s a versatile look that can be fun or fancy.
SEELIE HIGH-RISE
This bold style is worn by the Seelie Court’s upper classes. A frame is placed upon the head and the hair is pulled over it, making it appear tall. Some women take this to an extreme and wear absurdly tall high-rises, believing taller hair makes them look more refined. It is usually decorated with chains, bows, or other ornaments.
DOUBLE TOP BUN
The double-top bun is a classic for kids and adults alike, but it is most commonly seen on prepubescent girls. The top half of the hair is pulled into a split bun, while the bottom half hangs loose. Its popularity spans across all species and wealth classes.
TRIAD STYLE
A style associated with upper-class girls. The hair is pulled into 3 voluminous buns–two on the sides of the head and one at the back. This is a high-maintenance style, so the girls who wear it are not the types to roughhouse or play in the mud.
FOREHEAD BAND
The Seelie Court’s peasantry and working men prefer this style because the headband adds a bit of flair while also keeping their hair out of their eyes. Different bands are worn for different occasions, from simple cloth to fancy leatherwork.
LONG TOP BUN
The hair is worn long, but the top half is pulled into a smooth bun while two loose “tails” are draped over the shoulders. This style is popular with all wealth classes, and it is so versatile that it can be worn for any occasion. It’s believed to have originated with the Ela elves of the region. Sometimes women wear this style as well.
SANCTUM HUNTER
Seelie traditionally wear long styles, but the Sanctum Hunter is a rare exception. This style originated from the native fauns of Spriggan’s Sanctum, who saw long hair as a liability because it would get caught on branches in the forest. The fae and monsters of the Seelie Court found it bold and exotic, and it became most popular among rebellious teenage boys. The hair is cut into a choppy style, then the top half is pulled into a short, spiky ponytail at the back of the head while the rest is left to hang down.
SEELIE NOBLE STYLE
This hairstyle is only seen on Seelie noblemen. The hair is pulled into a loose bun that drapes neatly around the sides of the head, and the bun itself is split in two to give it more volume. It is adorned with a long ribbon and sometimes chains. It is associated mostly with older men, but young men may wear it for formal occasions such as weddings.
DOG EARS CHOP
A choppy style identified by the two long “ears” draping down to the shoulders, while the rest of the hair is shorter. This is a common style for boys who like to play rough, so it is often worn by lower classes. Upper classes tend to view it as “trashy”.
ARCANE SCHOOLBOY
At one time in Seelie history, it was required for all elven children to wear this style at arcane school. The hair is pulled into a neat braid that starts at the top of the head and drapes off to the side. Though it is no longer mandatory, some parents still encourage their children to wear it, as a sign that they take their education seriously. It has largely fallen out of favor with girls and is now mostly seen on boys.
