Matty briss outline? For the wip game

ohhh okay. despite the laconic title it's one of the more ambitious projects i have going, hence why i have very little of it done apart from chat fic w my girl and a vague outline.

the plot (bc this is like, definitely a plot heavy fic) centers around girl matty (who's the socmed girl for the umich hockey team) spending her freshman year of college hooking up w douchebag briss, who's the same guy he is in canon. he's like reaaaaaally a dbag but they have crazy sexual chemistry and matty lets herself think she's gonna be his wag for real when he goes to the NHL.

wrong. he like, immediately and publicly hooks up with someone else while he's travelling and then just acts confused when she freaks out? like babe we aren't like that etc, i thought you knew? which is fucking humiliating coming from brendan brisson lol.

tears tears tears etc. then the story picks up ummm. 14 years later? 16? when briss, now a vet just on the verge of aging out of the nhl, gets traded to a team for whom matty is now the arena concussion checker (?). and immediately is like my GOD who is this PERFECT WOMAN surely not the girl who i kind of screwed over a million years ago???

and matty's a doc now! and living exactly the life she wants to be living, unbothered by brendan brisson. she's just like oh. hey briss? when she meets him again, but he's like no i NEED to have her babies and also change myself into a human being who she could conceivably want to date/marry/whatever. immediately.
