*Taking this to encompass all forms of MCYT, from modern streamed SMPs such as Dream SMP and QSMP, to popular YouTube series like Hermitcraft, to old-school series like Yogscast, Aphmau, and Stampy, and single-player series such as Mumbo Jumbo's redstone videos. For the purposes of this poll, any uploaded video format that is primarily focused on content set within the game Minecraft counts as MCYT.

When I say negatively, you can take this in any way, but I am specifically thinking of people who will look down in or be wary of people who say they are into MCYT, or have "MCYT fans DNI" or similar listed on their profile. If you are not interested in MCYT but have no negative connotations with the medium you are free to not answer.

Since I am a MCYT blog the results may appear skewed at first- I don't want to be the "reblog for bigger sample size" guy but if you have reach outwith MCYT spheres please consider it!

smallidarity highschool au

came up with this au like actually 2 years ago where it's mainly empires 2 smallidarity centric, with Jimmy as a student council member and Joel as an honours student who doesn't like the way Jimmy runs things around the school.

As payback for the regulations Jimmy put up that Joel thought was stupid, Joel does these elaborate 'The Office' style pranks on Jimmy (specifically) while Jimmy retaliates by trying his best to dig up dirt on Joel. This banter goes on for a while— however Joel ends up doing the pranks less as a statement, and instead more just to see how Jimmy would react... with his comical, cartoony villain yells, and... weirdly cute face....? (YAOI YAOI YAOI YAOI)

it's a minefield because most of the time i meet people who have fairly good experiences with minecraft youtubers--i feel like most people irl don't have a concept of the terminally online mcyt hate discourse we experience on here--but it's always from when they were kids. they're like oh i used to love that! but i'm 22 years old so

does anyone else meet people irl who LOVE minecraft and get really excited and then immediately try to reign it back in because you're like. i love minecraft too! we both love minecraft but. you probably love it in a normal way and me? i've got 33,000 posts about minecraft youtubers

Something people may have not considered, I know I took a while to remember this, is that YouTube channels used to be customisable in layout and with images like blogs on Tumblr.. And I was a MCYT enjoyer back when they still had this capability (Huge Yogscast fan), not anything HC aligned so I took a look at the creator’s old channel designs. Here’s some of them! Collected via Wayback machine.

Scar 2013. The Bob Ross of Minecraft... A few months later the channel name was “Your favorite Scar” and he removed the weapons up above. If you watch his videos from this time, his end screen is designed just like the channel.

Etho 2011. Back when there was a public comment section. He also used design from fans like he does now.

Etho 2013. At this point, YouTube removed some of the customisation ability but a custom background was still possible.

Hello people of Mcytblr.

We all know the old argument about what color represents each school subject. I would like to present that same idea with some of Mcytblr's well known SMP's and series. That being said, I am reaching out and asking Mcyt fans to fill out this
