mostly my beef with him isn't him specifically its more like how he's been written/marketed/presented as a character because its like ?? being the Sunshine Guy is his whole personality ????? he has no depth outside of that ????????? bro's been through a lot he was one of the demigods who fought in the battle of manhattan he was a COMBAT MEDIC during all that he must have seen so much shit ?? lost so many friends ??? and he probably tried to SAVE them too !!! how many friends do u think he had to operate on !! and lost !!! and idk. solangelo as a whole just seems to be watered down into "sunshine bf x goth bf" and neither character is really allowed to be developed/have ANY depth whatsoever outside of that????? and idk. the version of them in my head is just a lot cooler and more compelling than the version of them on the page and a lot of it is because of personal biases/opinions/preferences I have, and also because nico is my GUY and I'm constantly rotating him around up here. so idk it'd be cool to see will have some defining storylines and personality aspects to make me like the canon version of him as much as I like the version of him in my head. idk.
