gchat used to be my lifeblood and i'm glad nearly no one uses it anymore because the new interface is So Bad. why is it So Bad. why did they ruin what was, basically, a perfect chat, and make it So Bad.

eg. i'm trying to chat with my friend and read the 'whale weekly' update because i'm behind, but will toggling between the chat and email window preserve my spot in the email? no. so I have to have two windows open and yet Both of them are going to chime at me that i have a new message??? Why. Whyyyyy.

#half dead fried life #whining #i miss tiny gchat and if you didn't want to look at your email you could pop it out and you could see multiple conversations at the same ti #this is the least functional version of a chat window #and i resent it #i resent many things about Late Stage Google #but this is one of the more dire #also i miss the tiny google emojis that animated #the best emoji #i should find those and migrate them into slack #m is trying to get us to move from slack to discord which i understand but i slack at work and it looks so much more professional #also i guess discord added threads but they look irritating #old grouch stands on porch and shakes stick
