anyway. i headcanon old nick always trying to give merasmus that rizzmas charm constantly all the time but merasmus is not interested at first...until overtime (or they both go through a shenanigan-filled journey together. one i might be tempted to write a fic of but prob not) the magician just kinda melts from it. after all i imagine shits already stressful for merasmus so having some smissmas lug growl sweet nothings to him while cuddling him up would be nice i bet

I don't really like a lot of what they did with Australia but they don't even make fun of the country in an interesting way a lot of the time, like, the queen's a kangaroo because nobody could best her in a fight, but it'd be funnier if it were like, an emu, referencing the war that was waged and subsequently lost on emus

or like why does Ol' Nick wear a deer's skull. we already have Merasmus decked out in a cool skull hat. I didn't think there were any deer in the country - I'm still not sure, I think they might've been introduced in some really specific places but you just don't see deer in Australia.

I think what gets to me is that when it takes the piss out of America TF2 does it lovingly, like, it referencing actual people who lived there, presidents, etc. - Australia is just like. "Whatever." Not about to get started on how they completely mishandled the stuff they did reference, like using the colonizer name for an important indigenous site and making a stupid plot point out of it.

they made an evil Australian santa claus in Team Fortress and his sleigh isn't even pulled by six white boomers... snow white boomers...
