I desperately wanna create something huge one day. A graphic novel. A story. Anything.

But I'm so fucking scared that when my mom sees something of mine that comes straight from my heart, something so vulnerable and evocative, something that is truer than anything I have ever shared with her

She'll just be ashamed. My magnum opus is something she is ashamed by. Something she could never be fond of. Something queer.

I've currently finished the first 2 episodes of yellowjackets season one. So far? I'm fucking traumatized oh dear lord I have never watched something that has gripped me to the core like this. I've never experienced something so effective in its torture and storytelling. It's so fucking good oh my GOD. LIKE. THERE IS NEVER A MOMENT OF RELIEF FOR ME. EVERY GOOD, LIGHTHEARTED MOMENT JUST DOES MORE WORK TO LET THE DREAD SINK IN. maybe this is because the story's only starting????? Maybe I'll grow numb to the pain and it stops being so hard hitting????? But honestly I kind of hope I don't. Because holy fucking shit this tragedy is so engaging. Engaging in its presentation, engaging in it's structure, the way it chooses to characterize these girls. What a gutsy and immaculate mixture of teenage girlism, psychological horror, and honestly, sexual frustration and loneliness. Fuck. Fuck. Ofh. Argh. Oh fuck.

My heart is still shaking. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Because it's been like this for hours.
