Okay, someone has probably touched on this before, but I've been wondering lately what Millard's life might have been like, before he was taken to the Loop. He was most likely few years younger when he started disappearing... If we assume that his parents were terrified by this, they would probably not want to take care of him any longer, which would mean that he was all by himself since he was somewhere between 8-14 I’d say.

Being invisible is a crazy fucking concept in general but like.. Did he ever even had a chance for someone to notice him? And if- Did they actually acknowledge him as a person/human or did they rather thought of him as a ghost, a voice in their head or a lack of sleep that sharpened their imagination?

Many people are outcasts to the society and stuff but they are still at least the part of the society. Avoided and mistreated but yk-present (?) And he probably wouldn’t be, because how could anyone’s brain comprehend the fact that someone is invisible?

I think his actual social life must have only started as he got into the peculiar community. And still, the damage of not having it previously, in one of the most important stages of human’s development, would fuck him up a lot.

I have so many things to say about that, , idk. I mean that is if we assume his parents left him, because i don’t really remember if it was ever explained and I don’t have time to re-read the whole series for the 19363th time.

also i have just started a class that will determine my future career path (hopefully) so i need my focus on that rather than the fanfics i write in my free time

i’ll be back when i feel better about my writing and don’t feel like i have to put out work that is half assed just to put something out
