Over the years the citizens of Gaza received hundreds of millions of dollars, Hamas took these funds and used them for terrorist purposes while they use the people of Gaza as a human shields.

Israel has spent millions of dollars on the Iron Dome, a system defending its citizens from life-threatening rockets (yes firing from Gaza). While Hamas defends its rockets by placing civilians in their proximity to act as human shields.

You know the conflict in Israel and Gaza is really complex and I don't pretend to understand it either, but I really think we need to be more careful with what we write online especially if we “try” to explain the situation to others.

So pls be more careful with the information you share there is so much fake news and hate online right now…

Okay, I'm gonna keep this super short because a) it's not my responsibility to educate you b) I’ve been receiving so many asks about this all in the same pattern and I have no interest in engaging in a Tumblr war c) this person’s goal seems to more about proving me wrong than creating awareness on their own platform about what they believe to be right. 

“Israel does not control Gaza” - Israel controls Gaza Strip's airspace, and territorial waters and controls the movement of people or goods in or out of Gaza by air or sea. It's literally in control of Gaza's borders.

Currently, Israel cut off the water supply to the Gaza Strip a week ago. 

You might not have political or legislative control of a place. But if you have control to a place’s basic needs (water, air, electricity) and if you control it’s borders (restricting the movement and mobility of the people), then it is in control of that place. 

Like I said, I’m going to keep it short. So, please do your own further research. 

And if you are ‘trying’ to educate people, I’d recommend you use resources other than Wikipedia (which is a user-generated source which can be edited by anyone at any time)
