It's killing me that on this smol bean fandom hellsite, the most popular versions of flawed complex characters like Peter, Harry, Norman, and Otto who either have asshole moments (Peter and Harry) or are outright raging assholes (Norman and Otto) are arguably the most sanitized ones where they are likable and relatable and easy to write as cinnamon rolls who are cute and sad and did nothing wrong, either bc they are genuinely totally nice or have their agency removed so that they are not responsible for their actions - but then the most popular version of Curt, who is actually an unequivocally nice person who is sad and did nothing wrong, at least not by choice, is the fucking fashy eugenicist, I hate it here.
