like. why make percy hate grover at first. WHY make annabeth be the one to see the fates cut string. why make annabeth push percy into the lake instead of him surviving by himself. why introduce each monster with an aural character card, why not let percy and co figure it out? why keep making percy have annabeth and grover almost 24/7 when one of the points of the first book (and honestly a motif of the rest of the series) is that sometimes you really are shit out of luck and only have yourself and your wits. percy JUMPED from the arches in st louis, he didnt lose his grip. why give him four pearls when the POINT was that he couldnt save his mom??? (ive only just finished episode 5, so maybe they do it justice?? idk) so many odd choices disney+ is making and these are only off the top of my head
