I think it was middle school, because of the classes we had and the fact that Garu/Karu were playing with the teacher’s kids after school. (Karu taught them to gamble.) I just held my hand out to him, and he took it. We were in science class, so perhaps there was a biology subject that’s uncomfortable to a snake youkai, so he needed comfort. And his hand was warm, like a snake carefully controlling the temperature of her eggs so all the snakelets hatch.

awww that's cute as hell i wonder if they were going over oviparity or the most deadly venoms or maybe just straight up talking about predatory birds yoinking snakes off the ground and
