Tag Notes:

Topic tkags: tkag ndn shit: the archivist is indigenous so ndn graffiti tends to catch my eye a lot. these topic tags are intended for pick-me-up browsing so these topic tags will feature like positive-to-neutral content. e.g. homophobia will not get tagged with- tkag gay shit: the archivist is also multi-flavr queer. as above, intended for pick-me-up browsing. tkag acab: cats are great. no comment. tkag 🇵🇸: may add others as they arise.

Context tkags: tkag alleys: stuff that was in an alley. useful especially if you're looking for garage doors but nearly anything photographed in an alley should be tagged with this. tkag mailboxes: mailboxes, utility boxes, newspaper boxes, also sometimes parking metres and other odds and ends. tkag murals: things that seem to be sanctioned, permitted, or commissioned. keyword is seem. my lens tends to be less interested in these, just because i feel like they often get plenty of attention elsewhere. tkag doors: a personal fascination, those little doors and alcoves that act as like local tag archives. tkag pastes: i try to tag wheatpastes with this, it's an old habit from a past life i guess. tkag pipes: similar to mailboxes, this is kind of a catch-all for little non-box-shaped objects. may also include street and utility poles depending on what part is in frame. tkag signs: may also include lampposts, crosswalk buttons, and other sign-like devices tkag ttc: stations, stops, and on-train decor. tkag truck-kun: vehicles in general but mostly will be like delivery trucks. name is stupid but i like having fun sometimes so im keeping it. tkag trains: might not populate this but if i record any freight train decor it will be tagged thus. does not include train track areas etc. only the trains themselves. tkag up high: stuff that probably required some intrepid climbing or creative solutions. tkag down low: mostly pavement painting, sidewalks, that kind of thing.

Further notes: I may sometimes tag specific phrases that are in frame, or add little comments in the tags for funsies. I do not [currently] keep track of specific people's tags and am not currently making any effort to record or link the artists of signed murals. This may change in the future. I do not currently tag specific neighbourhoods or record the exact date the photograph was taken. That's something I might dig into once I have the opening batch uploaded.
