This is Lox. People from this years Art fight might recognize her. I’ve given her a bit of a redesign. (Click for better quality, you know the drill)

And here’s a fun fact about me: I love making up video games. And then making fake concept art for said made up video games. The idea I currently have in my head is a game copying inspired by legend of Zelda, specifically the 3d games. It would have the same gameplay loop (go into a dungeon, solve the puzzles, fight some monsters, get an item, defeat the boss of the dungeon, rinse and repeat). But instead of the classic fantasy style Zelda has, this game would have more of a sci-fi/Cyberpunk vibe. And Lox here would be the Link replacement.

The entire game takes place in one giant city, with the dungeons being various buildings in it.

So far this is all I have to show for what the dungeons would look like though. This would be sort of like the wind/sky temple, except it’s a skyscraper (I know, I know, I’m a genius for coming up with that.) some other ideas I have for possible dungeons are maybe something like an old abandoned steampunk factory that you would have to slowly reactive bit by bit to make your way through, or a chemical plant that could work as a water temple. I just gotta sketch these ideas out a bit more.

Ok, back to Lox. This was about her.

I’m still not fully sure what I want to do with her character tbh, or what her deal should be, but that’s a problem I have with all my OCs. I love designing characters, but when it comes to actually making them interesting and giving them a story I’m useless. How do writers do it. This is hard. I still have no plan what the plot would really be about.

Anyways, in an attempt to give her character and to separate her more from her counterpart (Link) I decided that you know what? I should make her more angry in her adventure. I would imagine that she has a kind of „It’s rotten work. Especially to me. Especially if it’s you. I’ll fucking do it but Christ Alive.“ attitude towards being a Video Game Protagonist. She will get it done but she will complain the whole time.

Oh boy you can really see the Zelda Influence here. I think for the battle one I actually just drew over a screenshot from Ocarina of Time and replaced it with some random enemy design I came up with on the spot. Yes. It’s color palette is atrocious. I’m aware.
