RD AU Draft: 1

(Considering this a draft because its unedited and I haven’t added everything in yet- but feel free to read it! The finished part will most likely be uploaded on ao3 but I’ll be sure to post a link to it on here--) Anthony could remember his years of playing derby clear as day. He could remember the fun he had, the friends he made, and the genuine experience of being part of a team that helped him become who he was now. He wanted nothing more than to help others find that experience, especially his friends now.

But, Tyler was difficult to convince.

“I’m telling you Tyler, it’s a great idea! Think about it- you’ll get to hit people and roller skate! It’s, like, two of your favorite things!” he encouraged while grabbing a pair of skates from the shelf. “Plus- then you have a reason to own a pair of your own skates,” he added as he examined the pair and then put them in front of the tall male on the other side of the counter.

Tyler rolled his eyes a bit and grabbed the pair, putting down two dollars on the counter and shrugging. “I don’t think It’s as good as it sounds,” he responded, “Plus ain’t it a girl’s sport?” Anthony shook his head. “Hell no! Its an anybody sport! I played it,” he stated proudly. “Even more reason to believe its a girls sport-” he laughed as he got a gentle smack to the arm. “Come on, please? Just come watch a bout, just one. I promise you’ll change your mind.”

The silence from the other told Anthony he was considering it, which made him happy. He got even happier when he heard the sigh. “Fine. One bout, but if I don’t like it we’re never discussing this again. Deal?”

“Deal!”

“But… There is one more thing,” he mumbled. He sent him a look, more of a glare than anything, and sighed again. “What?” he asked. “I need you to help me convince Evan to go too.” A groan left Tyler and he turned his head to glance around, spotting the mentioned man at the concessions counter. “No,” he looked to Anthony, plead in his voice. “Look, I love Evan, he’s probably one of my closest friends, after you, but he is the worst person to convince into doing things,” he complained. “Oh come on, Tyler. I already talked to him about joining- I just need you to help me convince him into actually watching a bout.”

“No.”

“Please?”

“No-”

“I’ll give you a free snack coupon!”

Tyler begrudgingly followed Anthony over to where Evan was sitting. His arms crossed and the Canadian look up right in time to see them. “Ah! Bout time you made it, Ty, I was starting to get worried,” he laughed softly. “Worried about what? Some idiot kidnapped me?” he joked back, and Evan rolled his eyes. “No, that you somehow made a new friend to hangout with,” he fired and Anthony snickered as Tyler fought back a smile to try and look offended. Then, he sat down across from Evan at the table and Anthony sat by Tyler. “Who you got on the counter?” Evan asked, not looking back and instead focusing on tying his skates. “Janet,” Anthony answered back, “She’s pretty mad about it.”

Evan chuckled and nodded a small bit before sitting up straight and grabbing his drink. “So, what’d you need, Anthony? You don’t usually leave your work just to talk, at least when its so busy,” he pointed out. “I want you to go to a bout with me and Tyler,” he stated, not wasting time. Evan blinked. “A bout?” he asked. “A derby game,” Anthony corrected, after realizing that the other wouldn’t know what a bout was. “Oh,” he mumbled, messing with the straw in his cup before he nodded some. “Is this about you wanting me to join that team your making?” he followed up. Anthony nodded firmly. “Yeah! I already got Tyler to say maybe!”

Evan glanced from Tyler to Anthony, his brows furrowing as he took a sip from his drink and signaled for him to keep talking. “Come on, Evan, think about it,” Anthony edged, “You get to hit people and go fast in a circle- its kinda like hockey!” The Canadian then huffed after he swallowed. “I’m not telling you again- it's nothing like hockey,” he pointed out and then glanced off. “But… I guess I can go to one game with you two and check it out,” he decided, nodding to confirm it. “Only on one condition, though” he quickly added. Anthony nodded, already celebrating getting Evan to agree; “Yes, anything!” Evan chuckled and looked at Tyler. “Ty’s gotta wear an outfit I choose for him at the game.”

Tyler’s face paled and he glared, already knowing the outfit he was talking about. “No.”

Anthony blinked, confusion washing over his face as he glanced to Tyler, and then Evan. “What?” he asked.

“Ty’s gotta wear an outfit I want him to wear at the game,” he repeated, not breaking eyecontact with Tyler, his grin widening. “No- Anthony, come on! Don’t let him do that- we can get someone else!” he pleaded. Anthony looked between the two again before his gaze just focused on Tyler. “Come on Tyler,” he mumbled, nudging him gently. “Why don’t you just do what he wants?” Tyler glared at him. “No! Cause I know what he wants and he is not getting it!”

Tyler couldn’t believe he was letting Evan choose what he wore. He stared at Evan as he rummaged through his closet excitedly, looking for one specific box Tyler knew he had and hated it. “Why do you even keep it?” he asked. “It’s stupid,” he added in a grumble. Evan paused, taking a moment to look back at him with a grin. “It was a gift to you, and if you aren’t going to keep it, I am.”

He turned and Tyler fell silent, though his thoughts were basically loud enough for Evan to hear.

Finally, Evan grinned and pulled out a large box. It had taken some moving of things and random objects, but here it was. He moved to the bed and placed it down happily, letting Tyler reluctantly open it and groan at the sight. “Well? Hurry up and change! Anthony will be here any minute,” Evan chuckled and moved to leave the room.

Looking at the clothes in the box, Tyler sighed and got started. He took a hat off the top and placed it onto the bed. The hat was stupid, it had supidly large, blue cat ears on it that made Tyler cringe. Then, he pulled out a shirt. It was hot pink and had a paw print design on it. There was also a pair of hot pink pants with a similar design to match.

Then, to top it all off was a jacket with a realistic print of a cat's body.

He was going to look fucking rediculoud.

He hated his life too much sometimes.

Regardless, he changed into the clothes and walked out of the room, fighting back his embarrassment. Though, it all returned when he got to the living room and Evan saw him nearly immediately.

“Oh my god-” the Canadian snickered and then laughed, bringing a hand to cover his mouth. “You look so-so,” he couldn’t get the words out. Tyler rolled his eyes and flipped him off. “Whatever, fuck you.”

Anthony had, had a similar reaction to Evan’s, but he got over it quickly in place of his own excitement.

The entire trip to the skate park was about how much they were going to enjoy the bout, how much fun they were going to have. Even after they had gotten inside and seated it was still just him blabbering on.

“They’re so-so cool! I promise you’ll both enjoy this and-”

Tyler put his hand on Anthony’s mouth. “Okay, we get it. Calm down, dude,” he mumbled. After getting a nod, he removed his hand. Then, he jumped in his seat after hearing a voice. “Tyler?” he turned his head, fear raising in hm. More people he knew meant more people not letting him live down the fact he wore this outfit, meaning more jokes, meaning- wait.

“Luke?” he asked, snickering.

The man infront of him grinned and crossed his arms. “The one and only,” he chuckled. “What’re you doin’ here? I didn’t know you liked derby,” he asked, curious. Tyler shrugged. “I don’t know if I do. My friend dragged me out here to watch. What are you doing here and-” he giggled, “With bunny ears?” Luke blinked and then chuckled. “These?” he gestured up, “Aren’t mine. I stole them from Ryan. He came with me this time, I usually regular the bouts.”

“No way is Ryan here,” he spoke, genuinely surprised. “Oh, yeah. It's his first time to one of these too,” he explained, “I wanted to get him introduced to a new sport.” Tyler nodded, and glanced over to his friends, who were both sort of looking at him in confusion. “Oh, right. Luke,” he looked at him again, smiling some, “This is Evan and Anthony, my friends. You and Ryan should come sit with us.” Luke smiled at the other two, getting polite smiles in turn. “Sounds great!” he agreed. “I’ll go find, Ry and tell him we’re over here,” he added and turned to walk away.

Anthony grew more excited for the bout.

“Keep going!” Tyler shouted, watching as the girl quickly moved her way out of the group and onto the turn. The crowd cheered excitedly as well. “Yeah! You kick their asses, AnnihilateHer!” he shouted, gripping the edge of his seat. He was having a better time then he thought he would.

Evan watched the girl quickly move her way around one that tried to stop her, his eyes wide in amazement and his smile wide. “Good job!” he shouted, hoping his encouragement would reach her as she sped a corner.

Tyler watched her with careful eyes and then he glared at the ref who called her, managing to hear it was a backblock- like the eighth one called to night (not on just her). “She wasn’t anywhere near her back! Open your fucking eyes!” he yelled at the ref and he kicked the wall in front of him. That was about the seventh time he’s done that.

Anthony laughed gently. He was glad his friends were enjoying themselves. “I told you both you’d like it,” he teased as the jam ended. Tyler looked at him, his eyes wide and his grin crazily wide. “Dude this is sick! It’s so fucking cool- I can’t believe they’d allow a sport like this,” he laughed. “It’s wild,” he chuckled. “You’re wild,” Evan snickered, “You’ve kicked that wall several times, and I think you’re voice is loud enough the refs hear you the last few times. Control yourself,” he teased and got a punch to the arm in turn. “Shut up and let me have this,” he stated, but there wasn’t any spite or sarcasm, he was still smiling and having a good time. This was fun!

He looked to Ryan and Luke, who were in a similar state, though Luke was calmer due to having seen this all live so many times.

“And she just slammed into her-” Ryan exclaimed, hands flailing as he tried to explain. “Yeah, I know, Ry. I saw it,” Luke laughed softly and he looked at him with wide eyes full of awe. “They didn’t flinch, Luke! That’s amazing! This is really cool-” he looked to the track as a new pack formed. “Can you imagine if I did that?”

Anthony’s head turned to Ryan quickly at that. “You can,” he answered him. Ryan paused and looked back, curiosity in his eyes. “What?” he asked. “You can totally do that. In fact, I’m making a men’s team- if you want to play,” he offered and Ryan stared before grinning wide. “Maybe, I’ll think about it.”

“I’ll do it,” Luke followed, gaining eyes. “I’ll totally play for your team. You should too, Ry,” he looked at him, smiling. “It’ll be fun!”

Tyler looked at Ryan, nodding. “I was the first to join, can confirm it's very fun-” “You didn’t want to join,” Anthony cut in and Tyler looked at him with a glare. “I was the first you asked which makes me first to join,” he stuck his tongue out at him, and Anthony stuck his out in turn before they both chuckled. “I was second to join then!” Evan declared, snickering.

Luke looked at Ryan as he spoke. “I was third. You wanna be fourth Ry? You wanna do what those awesome girls are doin?” he asked, encouraging him to join. Ryan bit his lip lightly, thinking it over before he nodded. “Yeah… Yeah! I do! I wanna do that shit too! Consider me on the team! Whenever it's actually made anyways,” he grinned.

Anthony couldn’t believe his team was actually beginning to form.

hu tao also comes to visit zhongli and co but he’s so wary of her because is she about to pull a prank- really she just brings him some tea he likes and wishes his s/o well <3 she probably sings to them too but it’s a little creepy if you listen to the lyrics LOL

her partner stays in ningguang’s home and she’s working from home for a while <3 there are millelith guards and members of the qixing popping into her home office and even beidou once or twice. bei is also worried ab ning’s partner, but she’s doing the hearty slap on the back and the “get well soon!”

ningguang ordering food from wanmin and xiangling personally delivering it <3 xiangling and guoba are both showing up with some hot soup and guoba is there for cuddles pls he’s so cute

ningguang will read to her partner, probably tells them about her day and entertains small talk until they fall asleep

she cooks some of her qiankun mora meat and tries to make her partner soup <3 the millelith and the qixing have never seen their tianquan in a kitchen working before but she would only ever do it for the people she loves

she stays at her partner’s place while they’re sick because the crux might make them feel seasick instead

but she goes back and forth to the crux to get her things and take care of business and such. her crew probably loves her partner so they have things for bei to bring back <3

bei doesn’t even leave her partner’s town but she’s got sango pearls, cecilias, qingxin, cor lapis jewelry, dendrobiums (even though those are like. blood flowers. they’re pretty it’s fine) and many many fruits

xiangling comes by with food for bei and co and sticks around to hear beidou telling her partner stories about her time at sea

beidou is. she’s so buff okay. she carries her partner in and out of the room and to the living room or kitchen or brings everything to her partner and you can see how defined her muscles are bye i’m in love with her

we already know bei learned to cook a little bit from xiangling but beidou is absolutely learning to cook more while her partner is sick. xiangling is there giving her cooking lessons while beidou’s partner watches <3 bei with that look of concentration and she’s so quick with the knives too i’m- okay but her spoonfeeding her partner?? *chef’s kiss* ;)

beidou puts too much pepper in a dish and it deffo clears sinuses LMAO but she tried and it actually does taste very good if you can handle your spice 🤷‍♀️ i cannot so find me with a gallon of milk later

n e ways beidou cuddles her partner to sleep and falls asleep as soon as she knows they’re resting <3 many cuddles and many kisses, even if they insist not to because cooties will get u sick bei 🥺

visits bubu’s pharmacy to get her partner’s medicine herself but also has remedies from other places too! zhongli deffo helps her with some other gifts for convalescents so it’s historically, traditionally and socially acceptable

is so worried omg

wherever his ass is, he’s going to his partner as soon as he finds out they’re sick. he’s so frowny and worried it’s almost cute but also,,,kazu it’s a cold, it’s FINE

he goes to collect qingxin and sweet flowers and stuff himself and makes his own poultices and soups and such <3

he shows up at his partner’s home with arms and buckets of flowers and herbs as soon as he possibly can. bei understands if he has to go tho, she gives him leave uwu

makes his partner soup and dried fish and gives them many smooches <3 they are not allowed out of bed LOL they just have to stay there and wait for him to dote on them

many many cuddles and smooches. he plays leaves and grass and recites poems for them he’s so cute <3 sigh, this man plays grass and i’m out here simping

also comes bearing gifts from wherever he was last tho. if he was on the crux, he’s probably got gifts from beidou and the crew even if they don’t really know kazu’s partner, they just know he’s happy and that’s what matters. if he’s not on the crux, his boss probably gives him leave and a gift or smth even if it’s just like a tea or a bottle of wine or smth

he’ll cuddle and be a blanket. but he’s also got fabrics that beidou picked up in inazuma and he uses that as a blanket for his partner <3

will tell his s/o stories of his childhood, his time wandering, his time with the crew, his work. anything they want to know or have questions about, he’ll tell them.

she’s so worried she’s such a sweetie omg

she goes to her partner immediately and fusses over them before they have to gently tell her that they’re fine

she goes to collect sweet flowers and stuff and goes to ohm, albedo and barbara for help making medicines and such

doesn’t want to leave her duties unattended to but jean also knows that amber wants to be with her s/o so she tells amber that she has fewer duties for her <3

jean tells kaeya to go make sure amber is doing okay and doesn’t need help or anything so he drags ohm, diluc, albedo and lisa too LOL

lisa was planning on going anyway, she just used diluc to carry her books w this opportunity <3 albedo is just treating amber’s partner w meds and potions and things and lisa takes a peek at that too

she’s so sad she doesn’t have ohm’s super cold skin so she can’t be a human cooling pack for her partner </3 but she gives them many smooches on cheeks and foreheads and temples

barely resists giving her partner kisses on the lips bc she still wants to go to work but also wants to give her partner what they need and sigh. it’s a struggle for amber

she wears pajamas and cuddles with her s/o <3

wants to take some time off to help her partner feel better but also doesn’t want to leave work. ningguang probably sends her home at some point because she’s fretting and working and stop feeling so bad keqing, you have sick days

she still goes to work but she’s just taking marginally shorter days sigh, she goes home early instead but brings work home so she can do it while sitting with her partner

wears leisure clothes when at home with her partner but the fact that she has clothes she doesn’t use for work is shocking LMAO the cat ears stay tho ;) catgirl always

ganyu comes by with keqing’s work, some wanmin takeout and a card and gift for her partner <3

xiangling hears that keqing is home with her partner while they’re sick and brings food over to keqing’s. she’s got extra golden shrimp balls for keqing. AND AGAIN. GUOBA CUDDLES ❤️❤️❤️

keqing feels so bad for not doing as much work, she’s making herself almost as sick as her partner </3

ningguang comes over one night with beidou while keqing is doing work in bed while her partner is resting and she sees keqing stressed as all hell. she just gives keqing some food and tells her to actually rest. soft!ning and bei being moms god i love them

okay but keqing tucking her partner in with a sweet kiss before retreating to her work in the corner, the lamps turned to the lowest they can possibly be because keqing refuses to leave her beloved but can’t not do work

keqing trying to cook food for her partner that isn’t meant specifically for survival but for taste is so cute. she’s trying to cook golden shrimp balls and soup and stuff and she’s not bad at it! she took a single night of giving her s/o hot tea and some wanmin soup before she learned the whole cookbook so she can be the one to cook for them <3

venti

he brings his partner wine u cannot tell me otherwise

he goes to diluc’s. not the tavern but straight up dawn winery and asks diluc if he can get a bottle of wine for his s/o and please please please he’ll go fight some of those slimes for you, please? with the big 🥺 and staying outside diluc’s window to beg bye

diluc just gives him the wine with a glare but won’t make venti do the commission <3 venti legit says “thank barbatos” and gives diluc an ~ehe~ before he gets ready to glide away. he turns around and asks diluc if he’s sure he can’t do the comm but diluc just glares at him all broody~

diluc comes by to check on venti’s partner too bc where does venti live- venti is just camping out at his partner’s place for now and feeding them and giving them wine and diluc just kinda goes a little pink but glares while he says “get well soon” and leaves a windwheel aster from near the winery

venti makes soup and many vegetable/fruity foods because “they’re good for you! have some wine with that ehe”

jean comes by at some point with barbara to check on venti and co. they’ve got other foods and some hydro healing for venti’s partner <3

ohm comes over to see his friend and brings him some medicines, food and wine. he gets to witness the anemo god get all soft and squooshy for his s/o it’s so sweet

he uses anemo to entertain his partner with some gentle breezes playing through leaves <3 but he also plays his lyre for them and gives them smooches in between and during songs because he’s a god ofc he isn’t gonna get sick, pay the bard with kisses. and where’s his gratuity :( 😗

he doesn’t read to his s/o but he does tell them stories with a musical accompaniment. sometimes his partner will fall asleep so he just smiles so softly and tucks them in and continues playing his lyre at the window while they sleep <3

but also brushing his partner’s hair back and giving them a kiss on the forehead please i love my beloved kinnie

n e ways venti forehead smooches and playing the lyre for his s/o <3 no cough meds ehe, just dandelion wine and whatever ohm gave him (that was, in fact, the cough medicine)

scaramouche

bro this dude looks like he CANNOT be assed but he really cares <3<3

his work schedule doesn’t change but he’s going to his s/o’s home super often with soup and food and medicine and extra blankets

even to his partner, scara looks broody but he always looks like that LOL

tartaglia finds out where scara is going and he brings food and toys and stuff too <3 scara later has to read one of the kids books tartaglia brought and he refuses to voices but it’s very sweet anyway

scara probably asks sandrone if his doctor brother can get him some good cold medicine but would never admit that he asked ohm for help LOL. ohm shows up anyway and finds out <3

can and will cook soup but that’s all you’re getting from him. the takeout he brought is most definitely not something he made, no sir’am he would never do something as soft as cook for them. soup doesn’t count, it’s oboiling water with some added flavor, shut up tartagalicious he’s not soft

will give his partner kisses only after he thinks they’re asleep. refuses to give them any affection besides a headpat or two and maybe one hug when he shows real concern. his partner isn’t quite yet asleep one time and then feigns sleeping when they hear scara’s whispered “i love you” and he presses a kiss to their forehead 🥺❤️

he takes off his hat inside the house but will go around with a blanket around his shoulders to mock his partner smh. the blanket is on his head like a hood and he fake sniffles with an almost derisive laugh but he gives his partner a real smile at the end <3

9/10 times will never admit that he’s soft unless it’s a Very Serious Moment but he’s a squishy dood for his s/o and his s/o only

will not read or sing to his partner but he’ll sorta cuddle if they ask very nicely and many times. it’s just kind of him sitting next to them and they kind of have to muzzle before he’ll move his arm for his own comfort LMAO

will bring his partner gifts and food, a few flowers but he’ll just claim he’s delivering it from someone else with a look of fake disgust </3 maybe like two of those are actually from other ppl and not him

when his partner is actually feeling really sick, he won’t be a big smol meanie and he actually looks so concerned~ his partner means a lot to him and he doesn’t want them to feel sick or in pain so he’ll cuddle them unprompted and rub their back, run his hand thru their hair, soft forehead and temple kisses and “i’m here, baby” and “i love you” and falling asleep with his partner tucked under his chin <3 he’s actually so sweet bye 😭

thoma feels so bad when his partner is sick. it isn’t even his fault but he feels so bad because he wants to protect them, even from tiny little germs 😭 i’m sorry u can’t be my immune system thoma it’s FINE

hfjsjss thank you so much! bad buddy is truly one of the best things that we’ve gotten, like everything about it from the cast, the dialogue, the storytelling, just so good and there’s none of that ~weird & gross shit that’s present in a lot of bl’s. I’m not sure if there really is anything similar to like, like as cliche and tropey BB is, it’s also just really unique. A tale of thousand stars is by the same director as BB but it has a heart transplant storyline which not everyone likes but its still really good)

But some other good ones I would suggest checking out are: cherry magic (it’s just really wholesome and the plot seems a little silly but god I loved it so much when it was airing and we get a CM movie so!! ), where your eyes linger (I literally cannot shut up abt wyel, it’s one of my favs despite being short so I might be biased but it’s got the whole bodyguard, friends to lovers trope), light on me (this one was fairly recent, but it’s set in high school, just about a boy & finding his first love lol and I like that it really managed to redeem all of its characters by the end also shinwoo <33), I told sunset about you (it’s more of a coming of age story and has some of the best cinematography & good characters, it felt like a realistic portrayal of coming to terms with your sexuality (for me, personally) esp teh’s character also there is a s2 but i never watched it so, gaya sa pelikula (it’s sorta cohabitation + pretend relationship, but both the characters are just really well written and it’s just really good lmao), to my star (fairly short (we’re getting s2 soon tho!) but about a chef and an actor, living together also it’s by the same director as wyel sooo), kieta hatsukoi (it’s still airing, but it’s really cute and the communication between the characters is rlly rlly good), , 2gether + still 2gether (there’s a few iffy parts for me and i didn’t particularly like the whole pam side plot, it was dumb but i really enjoyed it when it was airing also one of the reasons i made a tumblr lmaoo, its just really cheesy and lighthearted and just fun to watch),  he’s coming to me (personally I can’t get myself to rewatch bc of one of the actors, but it has ohm and the plot is a little out there but its got a really good coming out scene but I also don’t rmr much about it lmao), his the series + the movie (they’re both really good but the series focuses on their younger selves and the movie is them as adults and finding their way back to each other

Fong’s a key element to Sarawat and Tine’s relationship: An essay

I talked about Fong’s actions confusing me after Tine confessed feeling shaken by Sarawat, but after revisiting all the episodes released, I compiled a bunch of moments Fong helped Tine with his feelings and played a wingman like a best friend would. Even when he tried to do the opposite. 

Yep, this is LONG.

1. The whole fake dating idea

I know asking for Sarawat’s help is Ohm’s suggestion, but it’s Fong to sow the seed of a fake relationship in the other three’s brains. They all share that one brain cell and we know it.

2. Pushing Tine to partake in Sarawat’s interests

They don’t have Sarawat’s number or LINE or anything other than his email. And after Tine essentially asked Sarawat for a one night stand (unknowingly, but... yeah) seeing Wat in person seems the way to go. It sorta makes sense if like them you believe the whole plan makes sense, I reckon.

3.  Encouraging Tine for the audition

Yeah, he totally fell asleep after promising not to, but he was there for support. And to sleep on Ohm’s arse, I guess.

4. Questioning Sarawat’s actions and motivations

Tine’s so sure Wat didn’t play along with the plan in front of Sarawat’s “fans” because Wat cares too much about reputation. But Fong casually brings up there’s a clip on the INTERNET of Sarawat-Tine doing a kissy pocky challenge.

5. Kicking Tine in the face

This one wasn’t completely safe for Tine, I suppose. But it led to Sarawat being all tender and taking care of Tine PLUS giving Sarawat some time alone with Tine since Man had to come collect a drunk Fong.

(That face caress melted my heart.)

6. Asking the real questions

That time Tine wanted to believe Sarawat made an IG (that only follows him) and has a phone full of pics of him as part of their plan. I am Fong’s expression during this scene. Always pointing out the flaw in Tine’s logic, even though he’s part of the dumb squad himself. No one else can be both bright AND dumb. He has my whole heart.

7.  Wondering about Sarawat’s feelings in all this

Here we have Ohm and Phuak poking fun at a panicked Tine’s involvement with Sarawat, and my boy Fong is all “what about HIM, though? he did left a cute note for you, bro” because Tine sure is leaping through hoops to explain why Sarawat slept at his place for someone who isn’t hiding anything.

8. Real talk about jealousy

I mean, it wasn’t the BEST advice, but again, when do their plans ever sound good? At least he got the idea through Tine’s stubborn skull. Even better is the rest of the conversation from this scene that’s shown after Tine realises he’s the one who’s jealous when girls swarm on Wat.

(I’m just unsure what kind of lakorn he’s watching that love gets proved easily.)

9. (Unknowingly) rubbing salt to the wound

Tine most likely invited him to play with him and get his mind off Sarawat and Earn. The betrayal to have his BFF ask about his rival (at least in Tine’s head) in love when all he wants is peace. Tine was so not amused.

10. Reminding Tine of his obligations

Phuak and Ohm all about getting Tine to drink and party with girls to celebrate Tine’s “freedom”, and my boy Fong is “yeah, what about the club you worked so hard to get in though???” despite agreeing with all the partying with girls and whatnot. By far the most reasonable in this group, I swear.

11. Bringing Sarawat up when Tine would rather NOT

Let’s not forget that this comes after Tine “broke up” with Sarawat. Let’s also not forget that this moment triggers Tine’s curiosity about why the hell Wat would keep such a important fact from him. It could be Ohm or Phuak to bring up the photo but it wasn’t any of them. My boy Fong again pushing Tine to apply some logic and seek answers.

12. Confronting Tine (since Tine won’t do it to himself)

He’s taking no prisoners. Asked why Tine couldn’t look him in the eye, asked what Sarawat told Tine, and even threatened to ask Sarawat himself if Tine didn’t talk. There’s friends and then there’s BEST friends.

13. Pointing out the obvious (and showing support)

I still don’t think it makes MUCH sense for him to be “against” Tine and Wat’s relationship, but at least he’s honest about what he’s seen. He’s witnessed Sarawat all worried about Tine (to the point that Wat disregarded his own injured knee) and he’s like “This dude is good for you. I didn’t see it that much before but I do NOW.” Admitting you’ve been wrong is growth!

14. Dropping metaphors like a KING

Even after Tine lies about “hating” Wat, Fong notices Tine’s jealousy right away. Not only does he point out that Tine should be used to Wat’s popularity (even though Sarawat pays no attention to anyone else), but he’s also “my dude, if this is the guy you HATE but even know his favourite drink, MAYBE you should hold on to the things you like and don’t lose something good. Oh and this in NO WAY relates to that guy over there that you HATE so much :)”.

15. Giving Sarawat insight on Tine’s thought process

This one somehow feels as important to me as #14. Why? Because as somebody that was never aboard with the whole really clueless!Tine trope, this scene solidifies for me the idea that Tine was simply lying to himself. Tine was intimidated by the thought of somebody like Sarawat (super popular around Uni and with hundreds of fans throwing themselves at his feet) liking him. Even before realising he also has feelings for Wat he kept denying it and looking for—going as far as creating—reasons for Sarawat flirting with him non-stop be a joke. 

It also goes hand in hand with how Tine confronted Wat once he learnt about them meeting at that Scrubb’s concert a year prior. When Tine argued with Wat he was mainly angry that Sarawat accepted the fake dating plan to “play with his feelings”. Now I ask how could Sarawat play with Tine’s feelings if Tine felt nothing for him...

And just for the sake of argument, let’s check the times Fong acted against that relationship.

1. Suggesting Sarawat should stop ‘helping’ Tine

This one made sense in that Tine hadn’t told his squad about Wat’s feelings for him yet. Since the whole plan was to keep Green away and we hand’t seen Green in some time, it all seemed to make sense. It had the opposite effect, as Green appeared again and Wat almost kissed Tine (again) and only made Tine more curious about how genuine Sarawat’s feelings for him are.

2. Becoming a human barrier between Tine and Sarawat

This one was funny because Fong tries to shelter Tine’s eyes, but Tine still tries to peek and even seems frustrated that the guys stop him from seeing a shirtless Wat. Little do they know that Tine already got front row ticket to the “Sarawat expo” some time ago. 

3. Setting Tine up for a possible confession

I mean, if Wat’s team lose that means he’ll stay away from Tine, but if Wat’s team win THEN Tine is pretty much already in a relationship. I know Fong came up with the bet sure that Wat’s team would lose, but that was risky. Double edged sword, really. Plus, it made Tine bail on a pretty girl, go root for Wat AND revealed that if Wat leaves Tine alone then Tine won’t do the same for Wat.

Oh, Fong. You sweet, misunderstood cupid. You’re valid even when you’re wrong. ❤

In conclusion: Fong plays an important role in making Sarawat and Tine’s relationship bloom even when he thought he was doing the opposite. I accept no one else to be Tine’s best man.

He stood outside the small restaurant, fidgeting with his phone in his pocket as he also tried to wipe the sweat off from his hands, waiting for a text from Anthony.

It feels like it was weeks ago that Anthony first messaged him to tell him that a friend of his would be staying near him for a couple of weeks and that he thinks it would be good to go on a blind date with him. At first, he’d rejected the offer, content in his solitude that he didn’t need anyone else, just Tiny. However, that night his thoughts gnawed away at him, a series of different scenarios and what-ifs floating around in his head so that by the time he woke up he realized just how lonely he was. How at that moment he craved affection, wanted to wake up with a warm body next to him and wanted nothing more than to snuggle next to someone and feel strong arms wrap around him, holding him close.

After the revelation his decision was made, quickly grabbing his phone off of the bedside table to quickly send a message to his friend saying that he’d changed his mind, and he’d love to go on a date if the other person was still willing.

He sat there leg shaking and biting his nails as he waited for a reply, he tried to distract himself best he could but to no avail, constantly checking his and Jigglys conversation to make sure the message did, in fact, send and that he didn’t somehow miss the reply.

After what felt like hours he finally got an answer ‘He’s still up for it’, letting out a sigh of relief he fell back onto his bed, his imagination already going wild about who his potential date might be.

 ****

Time flew over the next couple of weeks until eventually, it was the day of his blind date. Jiggly had mostly kept him in the dark about his suitor, refusing to give even a name, only a basic description of tall, dark hair, slight stubble.

About midday Anthony texted him the time and location of the date and he couldn’t help but feel his nerves curl in his stomach. Was this the right thing to do? He was perfectly alright on his own up until now, surely longer wouldn’t hurt? Yet even as he said that the hope that this date might turn into something was enough to quench his doubts.

He picked out a dark pair of jeans, slightly more snug than he would’ve liked, but they were the best pair he had, coupled with a light blue buttoned shirt and a jacket over the top. He didn’t like to think that he was the stereotypical girl before her first date, examining every outfit with utter scrutiny until he talked himself out of it, but he couldn’t help but feel like it wasn’t enough, that he wasn’t enough.

He decided to send a photo to Anthony for a second opinion, an immediate reply of multiple fire emojis followed by the words ‘HOT’, were enough to satisfy his nerves and with a final look in the mirror he quickly rearranged his hair, giving it a slightly more mussed look that people seemed to like before stepping outside to wait for his taxi.

Here he was waiting, unsure on whether his date was here, whether he should go in, what name the reservation was under. Questions began crowding his mind until he felt the buzz of his phone in his hand, quickly pulling it out to see what the text read.

‘Dates there already, table reserved under Wine. Have fun XD’

‘Let me know how it goes’

He read the texts a couple of times, so this was it, it was time to meet his blind date. He has a brief moment where he tried to remember where he’s heard the name ‘Wine’ before, but before he could get into his thoughts too much he made his way into the restaurant.

It was small and quaint, with candles on the table to light up the somewhat dim room, allowing for an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

A waiter was quick to greet him at the door and not long later he was quickly lead through the crowded restaurant to a small table in the corner next to a large window looking out on the Chicago Highstreet.

As much as he wanted to look up to see who his date was, he was too busy looking down so that he could weave his way through chairs and people, so it wasn’t until the waiter finally came to a stop in front of him that he looked up. His breath caught in his throat as he realized that it was Tyler who was his date, the same Tyler who liked to rage and cuss people out in the games they played together.

He slowly approached the table, noticing the bright smile on his friends face as he stood up to offer his hand to him, and he couldn’t deny how good his friend looked, only on instinct did he extend his own hand out, feeling Tyler’s warm hand grip his own before he sat down in the booth opposite his friend.

They were quick to list off their drinks orders to the waiter still stood there smiling as if this moment of first meeting endeared him somewhat before they were alone to talk amongst themselves.

“I’m Tyler, by the way, I don’t think Anthony told you my name because he sure as hell didn’t tell me yours”

He let out a small chuckle before offering a warm smile to the taller man “I’m Ryan and no he didn’t tell me a damn thing about you either”

As soon as he speaks he’s worried that his voice might be recognized, that Tyler would call him out straight away, but the laugh of his friend who seemed none the wiser put him somewhat at ease, glad that although it was a date he had some sort of familiar company with him, and that his microphone somewhat distorted his voice.

“As much I want to kick his ass for it he did choose well, I’ll give him that. You’re looking fucking hot tonight dude” He couldn’t help the blush that coated his cheeks at Tylers’ words, he’s sure the heat radiating off of him could heat the whole restaurant.

“You look great tonight too, I didn’t expect Anthony to set me up with-“ He just about caught his words before he potentially exposed himself, but his pause hadn’t gone unnoticed by the other man.

“Set you up with?” he quickly tried to come up with something to use, instead using something he found to be truthful whilst he hoped by the way he refused eye contact that it could be passed off as nervousness.

“Someone so good looking” The smile from the other man seemed to appease him somewhat and he quickly tried to change the subject somewhat. “I’m sorry if I come off as really nervous and shit, it’s been a while since I’ve been on a date” He conveyed a somewhat strained smile in the hopes to placate his friend.

“You and me both then” He shot his head up at the comment, he could’ve sworn the other man had been in a relationship up until recently, guilt was quick to fill him that he seemingly didn’t know his friend quite as well as he thought. “So how do you know Anthony?”

He didn’t like the fact that he had to be untruthful to his friend, but he also wasn’t ready just yet to tell him who he is in case the taller man got angry at him. Of course, he’d probably be angrier at his deception but a part of him wanted to see what would happen on this date, whether he and Tyler could ever feasibly be together and whether he was actually ready to date someone.

“uh, High school. He was my best friend in High School and we always just sorta kept in touch, what about you? I’m surprised he kept you under wraps from me” He let out a small giggle which was quickly joined by Tylers own, trying to play off the warm feeling in his chest at the small blush coloring the other man’s face.

“I work with him, gotta say he’s one of the nicest most genuine guys I’ve ever met, but I’m sure you already know that” The smile Tyler cast his way made his breath get caught in his throat, at that moment his friend was carefree, he was happy, and the candlelight painting him in a light glow only enhanced that and he looked beautiful.

“What is it you guys do? Anthony’s said he works online but that doesn’t really tell me anything” He tried to play off his innocence and Tyler seemingly bought it.

The other man sighed and ran a hand down his face, he could tell his friend was conflicted about telling him, but he was glad when he was deemed trustworthy enough to have the answer.

“I’m a Youtuber”

He tried to feign his best look of surprise and wonder at the comment, trying also to convey it when he answered. “No way, that sounds so cool! What sort of videos do you make?”

“Errr…Gaming”

“I’m a bit of a gaming nerd myself if I’m honest, what sort of stuff do you play?”

Bringing up the common interest between them made the conversation flow easily between the two of them, so much so that they quickly lost track of time and he quickly forgot that this was, in fact, a date. He felt sadness creep up on him when he realized it was time for them to leave, questions about whether they’d have a parting kiss or if Tyler would ever even want to see him again, for all he knew he could’ve hated every minute, were eating away at him.

“Do you want me to walk you back to your hotel?” He saw the look of surprise, which quickly turned to a soft smile from the taller man at the offer, but he couldn’t help but feel a slight sting at the rejection.

“I don’t want to put you out of your way, I think I’ll be fine thanks”

“Honestly it’s on my way home and I need the exercise anyway, you’d be doing me a favor” He tried to play off the comment with a small chuckle, trying not to put attention to the fact he’d just let some of his own insecurities come through. “Unless you don’t like me, I completely understand, I just thou-“

A warm hand quickly grabbed his own and soon he was being dragged down the sidewalk until he could come to his senses and keep pace with the younger man, only slowing their pace when they reached a small park “Your gorgeous Ryan, I’m surprised you even wanted to spend more time with me” He felt his hand being squeezed slightly and easily returned it, wanting to give some comfort to the man who in turn had let some of his own insecurities show.

He pulled on Tyler’s arm, bringing them both to a stop and waited for the younger man to turn and face him. “You’re amazing Tyler, you’re funny and kind and you don’t take shit from anybody, I wish I could be half the person you are. Not to mention you’re hot as fuck, but you already knew that”

“Ryan” He felt a warm hand cup his chin and watched the other man almost examine him as if trying to find a lie in his words, but he stood firm, knowing his words to be true. He felt his heart skip a beat when Tylers’ eyes came to rest on his lips for a moment and giving him one final look before lowering his head and pressing their lips firmly together.

Any qualms he had about kissing his friend were quickly diminished, instead letting himself enjoy the feeling of lips pressed against his own, letting Tyler press in as close as he could and letting the man’s free hand wander down his body until it gripped his hip in an almost bruising grip, as if the younger man didn’t want to let go.

Just as he felt Tylers’ tongue against his bottom lip, almost demanding entrance, he knew it was time to fess up, that his friend deserved better than this despite the fact he wanted nothing more to play along with the lie, to keep that contact with Tyler for as long as he could.

He quickly pulled away, once again guilt filling him at the flare of rejection he saw cross Tylers’ face before the younger man managed to compose himself, apology quick on his lips. “I’m sorry Ryan, I just-“

“I do Tyler, God I want to, but I need to tell you something first and you’re probably going to hate me for it afterward.”

The taller man moved away from him slightly and he tried to cover up his hurt at the loss, wanting to just cherish these last few moments before he was sure to lose his friend forever at the betrayal.

“Tyler I-“ He quickly broke off, trying to blink away the tears that were starting to form and clear the lump in his throat that was making it harder and harder to breathe. He mumbled out a curse, looking away from Tyler in an effort to compose himself until he felt warm hands grab his own, turning to see a soft smile of support from the other man.

“You can tell me, Ryan, It’s okay”

“Except it’s not okay. Tyler I-…” With a final sigh, he decided to just force the words out, eyes fixed on Tylers’ to convey that what he said was the truth. “Tyler I’m Ohm, as in Ohmwrecker, as in the guy you play games with sometimes. I’m sorry, I should’ve told you sooner, but it was so good to feel wanted for once and I let things get too far. I’m so sorry for misleading you Tyler, you deserv-“

“I don’t care”

He stopped his outpouring of words at Tyler’s interjection and from the look of surprise on the younger mans face he was surprised by his own reaction as well.

“I don’t care that you’re Ohm, well I do, but I don’t care that you lied to me. I haven’t had this much fun with someone in forever and I haven’t felt like this for someone in… fuck I don’t think I’ve felt like this with anyone, and that was all you. So, if you still want this, want me, then I’m 100% down”

He couldn’t help the smile that lit up his face, reflecting Tylers’ own before the taller man once again leaned down to press their lips together, and this time he gave the man free reign, letting them take their fill of the other before their lungs screamed for air and eventually they had to break away.

“I will, however, beat up Jigglys’ ass for doing this the sly fucker”

He laughed at the comment which was quickly stopped by lips pressing against his once again, allowing himself to drink in everything that was Tyler before he pulled them apart again.

“D’you wanna freak him out a bit?”

At Tylers’ nod, he pulled the taller man’s phone from his back pocket and a couple seconds later he had the camera ready, pulling the younger man down to press their lips together again as he pressed down on the shutter multiple times in the hopes that at least one of them would turn out good.

Tyler was quick to catch onto the plan, taking his phone from him and sending the best of the photos to their friend, as well as thanking him for setting them up and how they’d hit it like a house on fire.

It wasn’t even a minute before replies starting pinging through Tylers’ phone, each one from Anthony was more panicked than the last, his worry about whether Ohm had outed himself and whether he’d just ruined their friendship filling up his phone.

They let Anthony sit in his panic for a bit, instead opting to keep making out in the park and having to keep Tylers’ hands in check before they could get accused of public indecency. When they’d deemed it long enough they briefly skimmed through the 27 messages Anthony had sent them, instead deciding to take one last photo of them kissing but this time Tyler was flipping him off as well.

Feeling somewhat guilty he was quick to message Anthony saying how he’d told Tyler before the photos and that they were now dating, or at least he thought so.

After about a minute of having their friend cuss them out, he gave his congratulations to them, with the final comment that they now owed him before leaving them to themselves.

They quickly made the decision to go back to his house with Tyler eagerly agreeing to stay with him for the rest of his week to allow them to get better acquainted with one another.

Hands wrapped around the other’s waist, they made the journey to his home, thoughts on how they were going to troll the rest of their friends tomorrow, only enhancing the smile he had from getting the chance to be with the man beside him.

Usually, Ryan wears a fabric mask thing over his eyes (it makes him feel like daredevil--) but, when he’s doing normal stuff and not being out and about he wears glasses!

Luke loves the glasses look. Luke thinks its cute and he will continue to tell Ryan that.

Ryan is a strong boy. Luke was very surprised to learn that.

He learned it by getting injured on a mission and having Ryan carry him on his back out of the area. 

Luke is strong too, but Ryan was fucking sprinting! He was lifting him like nothing and sprinting!

Brian and David are both chaotic in their own ways

they both hate each other but not really. They’re just both dumb asses that know all the right ways to poke each others buttons.

Brian has labeled himself a Nogla translater. He understands the gibrish.

In turn, Nogla labels himself a Brian sensor. He can tell when the dude is scheming and he usually joins in on it.

The two hang out a lot and it’s usually pretty chill. 

In public they’re chaotic, but in private they act like the calmest men you’d ever meet.

Both love dogs, dogs are good. Good dogs.

They like animals in general- But dogs. 

If it weren’t for the fact that their group is stupid and they’re not in the house enough, they’d love to have puppies.

Their friend group thinks they act like an old married couple 90% of the time.

All five are listed under the cut- but I just wanna say these were really fun to think about and Terrorpanda and Mootoonz might be my two new favorite things ever. 

Gorrilatoonz:

I’d rate it a solid 8/10! Their relationship is pretty solid, but I think I’d prefer them to keep plantonic in the long end- which if that was the case they’d be a 10/10.

Prompts; “We teamed up to mess with our friends and I’m just realizing how fun you are to be around” or; “You’ve been my online friend for years and I’m just learning we grew up in the same neighborhood.”

HCs;

Gorilla is a bit of a cuddler and Luke honestly doesn’t mind.

Gorilla is also kind of a smartass sometimes and Luke does mind that. Mostly because he thinks it’s sorta funny but he won’t admit it.

The two are the dads of their group and they won’t admit it.

Ohm thinks it's all fun and games until Del called him Grandma.

They like to go out to eat a lot! If they can’t go anytime else, saturday is a designated dinner day.

Sometimes Luke does little pranks to mess with Gorilla and he’ll do it right back which eventually leads to a war.

Noglawrecker:

Giving it a pure 7/10! The two sound like they’d be cute together and I could totally see a fuel to the fire dynamic going with them! Kinda happy about the idea of them anyways which is neat.

Prompts; “Person A is a hot head and Person B is the flame to the fire” Or; “I just fucked up and now my friend group is after me, can I crash with you?”

HCs;

Nogla has no clue what a filter is half the time, so he speaks genuinely from the heart and there’s nothing there to cover it up.

This means Ohm gets a lot of random compliments at some of the most random moments.

Nogla is taller by a bit, so Ohm gets leaned on a lot but it’s fine cause Ohm is a little clingier than you’d think.

Nogla doesn’t mind, actually, he enjoys the affection and welcomes it with open arms (litterally).

Ohm can sing really well! He,, hides it, but he enjoys singing softly if Nogla ever picks up his guitar (which it a rarity in itself).

Nogla loves the singing, he loves his voice, and he really just loves Ohm. And, Ohm loves him too!

Squirellnoss (It honestly took me a minute to register that this was squirrel and vanoss-):

I’d give it a 5/10. I can see the two getting along well and being general bastards to everyone around them with their own specialized senses of humor. 

Prompts; “We both met because we were both planning the exact same joke on our friend and now we’re partners in crime” or; “I saw you try and do a backflip off a bench and now I’m going to be your best friend.”

HCs;

Squirrel is a lil more childish than Evan, but Evan loves the enthusiasm!

Sometimes it is a bit much though and he needs a break, but Squirrel respects that too and gives him time to himself, or they just spend a quiet day together!

It doesn’t take long for them to get chaotic again though.

Delirious was actually dreading the day they’d meet and now he sleeps with one eye open.

The guys have all met a similar fate.

Evan likes to go on park dates sometimes and it’s probably Squirrels favorite time because Evan is really pretty in contrast to nature.

Also he loves climbing trees with him and just watching the day go by.

TerrorPanda (TERRORPANDATERRORPANDATERRORPANDA-):

Ohmygod they are cute to think about and I love them. 9/10!! Gosh, their dynamic would be just the best, they’d probably be a really fun couple!

Prompts; “Person A is a confident asshole and Person B is their emotional support human” or; “You looked so confident in front of all those people but you’re actually super awkward and nerdy and I’m the only one who knows.”

HCs;

Dudes. They are the ideal “Hold my flower” “Kick their ass baby I got your flower!” couple.

Brian looks all confident and sometimes he comes off as an asshole.

Their group knows he’s joking of course, and Anthony actually kind of thinks its funny.

It’s entertaining to him watching this dork of a man go from “(nerd talk)” to “WHAT DID YE SAY YE BITCH” in two seconds flat.

They both info dump to each other. Anthony enjoys talking about pokemon and anime and so on so forth, while Brian enjoys talking about science and superheroes and yada yada!

It’s actually really heartwarming to them both that they can do this, even setting aside an hour everyday just so they can talk.

Anthony is,,, teddy bear. Brian has never experienced true warmth until Anthony- and Brian get’s sunburnt easily.

On that note, he’s pretty sure he’s gotten sunburn just from seeing Anthony smile.

MooToonz:

Honestly? I’ve thought about this one once! 7/10! Moo and Toonz would play off each other pretty well, and I think they’d both be in good company with each other!

Prompts; “Person A is an angel and person B is a demon- literal or not- and they become unlikely friends” Or; “I noticed you have a cat and I really like cats, so if you don’t mind can I pet and potentially steal your cat.”

HCs;

Brock really, honest to god, wasn’t expecting Luke to ever ask him out.

It was like the last thing he ever expected, and he wasn’t even sure what to say when Luke offered him dinner.

And, it was the best accidental “uhhuh” he’s ever done.

He absolutely loves everything about Luke, and the two have a strong belief in family that they really bond over.

Brock did, in fact, try to steal Luke’s cat. He just,, loves her.

Luke’s convinced that cat wants to be stollen because she’ll jump infront of Brock right before he leaves.

“She just loves me”

“And? I love you too, doesn’t mean I wanna be kidnapped.”

That’s the first time that Luke told Brock he loved him and Brock almost cried.
