For those who think Russia is all the way on the other side of the world...It's approximately 55 miles from us at the Bering Strait's narrow point. However, in the body of water between Alaska and Russia, known as the Bering Strait, there lies two small islands known as Big Diomede and Little Diomede. Interesting enough, Big Diomede is owned by Russia while Little Diomede is owned by the US. The stretch of water between these two islands is only about 2.5 miles wide and actually freezes over during the winter so you could technically walk from the US to Russia on this seasonal sea ice. This was brought up in Mr.Sina’s High school Social Studies “Hawaiian History” class @thewaimeahighschool and Mrs.Yaris @waimeacanyonmiddleschool . The class thought I was nuts, but theyve never seen a military meteorologist or engineers office ocean chart. English sucked, red marks everywhere, but I passed again. My cousin chillin at @malama_huleia after a good rinse for lunch and school. Mahalo ohana for that fun day in the mud! I seen photos of the trees and grandpas said I used to pull the mangrove seeds when i was 1 year old while mum oxtail the trees out of the seed patch. Shes a tree eater as much as tree grower. They asked her wheres all the men, we happy you came with baby wish had boys but they no like work. They said mum smiled, im mahu as why, the cousins will come they dont know your here. She tirnrd down yhe offer as director to do public broadcasting, educating the schools of the land and farming, the names of places and their solutions. As Kumu Malia @maliaandcompany she could move like water and educate Parents. She teamed up Alii with Papa Billy @pidfoundation and told him her plan, and contacted Mama Kumu Malia for @kawaikinincpcs because she knew it took too long to educate the government schools. Now Im 10, and Charley Mapuana and Kaha’i get to enjoy what cane out of my experiment 11 years ago. Project @thewestkauai escalated and Hanapepe ramp was built . Mahalo Unko Alex @kauaifarmplanning for urban planning tips and helping push this initiatives throughout and in the Agenda and @friends_of_derek_kawakami for your support. That first vids we seen promoting people to support skate life had additions, Uncke @calebaero mums bro and Mayor showed us their skills at 45 and said yes to making more accessible space. Mums a good teacher her weird talk makes people excited and make stuff. So now We have more friends because only few big boys came to Boneyards and Unko Fitz was bummed it was taken down…Mum knew it was coming- the walls of our house has notes and drawings and Unko Alex was able to put most of it in official records while she was hospitalised…just incase . Glad they are both consultants for rural and urban planning but mom had other training on land issues that was directed to certain programs to help each project and he researched it, mum learned how the program process worked from Grandma O and Uncke Wade, which also helped Mayor Carvalho input native plants, Kauai Made, culture and economic events, bus stops, road fix, ag issues in previous years. The other uncles have been saying they tried to get something like this going. She said they never asked, they only call for PR party? Only me. More changes were approved at her Block Party Plan and we get to enjoy the expansion of that and park events. If you read the texts it was gonna happen privately, even if it wasn’t approved.
