hrm so i’m doing an ice type-only sword run now and i’ve reached the big dilemma point of…… there are ACTUAL legendaries i could go and get before the first gym. dynamax adventures have articuno and kyurem at level 70 so they would sweep most of the rest of the game.

that’s……. kinda against the spirit of the challenge (ice types suck so it’s meant to be hard and strategic) but i also do want to get them at some point. 70 is higher than the big endgame fights so it’s not like i can just get them when they’re no longer overleveled….

#i have already got a team of 6 tho #no repeats (other than getting a second snorunt after evolving froslass so i can also get a glalie)#as well as those i’ve also got cloyster and snover and i went and found 30 diglett to get alolan vulpix and sandshrew #the latter two are gonna take a while to evolve because i need ice stones but that kinda offsets getting cloyster and froslass this early #which feels very wrong lmao but the relevant stones were just in the northern part of the wild area #sure you’re not meant to go there this early but you CAN and it’s not hard to avoid wild pokemon #the main issue is that i don’t have a bike yet and walking everywhere SUCKS #oh well. no new ice types until route 4 (eevee; need another ice stone to actually be allowed to use it) then the fossils on route 6 #for which i actually have to find the relevant fossils #basically all the ice types are on routes 8-10 and otherwise only show up in snow/snowstorms in the wild area #other than a few water types like shellder and lapras #so in planning this i was basically like…..well if there’s no snow then i get no pokemon!#but i also didn’t realise how easy it would be to get cloyster (can’t use shellder; water only) and the alolans #once again i’m rambling instead of playing. i just spent ages planning this and have things to say tho lmao #personal #swsh
