I think there ought to be some sort of international fund from which we can get paid every time someone tells your father that you being unmarried and unwilling to marry is a sin so he needs to force you to do it. because quite frankly I could retire off that money

#I try to be understanding of general shock and confusion bc for many people in our community I am the only woman they know of #who is not married and has no interest in marrying (a man)#in my family I am the first and only woman to be in this position as far as we know #perhaps there is some distant ancestor who was in my position but who knows #but a handful of people reach the 'giving advice and saying it is a sin blah blah blah' territory #what does my baba have to do with it anyway.
