- Ideally, Shalnark usually likes to go grocery shopping very early in the morning when it’s not crowded, but who wants to get up at 6 am just to get a few items? Whenever he doesn’t get the chance to go grocery shopping right when the doors of the place has opened, Shalnark will probably just go at night. He still does prefer to go in early, though. 

- With that being said, one day you guys decided to go late at night instead of Shalnark’s usual morning runs. Was he complaining about how it would’ve been less crowded if you’d gone in super early? Maybe a little. But it wasn’t even that packed inside so who cares?

- So the first thing Shalnark’s going to do is joke about you getting inside the cart. If you actually agree to do it, then he’s going to have a very fun time pushing you around everywhere! Randomly when you guys are walking, he’ll just run superrr fast with you in it just to see your reaction. 

- If you object to getting in the cart then thats totally fine. More space for you guys to fill it with snacks anyways!! This also means that the whole time he gets to hold your hand when walking through the aisles, too.

- Shalnark usually has a list of things prepared whenever he goes to the grocery store (that he usually wants to stick by). He prioritizes getting the stuff off his list first. But once he’s checked everything off, THATS when he’ll start getting all the random stuff.

- You guys just go back and forth getting whatever's off the shelf that catches your eye. 

“Oh my god, Shal, look at this new ice cream flavor we gotta try!!”

“You better put it in the cart, _____!”

- Honestly you guys get so distracted from actually paying that you just wander around the whole store filling your cart with whatever looks good. It’s like you guys totally forgot that you actually had to PAY for all this stuff.

- Since it’s pretty late and there is practically no one in the store, you guys are basically acting like fools are that point. Next thing you know, you’re grabbing a random cart off the sides so that the two of you can have a shopping cart race!! You guys also forget about the fact that the store is literally closing in 20 minutes. 

- You and Shalnark always stop whenever you see those camera screens, too. You and him will literally do a bunch of those dumb poses and expressions, all while frantically waving at the camera. At this point, all the workers are just cursing under their breath at you guys out since it’s just so late and they want to go home😭

- FINALLY THOUGH, it’s time to pay for all the stuff you got. You guys didn’t even realize that you got SO much stuff. Even though Shalnark does usually pay for some stuff, he does try and stick a bunch of the smaller items in his pockets (he also suggests that you should do the same). The cashier is low-key giving you the side glare for being the reason they couldn’t close earlier, but honestly it’s kind of obvious that Shal doesn’t really care..

- As much as you guys can’t wait to eat all the snacks you got in the car, Shal insists on eating everything when you get home. That way, you guys can just relax, watch your favorite shows, and snack on all the stuff you got while being in the presence of each other (how perfect does that sound?)!! Of course, you can’t help but sneak in some candy in your mouth while he’s driving home..
