{ So Now This Exists. I wanted to Do something different With Blueberry's Version Of the Nutcracker to more fit his Universe and stuff. He still has the basic Problems and stuff but It's definitely not your usual Nutcracker Shenanigans. For starters His Normal Form can't Crack Nuts- It's more for Playing with like as a Doll or toy Robot. His battle form However Let's him Do an Nutcrackers Original Purpose- Cracking those hard to crack Nuts. But instead placing the nut in his Jaws you place it in his Chest, and Push Down the wings Armor to Crack it. (like a Modern-day Nutcrackers where you lift a lever on its back up and Down to crack nuts.) I based His Battle form off of a SD Gundam because I thought it would be kinda Cool~ }

SD Gundam G-Generations Cross Rays Impromptu... Review

SD Gundam in the west, with an actual western release. While Super Robot Wars has the trouble of juggling 17 IPs, (God help the Macross fans) making it an import only situation, all Bandai has to do is drop many of the iconic OPs they don’t really own and they can publish SD Gundam wherever.

There is no TWO-MIX. PC releases can add in any mp3s they own legally, but if you got it for switch... hey, at least it’s portable.

This game is all about jacking up your favorite pilots with stats to get big numbers over actual tactical gameplay - you want that, you have to use willpower and purposefully gimp your squad - and the difficulty levels can be very opaque. Pair this with mobile suit (but not pilot) permadeath, only having an ‘account’ save slot, no buying duplicate pilots, and the grind to get to that min-max; and you’re stuck choosing between the two playstyles. If you’re a completionist, and want to unlock all the suits... you’re going to be leveling up suits without even using them just to unlock what’s next. I’ve often downgraded suits just because I skipped a step in their evolution process, just to complete the encyclopedia.

Dispatches, real-world-timed missions where you send dudes out and they come back later with EXP and Credits. I love and hate these, because I’ve skipped using so many suits I really didn’t want to... but I’ve also skipped over a lot of content. Yes, they reduce the grind... but is it worth it? You still have to wait, often locking yourself out of using the party you wanted to use.

A lot of the game mechanics leave a lot to be desired, even more than modern Super Robot Wars. So, the game has to hold up by how appealing the animations are, and how well the Gundam coat of paint looks on this thing.

One person I know refused to pick up this game because they like UC more than the AUs, and honestly, they made the right choice. Your favorite of the 4 series/universes included will determine how much you like this game because... some of them get shafted.

Gundam Wing: Is a mixed bag. If you have the extra hanger from the pre-order, Zech’s blue personal transport is one of the best battleships. However... a lot of the units are just Leos. As much as I love them, they’re the T3 basic units with no frills, and in a game about frills, that’s fairly weak. Instead, you get every variation of the main gundams. Movie, Manga, Anime starters, Anime upgraded. That’s a lot of gundams… even though some of the forms (like sandrock) only have two attacks. Tallgeese 2, however, has my favorite animations here.

Gundam SEED: … I personally don’t enjoy SEED, but it does have a lot of suits, and a lot of missions. I’d assume SEED fans would like what they get, but I can’t be objective on this one. It wasn’t shafted though, so it gets 2nd place. Though, phase shift armor - while an anti-physical boon, drains energy very quickly - making using units that have it somewhat painful. Furthermore, most of the units with funnels come from this universe - so if you like using pilots with high Awaken/Basically Newtypes - get used to it.

Gundam IBO: Straight up neutered. Sure, all its units have nanolaminate armor, which lowers beam damage without costing anything (making IBO units early game beefcakes) but most of their units have a 1-2 range melee attack and a 2-4 range ranged attack. As a result, they all feel same-y, similarly to the Leo. But the Barbie on the Shrimp, the Barbatos and the Isiribi, the mainline Gundam and Battleship... are straight up weak in comparison to the other series. Isiribi has a unique smokescreen and ramming attack... but piss poor stats, basic movement, and only one hanger. Barbatos, even with the Rex last season upgrade... falls short of all the other mainline gundams. Full City and Ryusei go are even worse. Oh, and despite the low amount of missions they skipped an entire arc, and an entire pilot. Fun. Furthermore, many of the suits use the AV system, ones with unique variants that only work with one pilot- so lose a lot of their benefit if piloted by pilots from other universes, even though this is a huge part of having a sandbox strategy game. One mobile suit uses a system that you don’t even have access to. That’s fun. The Gekko side-story has the high teir mobile suits, including … a unit with only a 1-ranged melee attack... and a main gundam with a 1 ranged melee attack and a 2-4 ranged ranged attack.....

Gundam 00: Looks like it got the most polish. Got me invested in the designs of the earlier generation gundams, without those gundams just being better than those from the main series. Is liberal in its use of trans-am, as well as the Gundam Meister ability - any pilot who has it starts with high morale when piloting any of the many gundams. Because it’s 00, you have that early game grunt variation, which is rad. The Jinx’s are good. The gundams are varied. The pilots are good... it’s good.

Basically, what I’m saying is, the Wing and IBO portions of the game might let you down if that’s what you’re going for.

How did you come up with trashland?

i have half a mind to believe you are the regular anon but trashland is my favourite thing so here is the really dumb explanation that made it a thing

so i started off drawing humanised versions of robot characters from SD Gundam Force (original zapper, original grappler). humans are so much easier to draw than robots so i ended up drawing them a lot and giving them backstories and real names and stuff

a few months later, i was listening to the album Trash by Alice Cooper like... non stop... and i thought every single song it fit zapper and grappler. they’re mostly about wanting to bone someone you have a love/hate relationship with SO THERE YOU GO. anyway i like drew comic type thing illustrating every song on this album and at the time they were the best things i ever drew. from this i got the idea to like, expand the universe i’d made for zapper and grappler (and the few other characters from SDGF i’d made humanisations for)

then i started watching Tenkai Knights, another kids show about robots and made humanisations for characters from that too and added them into this weird AU (original slyger, original granox). so by this point is was becoming my own thing rather than “two AUs mashed together”.

then came the idea to make it into a comic completely free from any reference to the original robot shows. i came up with the name “trash dimension” for it since like the idea to make it into its own thing came from the Trash album lol. but i kept calling it trashland, like a word for its universe in general. AND IT STUCK. oh and since every single one of the original robot characters were male i was like hmmm and made some of my versions female because yknow. (original vilius, original dom, original sazabi, original madnug)

and i still fucken refer to those last 4 by their original names because CHANGE IS HARD
