Look at me, I’m as helpless as a kitten up a tree. And I feel like I’m clinging to a cloud, I can’t understand. I get misty just holding your hand.

Misty by Lesley Gore blares through my headphones as I read the twenty second chapter of my favourite book Little Women. Being a hopeless romantic means rereading the same fifteen romance books over and over again, obsessing over said books, and finally, daydreaming about feeling that kind of love. Everyone always says that certain kinds of love only exist in movies and books but I dont believe them. How can someone write about experiencing such amazing love without feeling such amazing love?

“Morning Sunshine, lets get going. We are going to be late.” Chaewon chirps as she bursts through my bedroom door, “Gosh Y/N, how many times have you read that old book.”

I roll my eyes as I take out my headphones and place the old tatty book in my bag, “Don’t knock it till you try is Chae. You never know, you might like romance books.”

“What? And be like you? Listening to lovey dovey music while reading your silly little romance books all day.” She laughs, standing up from my bed bumping shoulders with me, “I could never spend my days swooning over men who dont even exist.”

“Hey, Laurie and Amys’ love story is perfect. You cant deny it.” I replied as we make our way downstairs.

“Actually I can. I never read the book. Bye, Mom!” Chaewon waves a goodbye to my Mom as she opens the front door. Chaewon started calling my Mom “Mom” only one year into our friendship after she had a nightmare during a sleepover and my Mom comforted her. Ever since that night Chaewon has had two Moms.

“Bye, Mom! See you tonight.”

7:47AM

“Y’know, if you spent more time studying and less time listening to Mac DeMarco you wouldnt have a 62% in Japanese.” Chaewon exclaimed wildly as we exit the convenience store.

“Y’know, I dont think I’m going to take academic advice from someone with an average grade of 54%.” I laugh, cracking the lid of my iced coffee bottle.

“Hey, I am not taking any kind of sass from a person who reads for fun.” Chaewon grumbles at me.

“Maybe you should pick up a book. Try expanding your pea sized brain.”

We both laugh as we make our way into the school gate.

8:01AM

“Morning Eunseok.” I smile at my seat mate.

“Hey Y/N. How are you.” He questions.

“Good,” I say with a small smile while turning to get my books and pencil case out of my bag, “Did you have practice this morning?”

“Oh, yeah,” He replies, looking down at the rumpled up practice bag that is covered in dirt, “Lots of running this morning.”

I laugh quietly and turn back to my books but not before he could ask, “Is Chaewon here today?”

“Yeah,” I reply pointing a few rows ahead of us, “Why?”

“Oh, no reason.” He quickly and quietly covers the creeping blush on his cheeks.

8:12AM

The classes quiet and comfortable atmosphere is abruptly disrupted by a group of teenage boys barging in hollering and whooping like a group of baboons. They are so not like the boys I read about.

“The gang is back together!” Sohee - the self-proclaimed “Ladies Man” - exclaims while sitting down in his seat.

“I am so happy you're back Anton.” A voice I recognise as Shotaro hollered from the back of the group.

Anton? I wonder who that is. I turn to look at Chaewon to find she is already looking at me. She gives me a confused look and I simply shrug my shoulders.

“Yeah guys, its pretty cool.” A small unrecognizable voice mumbles. 

The group of boys start to disperse out to there seats as the first bell rings, leaving a lone boy standing in the middle of the class, nervously grabbing his backpack straps.

ahem, back to normal- first off, i was wondering if you had any plans to implement angst regarding timmy finding out that bravo thinks of him as like, the second-best version of him? because while 'if he cant have the sun, he'll learn to love its shadow' could be quite sweet its also heeeeelllllllla toxic on bravos part. for timmy to find out that bravo thinks he's jimmy's lesser version and that he's only helping him/being friends with him/having a relationship with him because bravo couldn't have jimmy and is settling would be an Absolute punch to the gut... i mean timmy already has enough misery and trauma looming over him about to strike (please let my boy be okay in the end <3 i am... very worried. if jimmy is my son then timmy is my favorite traumatized nephew whomst i will shower with gifts and candy) but y'know,, just somethin to think about :)

Also! you already have so many tasty parallels in htp (seriously, i am unhinged, as to say i am No Longer Connected To The Door Frame), but at the point where jimmy and tango were being restrained and jimmy mentioned almost choking on blood and then that he should've killed himself to spawn back at the ranch, i was totally thinking you'd parallel how tango escaped hels tek with jimmy choking on the blood,,,,,, then again, maybe the parallel went unfilled because jim's in a much more hopeful situation than tango was- a bunch of lethal and very pissed friends to defend him, nice home, etc.. yeah. And one more thing: kudos and applause and hip hip hoorays that you didn't choose to implement misunderstandings and have Jimmy even once doubt Tango or stop fighting for him. I for one have had quite enough of misunderstandings just for the sake of drama, and although tango's not the best at communicating, he's got unresolved trauma, and jimmy, thank the stars, does not jump to conclusions and instead trusts Tango and waits until more information is revealed. thank you so, so much for that. we love healthy relationships here <3 (*looks at bravo and timmy*)

So years ago when it was first starting up i read hnd and then kinda dropped it at some point but! I returned seeing it still updated!

My goal was to finish my reread before chapter 100 which i did last week and omg i completely fell in love w it once again!

I am like so particular about characterization of skeletons but as the fic went on I just loved seeing how u explore every single one of them more and more and just give them more quirks! And how eventually we start seeing their dynamics outside of mc! Its just so great! And i could honestly go off on a rant but this is already long ask ahaha

Anyway im edgy skeleton truther, end of chapter 99 left me in shambles and i cant wait for more!

I'm really happy that you like the skeletons interactions! In future I might write some chapters just with the boys hanging out with one enough to deepen that too. I think it would be fun to explore characters who don't usually interact as often or even build better bonds. Berry and Blue have such a fun dynamic but I also love Blue and Red hanging out. If you wanted I wouldn't mind reading a rant about skeleton interactions and quirks XD

Chapter 99 is some of my best work. I've already had to re-read it a few times, something I've only done with a few chapters and I am in love. I made myself simp over the edgy boi. I really want chapter 100 to have more of those moments but there's a lot going on so it might have to be saved. Expect more of the sipping seen in chapter 99 to happen over the next stage of HND though because hot damn.

So, Sakamoto days (I believe they'll announce an anime for it one day) is about a former killer who has decided to found a family and consequently he gave up on his past as an assassin (more because his wife told him to). However today he's victim of conspiracy and some people want him dead for what he used to be and the symbol he represents. It's about strong family bonds, regardless the blood (to me all the mains are a big family dhdjsj). It's also very fun to read, and only 95 chapters to go to catch up djsjsks

Ousama ranking is one of the cutest anime i've ever watched. Basically it's about how a little prince, named Bojji, born deaf and considered weak and not suitable to become the next king by his people, will become stronger and even stronger.

And One Piece... i can talk hours and hours about that one! It's my favourite! (That rec is definitely not objective) The story blew my mind several times. You probably already heard about it, and it has a lots of episodes/chapters too, but as you rewatched bleach, watched detective conan, i feel like you will not be afraid by 1000+ chapters/episodes djsjsks

“oh my god, look at chenle! his cheeks are like tomatoes!” renjun yelled, and all of the members burst out laughing, while chenle just groaned.

“okay okay, next question! what is my bunny’s name? ohh, you all better get this right!” sooyoung said, looking at all the members. she would feel so betrayed if none of them got it right.

“times up, let’s see who truly loves me!” sooyoung said, and stood up and walked over to jisung again.

“hmm, that’s close! you forgot the “y”, i’ll give you 1/2 a point!” jisung cheered, while a few of the members groaned, seeing that they got it wrong.

“haechan! my bunny’s name is not bunny, i’m more creative than that! i cant believe you didnt know it...” sooyoung frowned, and quickly walked away from haechan, who was screaming that he was sorry.

“ohhhh jaemin’s interested in me! he got it right, he’s the only one here that truly love me!” sooyoung teased, and gave jaemin a hug around his shoulders, glaring at the rest of them. jaemin smirked and patted sooyoung’s arm, before sooyoung made her way to the last two boys.

“are you guys just not interested in me? only jaemin got it right!” sooyoung whined, while the members screamed in protest, and jaemin went, “ah ha!”.

“i got it right! what are you talking about?” jisung complained.

“you only got half credit, that doesn’t count!” sooyoung complained back, going back to her seat.

“i was about to say that this question would be an easy one, but seeing that my members couldn’t get the easiest question about me correct, i don’t know. what’s my favorite color?” sooyoung asked the question, and turned to haechan, shaking him left to right.

“haechannnn, i cant believe you didn’t know my bunny’s name! i talk about her all the time!”

“you never say her name!” haechan yelled, leaning away from sooyoung’s hands.

“yes i do!” sooyoung yelled, crossing her arms and pouting, haechan started giggling and patted her head, mumbling a quiet sorry.

“nooooo, that’s not fair! i only gave you guys accessory’s!” sooyoung whined, for what seem the 100th time today, but it was too late. renjun was already putting the cat ears onto sooyoung’s head.

“who should we pick?” jisung asked, looking around her members.

“sooyoung likes jaemin the most, i think.” haechan teased, and sooyoung’s ears already started moving.

“they even moved at jaemin’s name! oh my gosh, sooyoung really likes jaemin!” jeno teased, laughing at the cat ears moving.

“no! that’s not it, i’m just embarrassed because this is happening!” sooyoung yelled.

“it’s okay soo, i’m extremely sexy i understand.” jaemin teased, and sooyoung groaned.

“sooyoung’s ears can’t be moving more than 30 secs in a minute, and the loser has to do aegyo!” renjun stated, and jaemin walked up to sooyoung, and stood in front of him.

jaemin stepped closer towards the girl, and gently put his hands on her shoulders, and looked intensely at her.

“yes, jaemin.”

“you’re so pretty, look at you!” jaemin cooed, pinching her cheeks, and sooyoung quickly slapped his hand down.

“no! you cant do that!” renjun screamed, and haechan was laughing hysterically in the background.

she could feel her ears start to twitch, and she screamed, while the members started laughing and screaming.

“he didn’t even do anything!” chenle yelled, laughing at the cat ears that were still moving, while sooyoung covered her face in her hands and groaned.

she could feel jaemin’s hands prying her hands down, and before she knew it, she was wrapped into jaemin’s arms, and her ears were definitely twitching now.

“and done! sooyoung failed!” jeno clapped his hands, and sooyoung tried to get out of jaemin’s arms, but he would not let go.

“jaemin, jaemin, JAEMIN LET ME GO!” sooyoung laughed, squirming in the boys arms and smiled when he finally let her go, patting her head before returning to his seat.

“ohhhhh sooyoung has to do aegyo, i’m excited to see this.” renjun laughed, while sooyoung just mumbled for him to shut up, which made him laugh even harder.

“3,2,1, go!” chenle yelled, and sooyoung sighed deeply, before pulling the biggest pout she was capable of.

“sooyoung wants hugs and kisses, please hug me!” sooyoung whined, in a disgustingly high voice, and she threw her arms around herself, swaying around.

“awhhhh cute!” jaemin screamed, clapping his hands.

“oh sooyoung your so ugly, stop it!” haechan screamed, and sooyoung turned around and held her fist up at him.

“haechan, i swear to god!” sooyoung cried, before throwing her self down on the floor in embarrassment. this was the most embarrassing birthday she has ever had.

“we finished today with a very embarrassed sooyoung, as you can see. jaemin wins, with two points, and jisung comes second with 1.5 points, and the rest of us have one point, so jaemin, please say some words!” jisung said, returning as an mc while sooyoung sits back into her chair, still clearly embarrassed.

“thank you, thank you, i’m glad to see i know our lovely sooyoung the best, i’m clearly her favorite, as you just saw. yes, sooyoung, i love you!” jaemin smiled, sending a big heart her way, while she just looked back at him, with an emotionless expression.

“i hate you.” sooyoung mumbled, and the rest of the members laughed, this was the most traumatizing birthday sooyoung has ever had, she thought.

Summary: Spencer gets made fun of when you're introducing him to your friends, oh well your so thought friends.

A/N: okay so this one had a weird inspiration and it was also in the drafts for a couple weeks. So hope you enjoy this one!

You were just sitting at your desk getting all the paperwork done that you got from you last case, hopefully it was gonna be it and you were just gonna have the weekend off, if anything the night off, but one could dream.

As you were finishing off you noticed everyone was gone besides you and Spencer. He was almost always there since he either did more than paperwork. You always admired him, he was smart and didn't let people change him. You liked how he was himself, in a way it made your nerdiness come out too.

“Got any plans for the weekend spence?” you asked as he shrugged.

“Uh, kinda i guess, it's nothing special really.” he said as you knew he was lying. You could see he was holding a grin, whatever he was doing was getting him very excited.

“Come on Reid, it sounds exciting, i can hear it from your hidden grin.” you said as he looked up at you and smiled.

“Uh okay fine, im going to watch this french film, its not that far from here, and i was gonna go with prentiss, but she had other plans, i was uh hoping, you wanted to come with me?” he asked as you nodded.

“Yeah why not, do you think I could invite some of my friends if you'd like, they're french majors, so they could learn a few.” you giggled as he nodded.

“Sounds good,” he said as he smiled.

He didn't really do well making new friends, maybe your friends were different. Hence them being french majors, hopefully they were as nerdy as you and him were.

After you were both done you walked to the metro and headed to where they were showing the film. You had told your friends that you would meet there and that here was someone you wanted them to meet someone.

 You thought, “Come one who wouldn't like spencer, whats not to like about him.” and yeah it might sound like you like him, which you do, but you knew he wouldn’t like you like that. He had suffered a lot from Mavae you didn't want to look desperate.

You’ve liked him fro a while, but your feelings would come and go. It depended on what he did that made your heart flutter. When he talked to you about Mavae, you were happy for him, your feelings for him didn't struck, so you weren't jealous, you were genuinely happy for him.

As you saw your friends Spencer was already getting nervous.

“Are you sure they’re gonna like me?” he said as he stopped and you just smiled.

“Spencer, they’re gonna like you, come on, if they don't it’s their loss.” you said as you tugged at his arm and met your friends.

“Hey guys, this is spencer, my-” you said as your friend jess cut you off.

“Woah he looks more like my grandpa with that sweater vest.” she said as you frowned.

“Hey, watch it.” you said as they continued.

“When you said we were gonna meet your friend I thought you were talking about the other dude, you know not scrawny or nerdy.” Alice said.

You honestly couldnt believe them, you were shocked, poor spencer just stood there behind you. You turned around at him and just felt sorry.

“I am so sorry spencer, look you go inside get us a spot while i talk to them okay?” you said as he nodded and you gave him some money to pay.

“I cant believe you guys, i thought you were my friends. Clearly you guys are very ignorant and dont care about anyone but yourslevves. I've been there for all of you, but clearly that wasn't important to you. If you got a chance to meet him you would've befriended the most sweetest, smartest friend. He’s very cute too, not just from his appearance, but his personallity too, but i guess, appearences only matter to you guys. Im done with you guys, im sorry. I want you guys out of my house, by the end of the week.” you said as you turned around and they were left with shock and no place to sleep.

Spencer had herd all of it, he smiled at what you said, he was glad you were his friend. As you came back you noticed where he was standing and you started to blush.

“Hey Spence, they're gone now, so we can enjoy our movie, or well film, both i guess, i don't know.” you said as you walked to your seats getting flustered. You knew he herd that so you just had to say something.

“You herd all of that didn't you?” you said as he smiled.

“I did, and i think you’re cute too,” he said as you blushed.

“Ah, your herd that too, gosh im sorry, i was just syaing what i was feeling, its true i feel that way. You dont have to say anything i just, i uh i like you.” you said as he placed his hand over your shoulder.

“I like you too y/n. I've liked you for a while, bringing you here was a chance to tell you.” he said as you smiled and looked at him in awe.

“Well im glad i said yes.” you said as he grabbed your chin and looked you in the eyes.

“Can i uhm can i kiss you?” he asked as he was getting nervous and you nodded.

The both of you had dreamed of this and it was happening. It was so passionate, it was just waiting to happen, it felt like you were floating, you never thought you would be kissing him. The movie then started playing and your kiss broke. You smiled at him and gave him one last peck as you two got comfortable and watched the movie.

“Do you uh, want me to translate it for you?” he said as you nodded forgetting this was in french and you knew you would barely understand anything they are saying.

You were happy the whole night filled with Spencer talking to you near your ear and spending time spilling facts with one another and ending the night cuddling. You were happy that you said yes to him hanging out you were even more happy kicking out your friends who weren't really your friends, you know at least you had your house back.

Hello my dear anon! Oh my gosh thank you so much for these kind words, I can't tell you how thrilled this message makes me!

One of the arguments that I tend to have when people come into my inbox and say that OCs are "cringe" or whatever is that, like, every character was once an OC, you know? Kylo was someone's OC, Luke and Leia were someone's OC, even Harry Potter and Frodo and WonderWoman and whoever else were all someone's original character once upon a time.

And people love them and dedicate their energy to obsessing over them and consuming all the content about them, but then turn right around and say x OC writers are cringe. Why? Just because their work wasn't published or optioned? It doesn't make sense to me.

When I write my screenplays, all I do all day long is write OCs lol. When I edit the screenplays I get sent, I'm reading someone else's OCs. When you go to the movies or turn on your TV you're watching OCs. And some of them are pretty awfully written, so the argument of "well it got sold and turned into a franchise so that means it's better".

I'm not here to make any sort of "x reader" vs "x oc" debate or anything, but I truly believe that one shouldn't be demonized over the other. I think neither of them should, as a matter of fact. But do I think x OC is more fun? more liberating creatively? more freeing? Yeah, absolutely. Which is why I've decided to start introducing OCs little by little into the writing.

At the end of the day, they're all just fictional characters lol. We relate to them because they're written by people like us, and I think that we all need to start being a little more open minded about the way we interact with fanfic.

This was probably wrong on so many levels, but Joey was already far from stopping himself. After painting their new home for a few hours now, it was time for a bit of entertainment. His hand scooped up a bit of the paint, and without even a warning, he flicked it in Mina's direction, with every intention of getting it on her. They already had paint stains on their clothes, so... a few more wouldn't hurt.

                                 this was the happiest day of her life.  

            but then again, she said that a lot whenever it came to joey -- there were so many days, so many situations where he made her happier than she ever thought was possible. however, she was indeed sure this was going to make it into her top five -- the day they started their new life together, getting a place of their own. it was clear on her features just how excited she was about everything; not only moving here with him, but also everything that came before that. the painting, the decorating, buying furniture... all the things that would make this house their home.

           humming to herself, she was giving the wall its finishing touches when joey decided it was time for a break ( without telling her ). there was no song playing but she couldn’t help herself, dancing a little as she bent down to get some more paint -- joey’s evil plan still completely a mystery to her. “ cheer up baby, cheer up baby -- ” mina hummed, oblivious to the fate that waited for her. the paint that was flicked in her direction did indeed reach its destination. most of it ended up in her hair and she wouldn’t even have felt it had it not gotten in her cheeks too. “ !! ”

         fingers touch the fresh paint lightly, the colour giving away that it was the paint he was using, not her. with her ammo hidden in her back, she turned to face at him with a frown. “ joey!! i thought you were better than this, catching me when i was distracted. how could you?! ” she had always had a talent for the drama, an offended gasp as one hand was placed over her chest. of course she didn’t really mind getting a little more dirty than she already was. 

           but in a sudden movement, she shows the brush she had been hiding on her back, a determined look on her face and a grin on her lips now. “ ha, caught you. hands up where i can see them or i’ll shoot!! ” well, she’d shoot anyway, even if he did or not -- and of course joey knew that. his hands were up but not for long before he tried throwing more paint at her -- but mina was faster. using the brush to fling the paint at him, she aimed right for his chest. “ you can never beat me, mister! i’m the fastest gun alive in this godforsaken town ” a terrible and completely inaccurate accent on her voice, she turned around to get more paint and it was her end.

           tackled to the ground, she still didn’t leave her character, making dramatic dying sounds as joey laid on top of her, tongue sticking out and both eyes closed as she opened her arms. and it was her end. well, sort of. opening one eye to glance at him, it was hard to contain the smile that threatened to show. hands searched for any paint that was closed before both hands were pressed against his cheek, squishing them lightly as she let out a laugh that filled the empty room. “ and you thought you saw the end of me! ” hands moved to his hair, getting paint on any place that she could get to, almost turning him completely blue. hey, it wasn’t her fault, he started it...
