"The presenters for the next Splatoon game should be this, the presenters for the next Splatoon game should that" I think the presenters for the next Splatoon game should textually acknowledge the game-mechanical conceit of gender as a fashion statement and sometimes be an idol group and sometimes be a boy band, and the closest anyone ever gets to remarking on it in character is a running gag where one of the group members will show up as the wrong gender and catch shit for being out of theme.

#legit tho i think they either need to go back to 2 or make it so of 4 of them you only see 2 per splatcast #and its rotated per day of the week like the maps always being in pairs #splatfests can also be 2 teams where the members team up into 2s depending on their opinions #and special ones can be 4 teams of necessary #and let us do a quadra battle or something #but yes absolutely pls push into the joke we have about Splatoon having no gender at all #they literally call it style in game and people change their looks on a whim #they dont even reproduce with anyone in particular #babies just appear in the splat battle ink #oh my god paperjam as an inkling baby i need to learn to draw him lmao
