Well, three quarters of the way through EverymanHYBRID I've decided to call it quits. I will say that I definitely enjoyed it a lot more than TribeTwelve and it's Good with little to criticize. I like the story but I'm finding it easier to digest by going through the wiki (I don't usually do this with most things but this one is kind of inherently more detailed than most). I think the fact that it is So Much an ARG kind of works against it as someone getting into it after it's finished. Because I didn't realize how much it differed from things like Marble Hornets I started by just watching the videos from the main channel which made me miss basically half the plot. On the plus side, there are people who are into the series enough that they've compiled basically everything you need to get a good picture of it into long ass videos so i switched to those but i dunno... This is one of the rare times that I think it would've been ideal for my enjoyment if I'd gotten into it while it was coming out so all of this could be like discovered and connected in real time or through my own efforts. It takes a lot out of the experience to read decade old blog posts and see all the forum discussion that's now entirely dead.
In short I guess I'd say it's a good enough story, the editing and dedication to the craft are clearly there in spades, and the acting is quite good (especially Evan imho) but it's a bit too complicated for my taste- Especially with the number of characters there are. I think I'll read through the wiki in depth to get at least an idea of what I'll miss by not watching the rest, at the very least, because I am still interested in the overall plot
