Fandoms: I’ve been writing fanfiction since age 11 but the fandoms I’ve been most heavily involved in were Soul Eater, Hetalia, Inuyasha, Marvel, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and Star Wars. You can still read my middle school weebery on ffn but I recommend you Don’t. (except Synergy, I’m still kind of proud of Synergy)

Where You Post: choosing between AO3 and ffn depends on the audience each fic is for. AO3 is the home base of a lot of current fandom, but I’ve always found it sorely lacking in female-centric stories. say what you want about ffn, but they write about female characters almost as often as male on there. that is not the case at ALL for AO3.

Favorite Story of Yours? Day of the Black Snow has always been my baby, though maybe more for what it means to me than because I think it’s my best work. I’ve been writing it at a snail’s pace since I was 17. it helped me through some difficult times and it’s pretty much always on my mind.

Fic you were (most) nervous to post? uhhh probably Kairkiyc, because it was based on a preexisting AMAZING work. It also has some very unhealthy, dark themes, even if it’s not as outright mean-spirited and violent as Day of the Black Snow.

Exodus (an ffn-only work) was also one i got a few death and rape threats for, because it was critical of Air Nomad culture. I always disliked that they were the only ones with absolutely no nonbenders, and I didn’t buy Word of God about it being “because they’re more spiritual so they’re all born benders.” Spirituality is not a genetic trait? Why the fuck can’t the guru, who has lived and breathed their culture his entire life, be an Air Nomad?? (and why is the only southeast asian character so othered and caricatured????) but yeah the aang stans took it the wrong way, and in the name of defending the airbenders’ culture of peace and harmony, promised to rape me to death lmao. this was 2 years pre-renaissance, as i was very active on ATLA tumblr from 2016-2018, and things could get pretty nasty. ironically i kind of miss that everyone was much less misogynistic towards the actual characters, particularly katara, but it’s nice that no one’s descending to the level of threatening people they disagree with anymore.

How do you choose your titles? my naming sense is pretty much all over the place. I usually wait until I’ve plotted out and written a chunk of it first, and then think about choosing a serviceable name. i try not to use song lyrics after my stint writing stucky fanfiction lol

Do you outline? sometimes! though my outlines are usually bare bones because i continue to get ideas as i write, and then they become bloated messes as i cram in more details. my notes app on my phone is a total lost cause. i’m more likely to keep working on a fic if i outline tho. pantsing is not particularly successful at keeping me on-task and motivated.

In Progress: AO3 says 11, but a few of those (particularly my MCU stuff) probably won’t be continued
