warning all my non-jewish friends that when i finally get that book about how jewish values, culture and folklore shaped the comic book super hero i am not going to stop talking about it for a long time
#im a nerd who found their niche#you should hear me go on about arnie roth and how dang important he was to queer rep in comics#him and his bf michael being the first canon gay couple in marvel comics#and how his intro during the aids crisis along w/ being steve aka captain america's childhood bestfriend#and steve being very vocally supportive of arnie's sexuality and his relationship w/michael was just so fucking important#like loving queer rep and vocal support for mlm at a time when they were blamed for a disease they were left to die from in horrifying#numbers#it just#fuck i love him so much#and i hate hate hate hate how the mcu refuse to acknowledge all they took w/him to make the mcu bucky we love#it's why im so insistent that mcu bucky is gay and jewish like arnie#so much is lost if he isn't#don't even get me started on how him potentially being into women erases the whole point of the double dates#oh fuck im like really rambling now lollllll#jumblr#personcole
