No, here’s the thing.

I have special memories associated with Val, even before he became special to me.

*wink wink nudge nudge*

When I was younger, my dad worked as a top level research scientist for a major pharmaceutical company.

And though he was (and is) a fantastic dad, there were times he worked long hours in the lab.

So, my wonderful mom, a SaHM, after homework time, she would make dinner, and we would sit on the couch, watching movies, while eating.

And when we finished, we would squeeze together like sardines in one corner of the couch—even though we had the whole thing to ourselves, watching movies until my dad came home.

Some of the first movies I remember watching like that were all the old Batman movies—from Keaton to Clooney—and the 1997 classic, “The Saint”.

I cannot clearly remember what young me thought of Val, but if I am not mistaken, “Batman Forever” was my favorite of the old Batman movies, and I thought Simon Templar was so cool with his disguises.

So, thank you, Val, for being a part of some of my favorite childhood memories.
