I’m Trapped in the Fifth War Pt 7 (Rin, Cu Caster, Emiya, Sakura)
Rin packed the essentials.
A term that Cu Caster didn’t seem to agree with, but that was a matter that really wasn’t her concern.
“You packed your life away!” He whined, hauling the suitcase down the stairs and glancing back towards the other one. “What are you expecting by lugging all this to Hakuno’s barriered home, that you’re gonna clothe that half of the city?!”
“Caster! It’s required materials!”
“It’s books and weights and agony!” He thumped the suitcase down on the bottom of the stairs, one eyebrow arching as someone snickered nearby.
“It would seem my ally is incompetent.”
Sakura held her small backpack and shook her head, shaking Emiya’s arm lightly.
“I know he is, but be nice. My sister really likes him.”
She liked Lancer him. Hell, even Berserker had his benefits. Caster?
“I’m going to die old,” he whined.
Yeah, she wasn’t huge on him right now.
Crossing her arms, Rin glanced up to Sakura and Emiya. “Sakura, we aren’t coming back here until the war is over. Is that all you’re taking?”
“Archer offered to bring me things.”
Of course he did. He probably would just skip along passed opposition staking out the house too. Sure, and he would somehow avoid all obstacles and manage to get her whatever she wanted.
“Go pack a bit more!”
“Rin-“
“It’s easier if we don’t give away our location by simply bringing your servant here and back so many times. Even if he can manage once or twice, it’s better to not risk it.”
“Spoken like a woman who packed her life away,” Emiya purred. His arm was around Sakura though, pulling her along to get a few more things.
“Yeah, enough of this.”
Rin blinked as runes began to run up the stairs to her other two bags.
They were gone a second later.
Her first bag soon followed as she turned to look over at Caster.
“Wh-what the hell, Caster!?”
“I’m not lugging those back. I’m also not running.” Caster crossed his arms, staff in hand as he looked down at her. “We have a few other things to get out of the way as well. First of all, if you want me so badly, you better start showing me a little more appreciation than the smacking your leg and whistlin’ for me.”
“I didn’t whistle.”
“Oh, you did. Right when I was trying to pack up your damn blow dryer.”
Ah, right.
“I’ve seen your little group of allies. I ain’t sure how you know me, but if you want this to work, we’re gonna be compromisin’.”
“Fine.”
She crossed her arms, facing him. “What are your demands?”
“Beer.”
“Done.”
She was used to his drinking in Chaldea.
“…And I want to be treated as an equal.”
“Fine.”
The man paused a moment, his eyes drifting over her a moment before he leaned in close.
“Tell me a secret,” he demanded.
“What?”
“A secret. You’re not gonna change and I can’t make ya. So tell me something that you wouldn’t even tell that sweet little girl upstairs. Something deep and powerful.”
“W-why would I do that?!”
“Because I’ll just off myself if you don’t and leave you to suffer.” He smirked darkly. “I don’t have any problem with giving in if it means I don’t have to listen to you demand me to do things. I’m not gonna be some slave to your whims, Rin. So tell me a secret or make the command for death.”
She couldn’t lose him.
She’d given up too much time and energy for him. He had been what she had held onto as a hope when her mana circuits had screamed in agony and her mind had begged her for a break. Her hand went to the back of her other one, where the command spells rested.
“…I…”
A powerful and deep secret.
“Yes?”
Those red eyes were gleaming. His smile was all too knowing.
This was for them.
This was for her to help keep Sakura alive.
“I can’t sleep without you next to me,” she whispered, a deep blushing coming to her cheeks. “So most of the time, I just practice magecraft more.”
She waited, not daring to open her eyes to look up at him.
“Eh… I guess it will do.”
She stared up at him, already feeling her mood be spoiled as the man yawned a bit.
“It’s more of a fact, isn’t it? It ain’t much of a secret if others can figure it out by bein’ around ya a bit.” He snorted a little. “Probably what let your sister know that you’re taken with me.”
“CAS-“
She was in Hakuno’s kitchen, the runes under her feet vanishing.
She stomped her foot on the runes just for the pleasure of stomping on something of his.
What an asshole!
No one knew she felt that deeply about him.
It was a damn good secret!
