Charlie’s arm drapes lazily around your shoulders, your side pressing against his as you’re cuddled on the couch. The muffled sound of Bella moving around upstairs grabs your attention, your eyes shifting from the glowing television screen to the ceiling.
“Is she going somewhere?” You ask, a little hopeful. Guilt follows soon after—you don’t want her out of the house, but it’s been hard… adjusting.
Bella’s only been home for a short time, and while you’ve welcomed her back with open arms, you hadn’t realized how difficult the transition would be. The previous countless nights alone with Charlie became near nonexistent. In no way do you blame Bella–or Charlie–but man, you miss him.
“I’m not sure.” Charlie’s gravelly voice is uncertain.
As soon as Bella’s footsteps stumble down the stairs, Charlie sits up and you lean away from him, peering over to watch Bella’s entrance. She looks a little more done-up than usual, a subtle pink hue cascading across the hills of her cheeks. You fight the smirk that threatens to spread across your lips. You know that look very well.
“Hey, guys.” Bella greets the two of you while entering the living room, rounding the couch to stand in front of you both. She rocks on the heels of her feet and tucks her hands into her back pockets, nervously chewing on her bottom lip. “I’m going to head out. I’ll see you guys later?”
She tries turning away with little explanation, but you can feel the questions beginning to radiate off Charlie. He removes his arm from around you, resting his forearms against his knees, and looks up at Bella.
“Where are you going?” He questions. His tone isn’t interrogating, but rather genuinely curious.
Charlie hasn’t quite read Bella’s demeanor as well as you have. Usually, she’d come clean about what she’s doing—always warning you and Charlie that she’ll be out late, who she’s going with, what she’s doing—but none of that has surfaced at this moment. She’s not exactly hiding anything, but you were a teenage girl once—Bella’s anxious. Maybe even scared.
“Oh, um.” She hesitates, her eyes flicking up to the ceiling, then to you, and back to Charlie. “I’m going out with Edward,” her words come out slowly, before adding, “Cullen—Edward Cullen.”
Your smirk is proving hard to fight as your eyes glance over to Charlie, who’s completely stiff and at a loss for words. You can tell he’s trying to keep an open mind, and not jump to conclusions.
“Edward Cullen…” He repeats to himself quietly, “Dr. Cullen’s son?”
Bella nods.
“That’s great!” You reply cheerfully. The Cullens have been a great addition to Forks. Sure, they’ve only lived here for two years, but you still find them to be a nice bunch. You’ve only interacted with Carlisle Cullen at the hospital, and occasionally with his lovely wife, Esme.
Charlie’s not exactly fond of your response, his eyes darting to you and back to Bella.
“Isn’t he a little old for you?” Charlie says through clenched teeth.
“Oh, my god.” You whisper, gently smacking the side of Charlie’s thigh. “She’s seventeen, Charlie, not twelve.”
Bella silently thanks you through her wide brown eyes, already having a hard time admitting to her dad that she’s seeing a boy. She and her dad are very alike—they keep to themselves, avoid talking about feelings, and are easily embarrassed.
“Yeah, Dad, we’re the same age. Besides, I thought you liked the Cullens?” She finally speaks, having gained confidence from your support.
Charlie fights the urge to roll his eyes. It’s like watching someone argue with a mirror.
“He does.” You butt in, resting a hand on his forearm. “Have a good time, Bella.” You smile, receiving a smaller one from her.
“Thanks.” She slowly walks over to the front door, eyeing Charlie until he’s out of her view.
“What time will you be home?” Charlie calls over his shoulder.
“I might be out late. I’m hanging out with his family.” She yells back, shoving her arms into a thick winter coat in front of the door. “Don’t wait up!”
With that, she’s out of sight, the gentle slam of the door following her exit. Charlie stays frozen in his hunched-over position, eyes blindly watching the TV. He’s deep in thought, clearly coping with the fact that his daughter is officially dating. You can’t help but chuckle, moving your hand from his forearm to his back, absently rubbing wide circles between his shoulder blades.
“Well, it was bound to happen eventually.” You admit, smiling apologetically when his head hangs.
“I guess you’re right.” He groans, rubbing his eyes with his pointer finger and thumb, and pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure this is just the first of many relationships she’ll have.” You reason, unable to contain your laugh when Charlie glares at you. He’s never had to deal with anything like this—having not been present for the majority of Bella’s life. Not that he didn’t want to, but he wasn’t able to.
Charlie’s focused breathing lifts his shoulders steadily, his mind computing. Your brows gently furrow when you notice a smirk pulling at the corner of his lips. Now he’s really lost it, you think to yourself.
“Talk to me,” you urge, trailing your hand from his back to his dark brown hair, gently scratching his scalp, “What are you thinking about—” However, words are lost on you when Charlie moves swiftly, turning and reaching over, repositioning you to lay on the couch. “Charlie, what are you— oh.” His lips are on your exposed neck within seconds, his knees moving skillfully to spread your legs, allowing his hips to rest snugly against yours. Your legs wrap around him, your arms snaking around his back and gripping the cotton fabric of his flannel.
His lips move hastily against your heated flesh, the rough hair of his mustache scratching against your skin in its wake. As your breathing grows heavy, your body squirms against him, adjusting to his sudden affection. His hips are planted on yours, your breath hitching when you feel his bulge pressing against your clothed cunt.
“Don’t want to think about it.” His words mumble against your sensitive skin.
Fine by me. A soft moan releases with your shallow breaths, your legs pulling him closer, pushing his bulge snugly into you. A small noise of recognition catches in his throat when he notices your efforts, a smug smirk plastering itself on your neck. He moves his hips on his own, grinding deeply and creating consistent friction.
The thin fabric of your leggings allows the rough material of his jeans to rub deliciously against your spread cunt. His erection grows firmer with every passing of his hips, his own grunts proving to be hard to mask with heavy breaths.
“Charlie, I need you.” You whine, your hands finding their way into his dark loose waves and tugging his head back to look at you.
His blown pupils signify that he needs you as much as you need him—his deep red lips shining from his assault on your neck. His hands grip the armrest of the couch where your head lays, his hips still absently moving against you.
“It’s torture not being able to touch you.” He confesses with a strained expression, his head dipping to place his lips onto yours.
All the times you’ve attempted to be intimate with Charlie since Bella’s return have proved to be unsuccessful. For starters, you’re uncomfortable with the idea of doing anything with her in the house—which is all the time. Except for now, of course, and you’re entirely prepared to make use of how much—or little—time you have alone with him. It’s clear that Charlie had the same intention as soon as Bella’s truck peeled out of the driveway.
You moan into his touch, your lips moving fluidly with his as your senses are consumed by him. He continues his hip movements, slowly building pressure deep within your core. If he keeps this up, you’re surely going to finish just like this—like a couple of touch-starved college students. Although, you can’t find it in yourself to stop. His entirety surrounds you—his touch, his warmth, his smell, his taste. You’re lost in him, your rational thoughts distant.
The strength of your legs around him tightens, that familiar sensation sending rushes of arousal to your core. For every moan that crawls through your throat, Charlie’s eager lips swallow them. When he feels your desperate grasp in his hair, his tongue swipes along your lower lip, eliciting a groan from you when he floods your tastebuds.
His movements grow faster, the couch groaning in response to the added pressure. The kiss breaks, both of your foreheads resting against each other while you breathe heavily—you because you’re nearing climax, and him because of his efforts, and likely the unbearable feeling of his erection rubbing against his boxers.
With the change of speed, his bulge repeatedly massages against your aching clit, sending shock waves to your tightening core. The desire to want him inside you becomes intolerable, your moans growing more desperate and drawn.
“Want you inside me, Charlie.” You beg, catching his eyes in a pleading gaze. His brows scrunch, eyes taking in your flushed appearance—plump lips slightly parted, brows furrowed, and cheeks pink. The rich browns of his eyes are nearly gone, his dark pupils dominating them, making his eyes appear black with hunger. “Please, Charlie, I’m so close. I can’t—” Can’t finish like this.
You certainly can, but you’re unsure of when you’ll get another chance like this. Your mind is clouded with the mental image of finishing around his cock, gasping his name, and sinking your nails into his bare back—it only heightens your climax more.
“C’mon, baby. Let go.” He whispers, dipping his head into your neck, gently sucking on the spot he knows you love. In addition, one of his hands comes down to the bottom hem of your shirt, the tips of his fingers trailing your stomach as he reaches beneath the fabric. His rugged hands gently grope your breast, his thumb rubbing over your hardened nipple.
The mixed sensation of his lips on your neck, his hand caressing your nipple, and his erection grinding into your clit sends you into overdrive. The ability to form a thought is long gone, your mind clouded by the pure arousal that washes over you.
Your orgasm crashes into you, a surprised moan leaving your throat raw as you writhe against him. Your thighs tighten around him as your hands tug him firmly at the roots of his hair. He continues his multitasking, simultaneously giving attention to three different points of contact.
The rush of your release dampens your underwear, surely soaking through the thin material of your leggings. The walls of your cunt uncontrollably pulse around nothing, the pattern meant to grasp at whatever, or whoever, was inside. Whispered curses push past your lips, your breath heaving as you struggle to catch it. Given the lack of skin-to-skin contact, you hadn’t expected your orgasm to hit so hard.
Once he’s sure you’ve ridden out your climax, his movements slow to a halt—his lips disconnecting from your neck leaving gentle pecks behind, his hand retreating from your shirt while tracing your soft skin, and his hips stilling, but pushing hard against you.
When his eyes finally meet yours, you both giggle breathlessly, the matter of the situation dawning on you both. You silently blame the heat of the moment, both of you blushing from just how ridiculous your actions were.
“Couldn’t have waited till we got upstairs?” You laugh, releasing your grip on his hair and resting your hands on his waist.
“We can do that too.” He grins, leaning back and staring down at you.
“But what if Bella—”
“I’m not done with you yet.” He cuts you off.
Hope you enjoyed it! If you want, as it would be greatly appreciated, let me know if you prefer shorter one-shots or longer ones?

Emmett Cullen With a Competitive Vampire S/O Headcanons

A/N: this doesn’t feel that good but idk how to make it any better. In this, vampires can get wounded like humans but there’s no blood
***
You guys meet at Bella and Edward’s wedding
He sees you and immediately wants to know more about you
So he approaches you at the reception
“Hey there.” You smile politely at Emmett, wondering why he decided to come up to you. “Wanna dance?”
You laugh. “Easy tiger. I don’t even know your name.” You did, of course. Everyone knew the Cullens. But he didn’t have to know that.
Emmett reacts with equal amusement. “Where are my manners? I’m Emmett Cullen. And you are?”
“Y/n L/n.” You answer, holding your hand out for him to shake.
Emmet takes your hand in his, his grip firm but gentle. You can feel the slight callouses on his hands. Based on the bulging muscles you know he has under that suit of his, you conclude that he’s used to heavy lifting.
He repeats your name, liking the way it rolls off his tongue. “A beautiful name for a beautiful vampire.”
“Thank you.” You say, unable to look away from his alluring golden eyes. “Still wanna dance?”
Emmett grins with excitement. “You bet I do.”
So your first meet is pretty tame
But once you spend more time together, you become a lot more flirtatious
Which Emmett doesn’t mind at all
A lot of your flirting comes from silly bets and competitions
“I bet you can’t hold me up with one hand for a minute.”
“I could totally beat you in arm wrestling! No? Come on, let’s do it right now then!”
“I think I’m strong enough to get out of a headlock, wanna test me?”
And when you finally get together?
Oh boy
It’s almost like watching two little kids insist that they’re the faster runner
Emmett’s siblings like to encourage your behavior
Which makes his parents, especially Carlisle, a bit displeased
“So…” Carlisle sighed, tying off the final stitch in your arm before turning his attention to Emmett’s now wonky nose. “What did we learn today?”
You and Emmett faked contemplation. “Don’t race in the woods?” Emmett guessed.
“Close.” The doctor responded with only the slightest bit of amusement. “You also shouldn’t push each other into trees.”
“In my defense, Alice said I had a good chance at winning.” You pointed out, but neither Cullen seemed to agree.
Your boyfriend was the one to rebut. “Yeah, but it’s not exactly fair when you start pushing to get ahead.”
“You pushed me first!”

Rescued by the Cullen family just in time, Vincent is thrust within a world much darker—and more complicated—than he ever imagined. Haunted and afraid, Vincent finds comfort in Esme’s arms, but his presence ignites fierce debate within the Coven. September of 1997,
“Vincent, I asked you to put on your coat.” Eleanor sighed as she carefully tugged the warm puffy coat onto her son, zipping it up. Vincent’s face scrunched up in a quiet frown. “Sorry, mama, I really want to play in the snow.” Eleanor chuckled softly, brushing a lock of blonde hair behind his ear. “Alright, darling, but don’t go too far. Dinner will be soon, so listen for me.” Vincent nodded eagerly, a wide grin spreading across his face as he dashed toward the red double doors, pushing them open into the front yard, his boots crunching in the newly fallen snow.
Winter had decided to arrive early this year round, blanketing the Rothschild front yard in a fresh, powdery white. The kind of snow that made everything feel new—safe, almost magical. Eleanor watched her son run through the snow with a tender smile, but as the wind began to howl a faint unease tugged at her chest. The trees swaying along with the rugged wind felt like a warning, a bad omen perhaps? But she dismissed it.
Inside, Eleanor moved to the kitchen, where the sweet, rich but familiar aroma wafted throughout the house—a smell that always calmed Eleanor and made her feel right at home. She stirred the pot with practiced hands, her thoughts wandering to her childhood; when her mother would cook this soup and sit at the table telling stories, fables for her and her brothers to memorize. The routine was comforting, something she always did and Eleanor would continue to follow this routine.
Soon, the sound of the front door creaking open reached her ears. Anthony stepped inside, brushing off the pesky snow that clung to his coat. Behind him, Vincent appeared, cheeks rosy and eyes wide with excitement. He was soaked through, his boots covered in snow, but he beamed as though winter itself was his playmate. “Ah, I was just about to call him in dear,” Eleanor said with a smile, her voice a soothing presence in the warm residence. Anthony chuckled softly, “I figured I’d save you the trouble.”
As Vincent hurried down the hallway, Anthony joined his wife at the dining table. The two exchanging a quiet glance, the comfort of routine settling over them like a warm blanket. “Anything new at the firm today?” Eleanor asked, dishing out bowls of the rich soup. “Nothing too exciting,” Anthony replied with a shrug, his voice carrying the calm indifference of a long day’s work. “Mark got fired today though, apparently he was having an affair with the manager's daughter. To say the least Derek was not happy and Mark won’t be missed. Otherwise it was just a few cases, nothing too pressing.” Eleanor frowned, her thoughts turning to Irene, Mark's wife. “Oh, I hope she’s doing alright…” A quiet sadness enveloped the table as both parents dug into their meal. The rich soup tasted even better than usual, yet Eleanor couldn’t shake the heaviness in her heart as she thought of Irene’s situation.
Vincent, the ever-hungry boy, finished his soup in record time. His bowl was practically clean, save for the mess on his face. He looked up at his mother, his big brown eyes sparkling with eagerness. Eleanor smiled softly. “Of course, sweetheart.” She filled his bowl once more, her hands steady, but her heart still heavy. Vincent’s joyful spirit filled the house, but there was a quiet, gnawing worry deep within her.
The evening soon passed with Vincent watching Scooby-Doo, laughter filling the room as he sat on the couch, eyes glued to the screen. The warmth of family surrounded them. The clink of silverware, the murmur of conversation, and the glow of the fireplace created a sense of peace, but even in the comfort of her home, Eleanor couldn’t push away the strange feeling that had settled deep in her chest.
After two episodes, Eleanor glanced at the clock and softly said, “Vince, it’s time for bed, darling.” Vincent, ever the stubborn child, pouted. “But mama, I want to watch more.” Anthony gave his son a gentle shake of the head. “Not tonight, buddy. You need your rest.” Reluctantly, Vincent agreed. He trudged down the hall, dragging his feet. The house was still and quiet, the only sound being the soft rustle of pajamas as Vincent changed into his Spider-Man onesie and climbed into bed. The stars on his ceiling glowed in the darkness, comforting him as he stared up at them, lost in his own thoughts.
It wasn’t long before sleep claimed him—until a loud crash shattered the night's peace. It sounded like glass breaking, followed by hurried footsteps. Vincent’s heart raced as fear took root in his chest. He shot out of bed and crept towards the door, the house eerily silent except for the quickened thumping of his own heartbeat. From the hallway, he heard something else—voices—his mother’s and father’s unmistakable whispers. Then, the unmistakable sound of another set of footsteps. Someone was in the house.
Then came the scream. A blood curdling scream from his own mother—one so full of terror that it froze Vincent’s blood in his veins. “Mama!” Vincent cried, his feet moving before he could think. “Papa!” He rushed down the hallway, every instinct telling him to protect his parents, but the sight that greeted him in the living room was enough to freeze him to his core. Eleanor lay motionless on the floor, a pool of blood spreading beneath her, staining the once-pristine white rug. Her eyes were wide, unseeing. The man who had once held her so tenderly, Anthony, lay nearby, his body lifeless, his blood staining the floor as a tall, pale figure loomed over them. The creature turned its crimson eyes toward Vincent. In that moment, the fear that paralyzed him broke. He screamed, his voice high-pitched with terror. “Get away from them!” But the creature paid no mind. Its gaze never wavered from Vincent, hunger flashing in its eyes.
Meanwhile in the Cullen residence,
Alice froze, her hands shaking as a vision unfolded before her eyes. The world around her dissolved, and the horrors she saw were like a sickening wave that threatened to drown her. Her breath hitched as her vision came into focus—newborn vampires were attacking a family, and the child was the target. “What is it, Alice?” Jasper’s voice was urgent as he rushed to her side, his face pale with concern. “They’re after a boy… he’s in danger,” Alice gasped, her voice trembling with the knowledge of what was coming. “If they bite him… they’ll create an immortal child. They need to stop.” Carlisle immediately stood, his expression hardening as he took in the gravity of the situation. “Where are they? What does the house look like?” Jasper handed Alice a piece of paper, and with incredible speed, Alice sketched the house she had seen in the vision. The Cullen’s wasted no time. They were on the move, the smell of blood heavy in the air as they reached the Rothschild home.
Vincent didn’t know what to do. The vampire was upon him, pinning him to the ground. Its breath was hot on his face as it bared its teeth, preparing to sink them into his flesh. The world around him seemed to go dark, and just as the vampire’s fangs descended toward his throat, something— someone—tore the creature off him. Vincent scrambled to his feet, terror flooding his veins, and ran into his parents’ bedroom, slamming the door behind him. His sobs filled the darkness as he huddled in the closet, shaking uncontrollably, his tiny body wracked with fear.
Carlisle, his eyes sharp with concern, moved silently through the house, searching for the boy. The last of the newborn vampires were being dealt with by Jasper, Emmett, and Alice, but Vincent’s safety was his priority. He found him, huddled in the closet, shaking like a leaf. The soft sounds of crying were unmistakable. Carlisle’s dead heart ached seeing Vincent in such despair, he knew the boy to be lively, talkative, and more energetic than most boys his age. He knelt beside the human boy, the pale light from the moon seeping within the crack of the door, casting a soft glow upon the boy’s face revealing the tear stained cheeks.
The savage screams of the newborn vampire echoed through the house, each one making Vincent shrink deeper into the shadows of the closet. He curled in on himself, trying to disappear into the darkness. The soft glow of the moonlight that had illuminated his tear-streaked face moments ago faded, leaving him almost completely hidden. Carlisle’s eyes flicked instinctively toward the bedroom doorway as the growls and cries grew nearer—then, just as suddenly, they ceased, leaving behind an eerie, heavy silence.
“Vincent, it’s over now. You’re safe.” Carlisle’s voice was calm, as he extended a steady hand toward the trembling boy. Behind him, his adoptive children entered the room silently, their presence both reassuring and unnervingly still. “The newborns are gone,” Edward spoke softly, his amber eyes flickering to the human child, then to the back of Carlisle's head; his adoptive fathers thoughts loud in the smaller room. Edward knew it was a terrible idea, having a human child join a vampire Coven was unheard of; it was punishable.
“Carlisle, you can’t be serious,” Edward said, his voice tight with disbelief. His amber eyes flicked from the trembling boy to his father figure, searching for any sign of hesitation. “This isn’t like you.” Carlisle held his ground, his gaze steady and unyielding. “Don’t do that.” Edward’s brow furrowed. “What?” The room was still, “Do not use your gift against me,” Carlisle said, his tone firm, edged with rare authority. “If you want to understand my decisions, ask. But stay out of my thoughts.” Edward scoffed, taking a step back as if the words stung. “What happened to you being the voice of reason?” he snapped. “A human in a vampire Coven? It’s madness, Carlisle.” His voice rose, sharp with frustration. “If the Volturi find out, they won’t hesitate—they’ll kill us. All of us. They’ll make sure you watch while they slaughter that boy because you broke their laws.” He gestured toward Vincent, who shivered, eyes wide with fear at the mere mention of dying. “The boy is afraid, it doesn’t take Jasper to tell us that.” Edward spoke, softer now, but no less fierce. “And if you bring him into our world, surrounded by what he should fear most… he’ll never stop being afraid.”
Carlisle pinched the bridge of his nose, “I know what it entails, Edward. I don’t need it broken down.” Beside Edward, Rosalie scoffed, her arms crossed tightly, “You really aren’t thinking clearly,” she snapped. “We’re vampires for christ sake, Carlisle. He's a human child. How long do you think he’ll live?” In the background of the chaos was Esme, who was as gentle as she could be knelt in front of the boy. “You must be scared? I know that feeling, it’s okay now. No one is going to hurt you.” Esme saw as Vincent’s body started calming down, “They argue a lot, but it’s nothing to fear sweetheart.” Emmett placed a hand on Rosalie's shoulder, his tone gentle. “Rose, hey— relax. Let’s hear him out first.” Rosalie looked at her husband with pure disbelief, “I am hearing him out.” She hissed, “What I hear is insanity.”
Carlisle stood firm, and Esme rose from the ground, turning to face him. Her voice was soft, but there was steel beneath it. “Carlisle… this isn’t just risky. If the Volturi finds out, it won’t be a warning. It’ll be an execution.” The room fell silent, save for the human boy's heart. Still she stepped closer to him, taking his hand. “But if this is what your heart believes is right, then I will stand by you—no matter what it may cost.” Carlisle smiled, his eyes looking at their joined hands. “I knew the boy’s parents—Eleanor and Anthony. They were good people,” Carlisle said softly, his voice carrying both memory and sorrow. His golden eyes lingered on Vincent. “I can’t just leave him behind. And handing him over to someone else… That comes with its own risks. He’ll remember tonight, even if he can’t understand it.”
Rosalie scoffed and crossed her arms lightly over her chest, eyes narrowed. “So what now?” She snapped. “Play house? Pretend we’re some perfect little family while the Volturi watches our every move, just waiting for one wrong step to tear us apart.” Emmett didn’t dare speak, rubbing his lover's arm in a quiet attempt to sooth her rage. Rosalie’s amber eyes narrowed on the human boy, unflinching and fierce. There was pity in her gaze as she looked away from the boy. Carlisle remained still and silent, his thoughts filled with conflict, reasoning. His children were right after all. Esme, who had been standing at Carlisle’s side, said. “I understand what you all are feeling,” her gaze swept from Edward to Rosalie, softening as she finally looked up at Carlisle. “This is reckless, dangerous. It could cost everything we’ve worked for.” She paused, looking at Vincent. He was watching everyone closely, his eyes wet with lingering tears.
Before anyone could speak, Alice’s voice broke the brief silence. “I’ve seen him.” All heads turned, even Vincent’s who was now curious who she had seen. “Not clear. Just flashes,” she said slowly. “Moments. A little older. Still human… and alive.” Alice glanced at Vincent, his eyes wide and glinting with curiosity, before turning her gaze back to the others. “In every flash, he is with us.” Jasper stiffened beside her, “The visions don’t hold long.” Her voice wavered slightly, a rare uncertainty creeping in. Edward’s jaw tightened. “This means nothing, you of all people should know the future is unstable—especially around humans. One choice can change everything.” Alice’s golden-honey eyes briefly lingered on Edwards sharp gaze before they shifted to Jasper. “I know,” she replied. “This all feels like a terrible idea, logically anyway. Right now though, the future is clean of blood. We should take that for granted.”
Rosalie let out a bitter laugh, the sound sharp and jarring. “The future lies, Alice. It always has,” she snapped, arms crossed tightly over the chest. “You’ve seen things before that never came true—things that gave us hope just to rip it away.” Alice flinched slightly, but Rosalie wasn’t finished. “I don’t care what you all decide,” she said coldly, brushing past Emmett’s light touch on her arm. “But if you’re so keen on keeping it—” she motioned toward Vincent with a sneer, “ that disgusting thing, then fine. Just make sure it stays far away from me.” Her heels clicked hard against the wooden floors as she stormed out of the room, fury trailing behind her like a shadow. Emmett hesitated before slipping out of the room after her.
Carlisle stood in silence, his eyes fixed on the empty space where Rosalie and Emmett has been moments before. The stillness clung to the room, thick and unmoving. “Are… army parents really dead?” Vincent’s voice broke the quiet, trembling and thin, glazed with a glossy sheen of fear and disbelief. He didn’t look up. His eyes stayed locked on the floor, as though lifting them might force the truth to solidify—might make the loss feel real. A heavy silence followed, stretching between them like a wall.
Vincent shifted his weight, glancing toward the motherly woman—he couldn’t remember her name, but he remembered her face. Gentle, warm. Just like how she was when everyone was arguing. He had seen her before, when visiting Mr. Cullen, the man who stood next to her. She smiled at him then just like she was now. Vincent desperately wanted to curl up in her arms. Jasper quietly reached over and squeezed Alice’s hand, his touch gentle but grounding. He didn’t feel any thirst when he looked at the boy—no burn in his throat, no instinctual craving—but the boy was human nonetheless. Vincent’s emotions were loud, present still. Fear. Confusion. Jasper kept himself still, not wanting to startle Vincent, not when the boy had finally come out.
Carlisle approached the boy slowly, his expression calm, kneeling down so that his eyes were level with Vincent’s. There was a gentleness in the way he moved, as though any sudden motion might break the boy. “Vincent,” he said softly, his voice smooth as ever, “your parents… they’re just somewhere else now. Somewhere you can’t go—not yet.” He didn’t lie, not exactly. Vincent looked at him for a long moment. His eyes were tired, too tired for someone so young, but something in Carlisle’s words seemed to settle him. He gave a small, solemn nod.
Off to the side, Edward let out a quiet sigh, shaking his head. “Carlisle’s made up his mind,” he muttered, not bothering to hide the hint of frustration in his voice. “He’s keeping the boy, I’m done here.” He turned away, disappearing down the hall without another word. Alice lingered, her usually bright demeanor dimmed by unease. She stayed close to Jasper, her fingers laced tightly with his. Though she didn’t speak, her eyes remained on Vincent, watchful and uncertain. Nonetheless, she and Jasper stayed.
A tiny yawn escaped Vincent. Esme’s face softened with instinctive affection. Without hesitation, she stepped forward and gently lifted Vincent off the floor, cradling him against her like he weighed nothing at all. He didn’t resist. Instead, his small arms wrapped slowly around her neck, and he let out a breath—a deep, shuddery exhale, as if he’d been holding it in for hours. Within seconds, his body relaxed completely against hers, his head resting on her shoulder. Jasper stood silently nearby, a small smile creeping onto his lips. He absorbed the calm that had taken the place of fear. Alice, though still tense, softened at the sight, her eyes tracing the lines of the boy’s face as if trying to memorize something important.
The house settled into a pleasant silence, Carlisle’s gaze lingered on the boy sleeping soundly in Esme’s arms. Vincent’s breathing was slow and steady now, his small frame curled gently against her like he had belonged there all along. Esme swayed ever so slightly, humming a tune under her breath that only someone with heightened senses could hear. Her touch was instinctively material, protective. Peaceful. But Carlisle’s mind had already drifted somewhere else. The Denali Coven.
They had been gracious hosts so far—open, welcoming, even joyful in their reunion with extended family. But Carlisle knew the unspoken rules among them, the lines drawn in centuries of mutual understanding. Bringing a human child into their midst, especially one so young and vulnerable, wasn’t something any of them had agreed on. Family, yes. But not without conditions.
The Denali sisters—Tanya in particular—were not always temperate as Carlisle. There would be questions. Objections. Maybe worse. The boy’s presence would shift the balance of everything, no matter how gentle or innocent he seemed. Carlisle could already imagine the looks, the discussions held just out of earshot, the concern that one slip could spell disaster. Still, he said nothing. He didn’t want to burden Esme with the thought—she looked too serene, too full of quiet joy as she held Vincent, her fingers brushing through his hair with a tenderness that made Carlisle’s chest ache. He would carry this uncertainty alone, for now. There would be time to navigate the Denali Coven. Time to explain, to reason, to protect. No matter what Carlisle had made up his mind, the boy was going to be a part of the family.

Chapter 3: Making Friends
September 2004
By the time friday rolled around, Y/N had begun to find a routine at Forks High School. The halls no longer felt like a labyrinth, and the faces were starting to become more familiar. Still, it was lonely navigating a new place without anyone to call a friend.
That same morning, her homeroom teacher introduced her to Jessica, even if she already knew who she was (but he didn’t know that), to give her an official tour of the school. Y/N had already learned her way around, but she accepted anyway, grateful for the chance to connect more with her classmate.
Jessica was chatty, as usual, pointing out all the little quirks of the school as they walked through the halls. “That’s Mrs. Stone’s classroom. She’s nice, but hze quizzes are impossible. Oh, and over there is the gym. We usually have PE outside unless it’s raining, which, you know, is most of the time”.
Y/N chuckled, finding herself relaxing in Jessica’s company. “Thanks for showing me around. It’s nice to have someone to talk to”.
“Of course!” Jessica grinned. “You’re doing great, though. You’ve already survived the cafeteria last week”.
Y/N laughed, and for the first time since arriving in Forks, she felt genuine happiness.
During second period, Y/N saw on her planning she had Litterature. She adjusted her shoulder bag over her leather Jacket before entering the classroom. The teacher wasn’t here yet, so she directed herself toward the back, where she found a seat next to a muscular brown haired boy. He looked like he could be part of the football team, and seemed odly familiar. Y/N then remembered where she first saw him: it was Emmett Cullen, she recalled from what Jessica told him. He shared those same golden orbs as the rest of the Cullen family, as well as their ethereal and inhuman beauty.
The boy smiled at her, “Hello there, I’m Emmett”. Y/N blinked out of surprise before answering, “I’m Y/N”. He nodded at her as the teacher entered the room and telling the class to quiet.
At lunch, Jessica introduced her to Eric and Tyler, and she rapidly understood that gossip was the principal subject of conversation within the group. It didn’t bother her though, it was better to befriend them than to be by herself. The four of them sat together, chatting about classes and teachers.
Midway through their meal, a boy, who she learned to be Mike Newton, appeared at their table, his boyish grin firmly in place. “Hey, Y/N, right?”
She nodded, unsure where this was going. “Yeah”.
“Cool. I’m Mike” he said, pulling up a chair without waiting for an invitation. “I saw you in chemistry the other day. How’s it going?”
“It’s… going just fine”, Y/N replied, exchanging a glance with Angela, who hid a small smile behind her hand.
Mike seemed undeterred by her answer. “If you ever need help with anything, just let me know. I’ve been here forever, so I know the ropes”.
“Thanks” she said, though she couldn’t help but feel a bit cornered by his actions.
Jessica leaned closer, her voice low. “Mike’s nice, but he can be a little… intense when he likes someone”.
Y/N’s cheeks flushed. She wasn’t sure how to feel about Mike’s sudden interest in her, but it was nice to know someone was paying attention.
As the day went on, Y/N couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched. It wasn’t the casual curiosity she’d felt from her classmates on the first day: this was sharper, more focused. Every time she turned around, she caught Alice Cullen’s gaze fixed on her.
During spanish, Y/N dared to make direct eyecontact with Alice. The petite brunette girl smiled, but it wasn’t the kind of smile that set her at ease. It was knowing, as if Alice was privy to a secret Y/N hadn’t been let in on.
By the time the final bell rang, Y/N's nerves were a mess. As she packed up her things, Jessica caught up with her. “Hey, do you want to come over this weekend? Angela and I were thinking of watching some movies while doing our nails and you know, sleepover”.
Y/N hesitated, surprised by the offer. “Really? That sounds great, I would love to”.
Jessica grinned. “Awesome. Give me your number, I’ll text you the details”.
The walk home felt longer than usual, the grey sky pressing down on her. Her thoughts kept drifting back to Alice. There was no denying the girl’s strangeness, her habit of staring at her, the enigmatic smiles, the way she always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else.
When Y/N reached her house, she found her uncle Charlie in the living room, watching a baseball game. He looked up as she entered. “How was school?”.
“Not bad” she said, dropping her bag by the door. “I think I made some friends”.
Charlie nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “That’s good”.
Y/N returned the smile, but the words felt distant. Whatever was going on with Alice Cullen and her family was anything but normal.
That night, as she lay in bed, Y/N’s thoughts were a storm of confusion. Alice’s behavior wasn’t just odd; it was as if she knew her, or smething about her; as if she was waiting for something to happen. And then there was Carlisle, whose calming presence lingered in her mind.
Y/N closed her eyes, determined to push the thoughts away. Tomorrow was another day, and she wasn’t going to let the mysteries of Forks consume her. But deep down, she knew she was already entangled in something far bigger than she could imagine.
October 2004 - Carlisle pov
It had been a month since Y/N began her new life in Forks, and Carlisle Cullen observed her with a growing sense of unease. As both a doctor and psychologist, his life revolved around maintaining a professional distance from those his patients, but Y/N made that distance increasingly difficult to maintain.
He sat in his office at the clinic, reviewing his notes from their latest session. Y/N had been referred to him shortly after her arrival, a recommendation from Chief Swan after her tragic loss. In their bi-weekly meetings, they discussed her parents’ death, her grief, and her attempts to adjust to life in Forks. She was reserved but thoughtful.
“It’s hard to think about the future” she had admitted during their last session. “I feel like I’m stuck in this in-between place, not really living but not ready to move on, either”.
Carlisle had offered her the reassurance he always gave his patients: that grief was a process, and it was okay to take things one step at a time. Yet, even as he spoke, he found himself wanting to do more for her. He chalked it up to her vulnerability, to the way she reminded him of the countless lives he’d seen shattered over the centuries. But was that all it was?
On a rainy Thursday evening, Carlisle found himself at the diner in town, grabbing his team some coffee for the nightshift. He rarely did it, but lately, the solitude of his home felt oppressive. The diner was a warm haven, music was flowing, and it filled with the hum of conversation and the clatter of dishes.
(https://open.spotify.com/intl-fr/track/0cZDC7uxNK8lqQ3GgyvCnD?si=68648eb8b99a433a)
It was there that he saw her.
Y/N sat at a booth near the window, surrounded by her friends. She was wearing a red dress underneath her everpresent oversized leather jacket, with a multitude of silver necklaces. Her delicate fingers where adorned with silver rings, one representing a snake, another with a amethyst, and the others just plain silver. Jessica and Angela were there, too, along with Mike Newton, who seemed particularly attentive to anything Y/N had to say, desperatly gapping for her attention. Carlisle watched as she laughed at something Mike said, her expression lighter than he’d ever seen before. It suited her, he thought, that smile. It made her seem more like the young woman she was supposed to be, rather than the grief-stricken girl he’d come to know.
But then, Carlisle’s chest tightened. The sight of her with Mike stirred something unnameable within him, an ache that bordered on jealousy. He forced himself to look away, gripping his coffee cup as though it might ground him.
This wasn’t right. He was her therapist, her doctor. She was only 17 with a long life ahead of her, waiting to be lived. And beyond that, he had Esme.
Esme.
The name brought a familiar pang of guilt. She was his mate. The loving and caring mother figure of the Cullens clan. Yet, in recent months, something about their connection felt… forced. Esme had grown distant, her smiles never quite reaching her eyes. He had attributed it to the passing of time, to the natural flow of relationships. But now, as he wrestled with his unexpected and oh so wrong feelings for Y/N, Carlisle couldn’t help but question everything he’d accepted as truth.
From her booth, Y/N glanced toward the counter and noticed Dr. Cullen sitting alone, waiting for the coffees. She hesitated before turning back to her friends, but something about his presence lingered in her mind. It was strange seeing him outside the clinical setting. Here, he seemed almost… human.
“You okay?” Mike asked, leaning closer. His tone was light, but his eyes betrayed his concern.
Y/N forced a smile. “Yeah, just tired”.
Mike’s brow furrowed. “If you need to talk or anything, you know I’m here, right?”.
“I know. Thanks, Mike” she said, appreciating his kindness even as she struggled to fully reciprocate his feelings. He was sweet, and being with him was easy. But something held her back, a quiet voice in her mind whispering that this wasn’t what she truly wanted.
Carlisle’s gaze drifted back to Y/N despite himself. He noted the way she interacted with her friends, the subtle hesitations in her movements. She was still grieving, that much was clear, but she was trying. He admired her resilience, even as he questioned why he felt such a deep connection to her struggle.
And then there was Alice.
Her recent behavior had been… odd, even for her. She’d been distracted, her usual clarity clouded by something. Carlisle hadn’t pressed her for details, respecting her boundaries, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that something larger was at play. Alice’s visions had always been a cornerstone of their family’s stability, and to see them falter was unsettling.
As he paid for the coffees and left the diner, Carlisle resolved to focus on what he could control. Y/N was his patient, and his priority was her well-being. Whatever he was feeling, whether it was misplaced sympathy or something deeper, he would set it aside. For her sake, and for his own.

Chapter Seven, Meet Again
(Alice X Reader X Jasper)

[Six] [Seven] [Eight]
Meeting the parents… Okay.. Yeah, I can do this. They aren’t really their parents. Also not like I just started talking to them or anything. I take a deep breath just as someone starts knocking on my door. I look to see it’s Bella standing in my doorway, I smile as she enters my room. “What’s up?” I tilt my head. “Woww, you actually dressed up.” She pokes my side, I jerk away from her, rolling my eyes. “Yeah, yeah, you too.” I compliment, going over to my mirror I just had put up with the help of Charlie.
I just bought new jewelry for my piercings, to make them less noticeable as well. “You nervous?” She comes up behind me, I give her a look through the mirror, not even turning around to do so. “Stupid question, Bells.” I stand up straight, fixing my hair as I do so.
“[Name], that boy’s here.” Charlie calls, my body tenses up. My smirks, “shut up.” I tell her, leaving her in my room and I go to the front door. “Bye, dad. I’ll see you later!” I shout out, I’m already out of the door, Jasper there to greet me at the bottom of the stairs.
“Where’s Alice?” I ask, he takes my arm, leading me to his car. “We thought it would be best to have your dad think you’re just dating me so you don’t have to deal with anything awkward unless you chose to.” He explains, opening the car door for me, letting me get in then shutting it to go to the other side. He gets in quite quickly as if he was already missing my touch.
Once on the road he puts his hand in between us, giving me the choice to take it. I’d be stupid not to, my hand meets his. I watch him smile in the corner of my eye. Now thinking about it him and Alice always need to hold or touch me in some sort of way. These past three days have been filled of them either putting an arm around my waist, a hand holding mine, one of them clinging to my arm or a hand simply on my shoulder and knee.
The ride through the trees was beautiful, it’s something I could never get over. The peeping through of animals that stared, the animals that were just living their lives.
“We’re here.” Jasper mumbles, letting go of me but before we could even unbuckle my door opened. It was Alice there with a grin, she helped me out and shut the door. “You look beautiful.” She kisses my cheek that has already warmed up from the attention I got from Jasper. She clinged to my arm as Jasper went up to the house opening the door for us.
Four of them stood in front of me. “[Name], how wonderful it is to see you.” A lady engulfs me into a hug, confused but still hugging her back she lets go, taking my face in her hands. “It’s been so long.” She whispers, I smile awkwardly, not knowing what she’s talking about.
“Esme, she doesn’t remember.” Alice reminds her, Esme’s face drops as it clicks in her head. “It’s nice to see you again, [Name].” Dr. Cullen or Carlisle smiles, I nod. “It’s nice when my sister is not hurt at a hospital.” I joke, he chuckles agreeing with me. “Certainly.” I figured he probably meant the same thing as Esme about seeing me again. Realizing they have all met me before in my past life before this one.
I glance over to Emmett and Rosalie, remembering their names from when Jessica and Angela has explained who they were to Bella. Rosalie has a soft smile upon her lips as Emmett grinned. “Were we friends..?” I questioned, they all chuckle but I wasn’t joking. “Very good ones.” Rosalie tells me and I let out a breath of relief. Her man squeezes her to his side. “Oh yeah, we’ve made quite the memories. You were a wild one.” He laughs loudly, I look back at Alice and Jasper who looked almost pissed by his words but quickly hide it once they saw my face.
“Well, we’re going to talk to her for a little ourselves before Edward and Bella get here.” Alice excuses the three of us, I wave to them and they happily do the same back. Rosalie had an expression on her face once Bella’s name was mentioned. She seemed pained? Disgusted? I mentally shrug, most likely going to find that out later.
“What was that about?” I ask them once we were out on a balcony. They act confused but I knew they know what I am talking about. “Your faces when Emmett said something about my past life. Why can’t anyone tell me anything?” I cross my arms. I was a little upset, I don’t understand why they refuse to tell me about myself.
“[Name], it’s something you have to figure out and know on your own. It will come.” Alice places her hand on my shoulder. I roll my eyes. “Okay, another question.” I state, they both make eye contact with me and I continue. “Why are none of you affected by my blood? Okay I get you two but everyone else also seemed perfectly fine.”
“Carlisle is because he’s been around and a vegetarian way longer than us.” Alice tells me, “The others is because you’re different, we haven’t figured it out but we don’t know.” Jasper frowns, I could tell they wish they knew so they could tell me. Also probably because I ask so many things.
I hear two car doors shut and I look over to see Edward and Bella are here. They don’t notice us or at least Bella doesn’t so I turn back to the other two.
“So, we have to warn you of something.” Alice starts and I notice Jasper has tensed up. “Jasper does well around you obviously but your sister not so much.” I nod, understanding. Jasper holds onto my arm and I look at him sympathetically.
“We want to also give her a small welcoming gift. We have one for you but that’s later.” Alice winks, Jasper then suddenly picks me up and I gasp as they jump down from the balcony. I hide my face in his neck. He chuckles, carefully placing me back down. Alice goes around picking random wild flowers, I watch as she will turn and ask if each one is pretty enough.
Each time we would tell her they are perfect.
I think of all the questions building inside of my head as I lean against a tree, patiently letting Alice do her thing and drag Jasper with her.
And the one question that seems to never go away: Why me?
Out of all of this, why me? Out of everyone, why me? Something I don’t think even they can answer. Or anyone, really. “[Name], let’s go back.” Alice happily says, showing me her flowers too. I smile, nodding, letting Jasper pick me back up and I squeeze my eyes shut as they jump over the rail. Jasper letting me down but holding my hand immediately after.
“Hi, Bella!”
Alice bounces forward towards my sister, kissing her cheek and handing her the flowers. “I’m Alice. You do smell good!” She seemed to be teasing. “Alice.” Edward starts. “It’s alright, Bella and I are going to be great friends.” She tells the taller vampire.
Bella extends out her hand. “And you’re Jasper, right?” He grips my hand a tiny bit tighter and I squeeze it back. “Pleasure to meet you.” He steps behind me.
“You won’t hurt her, Jasper.” Alice gently encourages him, Edward ends up taking her hand instead. “I’ll give you a tour of the house.”
“I’ll see you soon.” Alice speaks up, Edward shoots her a look, both Bella and I notice before her guides her further up the house. Jasper seems disappointed in himself then his eyes go to my face and I smile causing him to do the same.
Alice slides her arm to my waist, giving me a short hug. As awkward as that whole thing was I was glad my sister found someone. The two end up leaving my side, Jasper and Alice tell me they have to talk about something.
Moments later we hear them laughing outside. “She’s brought him to life.” I overhear Esme talking. “He’s been alone too long… but how can it end well?” Carlisle responds. “Alice has been wrong before.” Esme enterjects.
“Not often.”
“How about [Name], she only remembers everything when she comes to a near death experience that in the end does end up-”
My eyes widen, the words that come out of Esme’s mouth cause my breathing to hitch. Near death… What?
Everything looks blurry and I clench at my chest as I try to catch my breath. I hear someone yelling at me but it sounds disoriented. I hold onto whatever is closest to me and end up knocking a glass thing over, breaking it. Luckily someone walks me away from it. I look up. “Hey, hey, calm down.” It’s Alice and Rosalie holding me as I glance over to see Carlisle and Emmett picking up the glass. “I’m sorry.” I exaspperate. “You’re okay, don’t worry. I need you to breathe.” Alice holds my face in her hands almost like Esme did before but this is more comforting knowing it’s my Alice.
She places a hand on my heart. Then Jasper gently push the two girls away and suddenly my fear went away and I can actually take a deep breath without it hurting. Alice pulls me into her arms as everything calms down.
“I want to go home.” I sigh. “We can do that.” She assures me. “I’m sorry,” I apologize to everyone in the room.

First Date
Prev
A low growl rumbled in Marcus’s chest as he stood on the balcony of Volterra Castle, watching his beloved daughter head out on what could be considered her first date. He looked on with malice as the boy opened the car door for the princess, holding her hand carefully as he guided her into the seat.
How dare that swine put his hands on her, Marcus thought, and immediately started imagining the many ways he could torture the lad for his misdeeds. Marcus’s growl grew louder and angrier the longer he watched. His mate had heard enough.
“Easy there, tiger!” Came her melodic voice from just behind him. “They’re only going to the movies, my love, not running off to elope!” She laughed as she slid her arms around her husband’s waist, her cheek pressed firmly against his back.
“It doesn’t matter where they are going, Y/N, I don’t like it.”
“Marcus! Come now.” She chided. “You have trusted Felix to protect your life every single day for the last 2000 years. I think we can trust him to take our little girl on one simple date.”
“He’s too old for her.” Marcus pouted.
Y/N erupted in boisterous giggles. “That’s rich coming from you, Marcus. Remind me again how many thousand years we have between us? I think we’ve gone well beyond the guidelines for a typical May/December romance.”
“That’s different,” Marcus insisted, guiding Y/N to stand before him as he tried to come up with a new argument. “He’s a guard.”
“An elite guard, darling. A highly decorated one at that. You’ve said before that he is warrior so fierce, his skills can only be matched by Caius or yourself. He would protect her with his life.”
“Hmmm.”
“Very articulate, il mio re.” (My king)
“Now, do you want to tell me what’s really bothering you, sweetheart?” Y/N asked.
Marcus sighed, lifting a hand to cup his wife’s cheek as he smiled sadly. “She’s just growing up so fast, Y/N. My little mouse is graduating this year. She starts University next fall. It seems like yesterday she was playing with dolls in my study, and now she’s going out on a date. Where did the time go?”
Y/N nodded in sympathy. “Kids grow up, Marcus. We have to acknowledge that. We raised an intelligent, strong, beautiful young woman, who never spent a single day wondering if she was loved by her family. She’s going to rule the world one day and we’ll all be lucky enough to be around to see it. She’s never going to leave us behind completely, dearest. You know that.”
“I do.” He sighed. “ I suppose I was just hoping she’d need her old dad around for a little bit longer, you know?”
“Well, there is one bright side to her growing up and starting her own life,” Y/N offered.
“Oh? What’s that, my dear?”
“Grandchildren.”
“Grandchildren!?” He sputtered. “Surely not with Felix! That’s impossible!”
“Tell that to Carlisle Cullen!” Y/N teased, laughing at the look of shock on her husband’s face.
“Maybe she’s not as grown up as I think,” Marcus concluded. “We still have many years before we have to consider something like that.”
“Exactly. So let’s allow her to go on as many first dates as she wants. Let her keep being a kid for a little while longer.”
Marcus nodded his agreement.
“You know… since she’s out for the night we could act like teenagers for a little while if you want to.” Y/N teased.
“And what do you have in mind, amore mio?”
“Wanna go fool around in the library?”
“YN!” Marcus scolded. “Don’t you remember how upset Aro got the last time he caught us doing that?”
“So?” She shrugged.
“Alright, my queen. It’s a date!”

The Cullens at the Club
My requests are open if you have a silly scenario you want to see these fellers in!
Edward:
^ his face the whole time
jk jk
He only agreed to tag along so that he could keep you out of harm's way
Doesn't need to drink and doesn't want to
I feel like he would be silently judgemental if you have more than three drinks
He would hold your drinks while you go to the bathroom tho
His favorite part would be dancing with you
Of course he would prefer to do it somewhere that isn't so crowded...
But he makes do
Told himself beforehand that he wouldn't get into a fight with anyone
But if anyone were to touch you without you knowing...
He had to have a talk with Carlisle afterward about controlling anger around humans
8/10 club partner he would prefer to be home
Alice:
The BEST
She has some rave outfits she never gets to wear...
And one of them might happen to randomly be your size...
She's a little crazy I feel like she would love to let loose
They have to act human around humans all the time
But at the club?
No one there's gonna notice if you're ice cold, not blinking, not breathing, or if you look odd
They are there to party
And so is Alice
She thinks it's funny if you get drunk
She will take very good care of you but she will also take videos and pictures
I feel like she'd have a couple drinks just for the hell of it
Not like she would feel anything but she likes the color of the pretty drink <3
Another dance floor maniac
Literally tearing it up, cutting a rug, if you will
She has a blast
11/10 she's the life of the party
Jasper:
Hoe repellent
Mr freak over here is literally scaring the hoes
If anyone makes the mistake of bumping into him they are guaranteed to stay on the far side of the club for the rest of the night
Good thing you aren't here looking for someone because he is the opposite of a wingman
Poor guy is trying his damnedest not to freak out and kill someone
He only came with you because you begged that you really wanted him there
When he felt your fear at being in a club with men you don't know he agreed
He's lowkey (highkey) regretting it tho
The lights are too much, the music is too loud, there's too many people, the smell of blood is SO strong
If he was a human he would have passed out by now
Jumps at any opportunity to leave
You were dancing and stumbled a little?
Ok time to go home
A guy made eye contact with you for half a second?
That's enough, home time
Will need like 5-7 business days to recover
1/10 sorry
Rosalie:
She's not really into the club scene
She has always been more family-oriented after all
But she'll go just to hang out with you
Seeing all of the young couple is kind of bittersweet to her tho
It reminds her of what she can't have
She's a little mopey
But take her to the dance floor and she'll loosen up
I think her hidden talent is knowing literally every dance ever
She can break dance
Not that she would
But she could if she wanted to
She keeps it lowkey tho
She likes seeing you have fun
Is the perfect support when you're drunk and throwing up
Will hold your hair and get you water
She's a saint the day after if you got really drunk
7/10 sort of in the middle but extra points cause I think she's pretty <3
Emmett:
Oh lord
He was probably the one to suggest to go tbh
He gives me MAJOR frat boy energy
This man has taken his shirt off and jumped on a table to crowdsurf before you were even there for 10 minutes
Monster at beer pong tho
He's not that interested in the dance floor tho he's the one starting bar fights
He thinks it's funny when drunk guys try to fight
One time he started a 20 person fight and he just stood there watching
He got kicked out of course
And banned
And the police would have come if he hadn't left so quick and if the camera footage was better quality
When he's having a chill night tho he loves to parade you around
Again, will fistfight anyone who looks at you weird
"This guy bothering you?" *cue WWE elbow drive*
Overall he's similar to Alice in that he loves to let loose
They don't get to do it too often and he LOVES it
9/10 minus one point because he got you guys kicked out of your favorite bar
Carlisle:
I think he'd hate a normal club
He would love like a high-end bar tho
Like the ones where guys sit in big chairs and smoke cigars and play pool
He's old money what can I say
But if you insist on going he would go with you
Again just to ensure your safety
Mostly he's watching from the sidelines
He doesn't want to go into the crowd of people
Wouldn't really want to dance but he would do it anyway
Mostly he just sort of nags
"I think you might want to hold off on another drink for now"
"Maybe we should go get some fresh air to give your eardrums a break from this loud music"
"You've had a lot to drink maybe you should go to the bathroom"
Brings down the mood a little bit
8/10 extra points because he, again, is a saint the morning after
Esme:
She might be the only one who downright refuses
Don't get me wrong, she cares for you
But not enough to go to the club
She's just not a fan
It's not her scene
She knows who she is, what she likes, and where her priorities are
She would suggest going with someone else
She knows Emmett and Alice love it and would suggest you going with them
She would be there for you as soon as you get home tho
Nice, warm bath
Your favorite food
Comfy clothes
And the next morning your favorite food again along with some painkillers if that's what you need
I feel like I can't give her a rating since she doesn't go tho
So we'll say 0/0
Vampire! Bella:
She's unexpected
At first she'll insist that she doesn't want to go, that it will be too loud, etc.
But she caves eventually
And once she gets there she is a different person
Screaming with the music, dancing up a storm, literally insane
It's a good thing she can't get drunk cause you can't even begin to think what she'd be like then
Of course, she is still aware tho
If she sees you getting uncomfortable, a guy is being creepy, you've drank too much, she is instantly there
Won't fight a guy but she will yell at them
She's more likely to be sneaky tho
One time a guy was hitting on you so she told him off and then sneakily cut a hole in his jeans so the next time he bent over his pants ripped in half
Very memorable night
Solid 10/10 she's fun but also caring

Welcome to “New Fan consistently listens to TMA S2 while playing Minecraft and dying by a skeleton” I’m your host: the new fan. Or I dunno if I’m considered a new fan since I’m listening to s2 but I guess the podcast was made in 2016 and I finally got to it circa 2024. Anyways! Gotta get to it! Post too long already!
MAG 57: Personal Space
Eughhh this one is like top 5 TMA EPS of creeping me out. Lot of stuff here so I’m gonna talk a while. For example, Conrad Lukas was in charge of the project and the Lukas family was shown in Alone and Boatswain Call. Speaking of the latter, Nathaniel Lukas gave an investment to the project. He was the captain of that ship in MAG 33. Pinnacle Aerospsce is majority owned by the Fairchild family WHO CANNOT STAY OUT OF PEOPLES BUSINESS 💀
Carter, the guy who did the project, also had that feeling of being utterly alone in this damn void. He said the line between reality and dreaming was blurred, finding himself in space, a graveyard or an empty ocean. The latter two I think are a reference to Alone and High Pressure respectively which all have the theme of “loneliness, stranded, etc” in common.
The whole “being alone in a large empty space” has been a pattern. The Fairchild family features in that theme and even the Lukas family in Alone. Optic Solutions Limited is based in Norway but the only connection I can figure out is that Jurgen Leitner was from Norway but maybe there was something I missed. Anyways that’s it. God 😭
Nothing much on MAG 58: Rations. Another kind of emphasis on meat. I felt so bad for the unknown lady :( (EDIT 9/2: Benjamin Carlisle shares the same last name as Toby Carlisle and both have very prominent meat themes. God.)
MAG 59: Recluse
Oh boy Raymond Fielding. From what I heard before, I thought he was a good guy since like y’know he took in troubled kids but noooo. He seems to be like the same thing as that woman from Children of the Night. Creepy spider thing. Also; that damn table. Now we finally know what happened to the middle of the table, like the square. Also the apple; Same apple Evo found in burned out. Even described the same. Agnes also, in my theory, a good person because she kissed Ronald’s cheek before he left and then was persuaded to go down to the study where his cheek started burning and snapped him out of it. I think she’s good. I dunno what her deal is but still.
Also, again, the table. It’s definitely the same table. How did Graham find it? He said he bought it in a second hand shop in MAG 3. Did Ray donate it after the events? Did the house burn down but the table still survived? Like god. How did the middle part of the table end up under the tree? With the apple? I have so many questions.
MAG 60: The Observer Effect
Another eye theme. Not many connections but I’m assuming she wanted to blow up the Magnus institute with those barrels of petrol. Maybe she found out something her brother was involved in which she blamed the institute for. I think he didn’t die of a stroke because no one ever dies of natural causes, I mean come on.
Also. Jon getting an intervention is the funniest thing ever. Like he was like before “they’re avoiding me and giving me fruitful glances, they’re up to something” like my dude, they are worried about you 💀
“Yeah sorry if I’ve been distant”
“You literally watch my house”
“You rummaged through my desk”
“You said I was lying about a murder”
I’m literally cackling. They’re not even wrong, Jon is going a little cray cray from all this. He needs an emotional support cat I think.
#the magnus archives#tma#tma podcast#Zabala0z thoughts#I hate the Fairchild family already#also I don’t like the Lukas family#clearly the two families know each other and wanna inflict psychological trauma on everyone#ALSO I see the next episode has Basiras fellow officer#I’ve seen her name thrown around when I quickly skip over TMA posts to avoid spoilers in the tags#guessing she’s important#how is her nickname Daisy#how do you get that from Alice#sorry not important

twilight for the uninitiated
HEYLO BABYGIRLS, BITCHBOYS, AND BOYCOTTERS OF THE BINARY! It's your favourite (and I should hope only) Good Omens Mascot and Maggot Prince here. Yesterday (earlier today? idk I sleep in naps) way over on the maggots server some of y'all were insulting Twilight. Which I am 100% supportive of, but for Bildaddy's sake, you need to insult it CORRECTLY.
But should you have to hate-watch or hate-read it? Nah, you've got me. In middle school I got late to school because I was reading the books in the bathroom instead of getting ready. I'VE GOT YOU! Gonna mix up the book and movie for optimum enjoyment.
Dramatis Personae: Edward Cullen, aka Sparkles the Vampire. Bella Swan, aka Bella Sue. Jacob Black, aka Wolfy Eggfucker. Charlie Swan, aka Gunboy ACAB. And Dr Carlisle Cullen, aka Zaddy. @orpiknight taught me that word.
ALRIGHT! So Bella Sue's mum and dad are divorced and she lives with her mum. But her mum's like lmao fuck you when she gets a touring boyfriend and tosses Bella Sue to Forks, where it rains a lot, and where her dad Gunboy lives.
So Bella Sue grabs a cactus because that represents Arizona and hauls ass, and Gunboy makes awkward comments about her hair. Bonding! But then he gets her a pickup truck, which is wild-o.
First day of school and Bella Sue is very popular because Small Town and the boys are very tingly in the ballsacks if you catch my drift. Anna Kendrick asks her why she's white (YOU CAN'T JUST ASK PEOPLE WHY THEY'RE WHITE, KAREN!) and then promptly forgets she was in the movie.
INTRODUCING THE VAMPIRES! This is a vampire story, by the way. There's Himbo, Blonde Murderer, and they're dating/married. There's Bi Awakening and some constipated looking dude from the Confederate army, and they're dating/married (don't worry about it). There's Sparkles, of course, and they all walk into the cafeteria being Hot apparently. Sparkles stares at Bella Sue. This is to be a common theme.
Sparkles thinks Bella Sue stinks. No, like, literally, she stinks coz he wants to eat her and food smells etc. Bella Sue also has magic powers and Sparkles can't read her mind. He's like >:(=. Those are his fangs, btw. But then he goes away with his family to hunt animals and drink blood and comes back like :)=.
Bella Sue almost gets hit by a car but then Sparkles jumps in and pushes it away. He then gaslight gatekeeps girlbosses her, and googles adrenaline rush to explain it to her. AND GUESS WHO HEALS HER? IT'S SPARKLES'S DAD, AND MY ZADDY. He walks into the ER all blonde and gentle and competent. Oh and he's a vampire too and so is his wife but like his magic power is compassion and also he's learned to regulate himself around blood. And he's pretty. Zaddy.
He's so fucking pretty but then we have to go back to the Plot and some humans are being killed or whatever and Gunboy is takin' charge yo. Sparkles keep chasing after Bella Sue to tell her to stay away from him and finding her randomly to remind her to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY and then he stalks her in the night and has dinner with her after saving her from a gang to tell her to ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY. Also, he's like 110 years old. Whatever.
Oh and Sparkles breaks into her room to watch her sleep at night. It's super duper romantic. (No, trust me, once you see Wolfy in the later books, this will be super duper romantic). Then he takes her to abandoned clearings in woods to threaten to kill her and he tells her to SAY WHAT HE IS and she's like MOSQUITE LEECH VAMPIRE.
AND THEN HE SPARKLES! A LOT! And they go to the Cullens house and play baseball and Zaddy is looking absolutely lovely and welcomes them and even stands off some random vampires that show up. But one of them likey-likey's Bella Sue's blood.
Bella Sue is like lmao fuck you you're not a good dad to Gunboy to keep him safe or whatever and runs away with the Cullens to keep herself safe or whatever. Idk man Zaddy is just very pretty throughout.
And then there's a ballet place and Bella Sue goes there to get murdered coz she doesn't want to be a burden to the Cullens (homegirl never been so real). The Cullens get there and kill the vampire but then she's vampiring so Sparkles sucks the venom out and Zaddy heals her. Looking pretty. Blonde hair, golden eyes, etc.
And then Gunboy and Bella Sue's mum show up and she goes home and she's like SPARKLES TURN ME INTO A VAMPIRE TOO and he's like yo wtf no you'll be a monster (I think he's just pissed he sucked that venom out for nothing) and she's like SPARKLES PLEASE UWU and he's like UGH WE'LL SEE and they dance at prom but anyway there it ends. It should have ended with a shot of Zaddy but anyway.
*influence voice* Like and subscribe Like and reblog for a part II coz there are three more books/four more movies. Gotta get that education. Now I have the urge to make a youtube video. Garn. ANYWAY LOVE YOU ALL BYE MAGGOTS.
#weirdly specific but ok#twilight#twilight saga#the twilight saga#the cullens#charlie swan#carlisle cullen#daddy cullen#asmi#good omens mascot#maggots#twilight summary#twilight books#would this have been shorter if i hadn't been thirsty for carlisle#maybe but romeo and juliet would have been shorter without juliet ok#hamlet would be shorter without hamlet#you see my point?

Tomarry prompt: Accidental first kiss that neither one of them were expecting to happen.
There are things that everyone knows. The sky is blue, grass is green, Lockhart's a dick, the French are fucking annoying, etcetera and so forth.
Then there are things that everyone at Hogwarts knows, like the fact that Hagrid is more than a little insane about wild animals, and should be avoided by any persons who are less than ecstatic about creepy crawlies of larger than average size.
Or the fact that Riddle and Evans are always butting heads, but are also total freaks about each other, which is why they butt heads to begin with.
Quite frankly, it was a bit painfully obvious that their rivalry was rooted in a classic case of teenage hormones doing their, er, thing, but they themselves had yet to catch the memo. Unfortunate, truly, since it would probably only take a couple rounds of shoving their tongues down each other's throats to resolve all their conflicts.
But alas, some things were simply not to be, and so everyone resolved to having to endure the endless bitching and moaning of the school prodigies, never to be resolved by the hour of snogging Riddle and Evans so desperately needed.
;
"Oh holy shit," blurted out McTaggert. He and several other students were in the air, in between some casual matches of quidditch.
"Watch it, Taggy, not in front of the babies," said Carlisle playfully, much to the chagrin of her third year brother, and then, "What's happened?"
"Evans and Riddle just kissed."
"What?!"
Every single player halted what they were doing and snapped their attention to McTaggert, half convinced he was delusional. The school populace had long resigned itself to the understanding that Riddle and Evans would simply be dense for the rest of their school years, it was simply impossible that they would suddenly-
"Kiss? Riddle and Evans? Are you mad?"
"No way that's true, he's messing with us."
"You kid! Taggy, I fucking swear, you best be joking-"
"I'm not, honest!" he said defensively. "Look, you can see them running off right now- oh their faces are so fucking red, hah."
Everyone leaned forward on their brooms, squinting at where McTaggert was motioning.
"Oh shit, they are," said the elder Carlisle, with no small amount of glee. "Ah, to be young and innocent again, so flustered by a lil kissy kissy~"
"Oh, stop talking," whined Carlisle the younger. The pink-cheeked fourth years snickered.
"I think it's because it was an accident," mused McTaggert. "Honestly, it looked more like they tripped onto each other's faces than an intentional leaning in, if you will."
Carlisle guffawed at that, and Minyx, the sole sixth year Ravenclaw, quirked an eyebrow.
"Evans I can believe, but our ever so graceful Slytherin prodigy? Being so plebeian as to, what, stumble? I don't think Riddle's ever tripped on even his words, let alone his feet."
"Yes, well, I was the one who actually saw it happen, thanks, and I know what I was looking at," said McTaggert drily. "Perhaps if you lot were more aware of your surroundings, like a proper seeker-"
"Bring up our official matches and I'll beat you to death with my broom," interrupted Minyx.
The players then quickly and collectively devolved into a mostly unserious argument over house rivalries. Between all the noise and challenges, the matter of Riddle and Evans' little Schrodinger's kiss was soon forgotten in favor of defending quidditch honor.
From the beginning to the end, none of them had realized that Evans had ducked behind a pillar not too far away, red cheeked and wide eyed with a hand pressed against his lips.
What do you do when you know how a handsome boy's lips feel like?
#tomarry#tmrhp#harry potter#prompt#ficlet#please excuse any americanisms lol#also so sorry for the delayed response life has been rough#hope this is any good?

The Fight
Part Three
Summary: Jacobs injury throws everything off course
Warnings: injury, vampires, blood, medicine, swearing, violence
Word Count: 1.3k
A/N: part three!! Part four is currently in the works and should be posted by friday!
~~~~~~~~~~~
There were sounds.
Ones that I think will haunt me for the rest of my life. Ones I thought were something that you could only hear in the worst of nightmares. As I watched the vampire close its arms around Jacobs body I heard every single bone in him snap. Not like a twig in the grass but like rapid gunshots in a silent forest. A sound that cleaved my heart in two as I watched his body slowly shrink in size until he was lying on the ground naked and back in his human form, writhing in pain. I barely even registered the rest of the pack grabbing and disposing of the vampire behind Jacob. All I could manage to do was scream his name as I bolted for him.
The noises he was making were not even screams. There was so little left of him intact that he couldn't really form words. A sheen of sweat and grime was over his entire body. The man that usually towered over me was curled in on himself, looking like nothing more than an agonized young boy.
“Oh my god. Jake, Jacob, I'm right here okay? I'm right here!” His eyes were fluttering, only half open at most.
“Sam!” I screamed while never tearing my face from Jacob.
“Sam, we need to get him out of here!”
“God Jake, I'm so sorry! I'm so so sorry, I never should have said-” Sam and the pack along with Carlisle and the vampires ran over to me and Jacob.
“We need to get him back, I need to take care of him” I was babbling, not really coherent as I screamed at them all to get us out of there.
“You’re going to be fine Jake, we’ll get you home, okay? I'm so sorry Jake” Carlisle suddenly grabbed my shoulder and turned my body to face him.
“y/n you can't go with Jacob now.” I threw off his hand as the pack lifted a screaming Jacob into the air, everyone struggling to keep him still.
“I'm going with him. He's hurt, he needs me, I have to go with him Carlisle.” he grabbed my arm again and forced me to look at him.
“y/n listen to me, Jacob is going to be fine! I will get to him as soon as I can, I promise. But the Volturi are coming and if they see injured wolves they will kill them. If you leave with Jacob right now you sentence all of them to death! Do you understand me? They will die without you.”
I looked back at the two human boys lying on the ground. Boys I’ve known for their entire lives. Carlisle was right. I centered myself. Shook off the panic and fear that had its hold on me and wiped the tears from my face. Sam and the pack were still holding Jacob in the air, as I walked over to them they lowered him slightly so that I could see his face. I could tell that he was only barely conscious, his eyes starting to roll into the back of his head. I grabbed his face with both of my hands.
“Jake, Jacob look at me! You're going to be fine, okay? I’ll meet you there soon, I promise. I'm so sorry Jake, I love you, I love you so much okay?”
I released his head and the boys looked at me sympathetically. Sam nodded to me once before they ran off with Jacob. Every part of me was screaming to go with them. But I needed to focus, I needed to save these boys and get them out of here fast. Carlisle helped me as I rushed around the three boys left on the field. Two in human form, one as a wolf. The both of us were doing anything that we could but we were starting to run out of time. We knew that if the Volturi even scented them within a mile of here they would be killed. I had to move now or I would lose them all. Quill was the only one of the three able to walk, and thankfully was able to carry the one boy who wasn't conscious on his tall back.
“Carlisle i'll do my best to get them far from here but-”
“I know. I'll do everything I can to keep them away. And I swear the moment they leave I will go to Jacob. I won't let him be alone.” I nodded to him gratefully before turning to Quill and Paul on his back.
Hunter, the young boy who was still in human form clung onto me as I helped him up from the ground. His leg was broken but healing fast thanks to his wolf genetics. Even so, as I ushered the boys into the woods and began to lead them toward home it was clear that he wouldn't be able to make it far. None of them could. Not with the injuries they had sustained. We made it barely a mile before Quill collapsed, Paul tumbling to the ground from his back. I looked around desperately for any sign of how close we were to being back at the village, but for all I could tell we were still two miles off. Instead I began to search for shelter, for anything to hide us from view and hopefully from scent until the Volturi pass.
“Hunter, help me with Paul, we need to cover all of you with this.” Hunter dragged Paul over to me as best as he could, straight into the pit of mud that I had found.
If I couldn't get them far away then I just needed to hide their scents until we could move again. Slowly I covered all three of the boys and then myself in a layer of mud. For my human nose it was overwhelming so I could only pray that it did the trick for the vampires. Once we were all covered I dragged everyone behind anything that would work as cover and waited for them to pass. They got so close to us I could hear their whispering voices as they ran through the woods to the clearing. So close I could have sworn I smelled the expensive italian perfume on Aro’s body. I waited an hour after they passed to move the boys again, and this time I didn't stop until we were there.
It was dark outside when we finally made it to the familiar group of houses in the woods. Most of the pack was gathered outside of Billy’s house but they quickly extended arms to help when they saw us arrive.
“Jake, where is ja-”
just as I began to ask I heard his scream pierce through the air. I took off running from the edge of the woods, straight for the front door. Just before I reached it several strong and warm hands reached out and stopped me in place.
“y/n, no.” I struggled against them as I cried out.
“You need to let me in! Let me help him!”
“We can't, y/n/n, I'm sorry.”
“Please! Please! Let me go in!” I started to collapse against them as the screams continued, they lowered me onto the same step that I had waited just the night before.
“Let me in. let me in. please.” I sobbed as Sam came up and slung an arm around me with tears in his eyes.
“I promised him you wouldn't see this y/n, I’m sorry”
“Please. Please”
“I promised you wouldn't go in” I sat there sniffing and crying in his arms while Jacob screamed inside. Every scream tore a new fit from me. By the time we all realized that the screaming had stopped I was an incoherent mess, covered in mud and tears on the ground. Sam gripped my arm again.
“It stopped. y/n, listen! It stopped.”
Stupidity and Love Are the Same Thing
Warnings: None
Copyright: I do not own any Twilight characters or locations. I do own Davina Mikelson and Marcel. I also own the backstory for my OC. I do not condone any copying of this.
Carlisle and I sprinted back through the forest, hoping to get back to the main house before Bella and Edward returned. After all, if we truly were going to introduce Renesmee- and consequently Carlisle and my own kids- to Bella, then we wanted to be there to make sure they were safe.
Bella and Edward were just talking to Jacob- Leah and Seth were nearby. Quil was probably at La Push and I had no idea about Embry.
Carlisle and I went to join the others on the front porch. Rosalie was holding Renesmee while Marcel and Bree were farther back. Marcel had his arms full with Niklaus and Samuel who were squirming and Carlisle eagerly reached out for Niklaus, relieving Marcel of half his burden. Meanwhile, Bree was holding Caroline on her hip, who was watching everything in great excitement.
"I was out just two days?" Bella gasped in amazement, staring into Renesmee's face. I knew exactly how she felt- it was how I felt seeing my children after I'd gotten back from hunting with Carlisle. They grew so fast.
"Yes, that's her." Rosalie said.
Bella took a step forward.
Emmet and Jaz moved in front of her instantly, Edward gripping Bella's shoulders from behind. Esme stepped forward as well, right behind the boys whilst Rosalie backed up. Jacob moved in front of Renesmee and Rosalie, protectively. Marcel, Carlisle, and Bree also backed up, keeping my own children 'out of harms' way.
Only Alice and I didn't move, staying in our spots. Alice chided all of them saying, "Oh, give her some credit. She wasn't going to do anything. You'd want a closer look, too."
"I'm okay." Bella said, patting Edward's hands before adding on, "Keep close, though, just in case."
Jasper was far to tense, but Renesmee looked impatient, reaching out of Rosalie's arms for Bella.
"Jazz, Em, let us through. Bella's got this." Edward said.
"Edward, the risk-" Jaz started.
"Minimal. Listen, Jasper- on the hunt she caught the scent of some hikers who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. . ." Edward started.
Oh shit.
Carlisle and Marcel inhaled sharply at the same time. The others emotions with Bree and Esme to Em bear and Rosalie ranged from concerned to uncaring. I frowned slightly.
"Edward! How could you be so irresponsible!" Carlisle chastised.
"I know, Carlisle, I know. I was just plain stupid. I should have taken the time to make sure we were in a safe zone before I set her loose."
Like an animal. I nearly snorted while Edward shot me an annoyed look.
"Edward." Bella muttered.
"He's absolutely right to rebuke me, Bella. I made a huge mistake. The fact that you are stronger than anyone I've ever known doesn't change that." Edward said.
"Tasteful joke, Edward." Alice rolled her eyes. I was right with her.
"I wasn't making a joke. I was explaining to Jasper why I know Bella can handle this. It's not my fault everyone jumped to conclusions." Edward said.
"Wait. She didn't hunt the humans?" Jazzy asked in shock.
"She started to. She was entirely focused on the hunt."
"What happened?" Carlisle asked, his eyes bright, an amazed smile breaking out on his face. His lovely research expression. Oh we had so many things we could research later.
Edward leaned towards Carlisle and I felt that favoritism again though I notched my thoughts down. "She heard me behind her and reacted defensively. As soon as my pursuit broke into her concentration, she snapped right out of it. I've never seen anything to equal her. She realized at once what was happening, and then. . . she held her breath and ran away."
I had my own theories forming in my head and I thought about it carefully.
"Whoa. Seriously?" Emmett asked, more interested in the conversation than before.
"He's not telling it right. He left out the part where I growled at him." Bella muttered, sounding embarrassed.
But what if. . .
"Did ya get in a couple of good swipes?" Emmett asked, eager.
"No! Of course not!" Bella said, sounding surprised.
"No, not really? You really didn't attack him?"
"Emmett!"
"Aw, what a waste. And here you're probably the one person who could take him- since he can't get in your head to cheat- and you had a perfect excuse too. I've been dying to see how he'd do without that advantage."
I laughed.
"I would never." Bella said with a glare.
Jasper frowned.
"You see what I mean?" Edward asked Jasper.
"It's not natural." Jasper muttered.
Well maybe. . . .
"She could have turned on you- she's only hours old! Oh, we should have gone with you." Esme scolded, her hand to her heart. Marcel probably would've put an arm around her except Samuel was trying to jump out of his arms. Marcel groaned. I chuckled, reaching out and taking Samuel in my own.
"Edward, please?" Bella asked, looking at Renesmee.
Jasper didn't back down. I walked over, hooking an arm through his. "It's alright Jaz."
"Jazz, this isn't anything you've seen before. Trust me." Alice said quietly.
Jasper nodded, squeezing my hand before moving towards Bella, putting a hand on her shoulder, and walking with her as she moved towards Renesmee. And then, Renesmee let out a piercing cry that made everyone but myself and Bree swarmed around her. Even Carlisle, Edward, and Marcel were there, everyone trying to get a hand on her to make sure she was alright. I met eyes with Bree and smirked.
"What's the matter? Is she hurt? What happened?" Jacob's voice was loud.
"No, she's fine." Rosalie said, handing Renesmee over without a fight. I watched Bella's face shift from surprise to horror. I rolled my eyes again. "See? She just wants Bella." Rosalie continued as Renesmee put her hand on Jacob's cheek to show him what she wanted. Samuel scoffed in my arms quietly and I smiled down at him before kissing his forehead.
"She wants me?" Bella asked.
Edward was by Bella's side instantly, putting his hands on her shoulders again, urging Bella forward. "She's been waiting for you for almost three days."
"Jake- I'm fine." Bella reassured Jacob as he finally held Renesmee out. She closed the gap, taking the baby into her arms before she reached up to touch Bella's face. Bella gasped. The rest of us waited in silence. Samuel caught sight of Leah and I put him down on the ground. He sprinted across the grass without anyone but myself, Leah, and Seth noticing, leaping as Leah held out her arms to catch him.
I smiled. It was never what I was expecting when I thought about Leah imprinting on someone, but I was happy. I was glad there was no more pain between her and Sam. Leah was happy for probably the first time in a while and I couldn't be more than happy to have her as a daughter-in-law. And I've always loved Seth as a son.
I had missed a lot of the conversation and it was Carlisle's voice- talking to Edward- that brought me back.
"It's an interesting twist. Like she's doing the exact opposite of what you can do."
"Interesting. I wonder. . ." Edward drifted off.
I wondered was well- not about Renesmee and her power- but about Bella's extreme self-control. It wasn't unlike mine- even like Marcels. What if- just what if- someone was told ahead of time about the transformation? If they were prepared for a vampire life the way myself, Bella, and Marcel had been. Did it mean that their self control was better?
Or was my self-control simply for having my werewolf side balancing out the vampire side? Was Marcels' self-control nothing more than years of practice in the military? Was Bella's self-control nothing more than a gift?
"Haven't we experimented enough for one day? Okay, Bella's doing great, but let's not push it." Jacob's voice was higher pitched than it normally was. I ripped my gaze from Samuel and Leah to look at him.
"What is your problem, Jacob?" Bella demanded.
Caroline looked up in Bree's arms in interest.
"Just because I understand, it doesn't mean I won't throw you out, Jacob. Bella's doing extraordinarily well. Don't ruin the moment for her." Edward hissed.
"I'll help him toss you, dog. I owe you a good kick in the gut." Rosalie hissed.
"Edward! Rose!" I snapped angrily.
And then Bella finally realized what had happened. "No!"
Jasper's teeth clenched together and Edward wrapped his arms around her. I shifted on my feet.
Jacob backed down the stairs as Rose took the baby into her arms. I sighed, rolling my eyes.
The other vampires spread out on the porch while Bella and Jacob started to argue.
"You imprinted on my daughter!" Bella shrieked.
"It wasn't my choice!" Jacob shouted right back.
"She's a baby!"
"It's not like that! You think Edward would let me live if it was?" Jacob asked.
"Still debating." Edward said, leaning on the porch railing. Esme, Carlisle, and Marcel stood behind him.
"Edward." I gritted my teeth.
Alice and Jasper looked worried, standing together while Emmett looked amused, standing by Rose and Bree.
"I've held her one time! One time and you already think you have some moronic wolfy claim on her?" Bella shrieked, walking down the stairs to approach Jacob. "She's mine!" She punched him in the gut and he fell into the dirt.
So no one was going to try and stop her? Oh how bloody wonderful.
Edward was chuckling and Emmett was smiling. Seth and Leah turned into wolves. Samuel stood on his tiny feet, watching. Leah had shielded him with her body. I walked down one step, making careful moves so no one was watching me. Everyone was observing Bella and Jacob.
"Its fine, Leah." Jacob said as the wolves approached.
"You're gonna stay away from her."
"You know I can't do that."
She punched him again and he cried out, falling onto the ground again.
"Stop her, Edward." Esme said softly. "She'll be upset if she hurts him."
"He said it's fine." Edward muttered back. "She's amazing, right?"
I scoffed, having reached the bottom of the stairs.
Seth and Leah approached, growling at Bella. Someone was going to get hurt and as I didn't particularly like Bella as much as my other kids (parents say they don't have favorites- they lie) I was definitely going to protect Leah, Seth, and Jacob at all costs. Samuel shouldn't be in any danger though.
(And maybe the fact that I had favoritism made me a hypocrite with Carlisle for blaming things on his favoritism of Edward. But at least with me, I loved almost all of my kids).
"Do you remember how much you wanted to be around me three days ago?" Jacob asked desperately. That's gone now, right?"
"Long gone!"
"Because it was her. From the beginning, it was Nessie who wanted me there." Jacob said. I closed my eyes. Well damn, don't come up with a nickname like that!
"Nessie?" Bella shrieked. "You nickname my daughter after the Loch Ness monster?"
Bella went to lung for Jacob. So naturally, Seth went to lunge too, to protect Jacob. I knew immediately that with Seth launching himself, Caroline was going to want some action and I was right, as she teleported into mid-air to protect Seth.
I was there immediately, tackling Bella away from my daughter and future son-in-law and we rolled on the ground until I flung her away and she crashed into a tree. She landed, snarling at me before realizing what was happening. Edward, Emmett, Jasper, and Carlisle were there in seconds- Edward, Emmett, and Jasper by her; Carlisle holding me.
Jacob was there too and said, "Bella. You know me better than anyone. All I want for Ness. . . Renesmee to be safe, happy. Look. Nothing ever made sense before. You. . . me. . . any of it. And now I understand why. This was the reason."
I darted away from them, checking in on Seth, Caroline, Leah, and Samuel. "You guys alright?"
"Yep!" Caroline said cheerfully. Seth made a snorting noise, nudging her head with his.
"Caroline, don't do that again." I warned her. "That was incredibly dangerous. You could have gotten hurt!"
"So could have Seth!" Caroline argued with me. "I was trying to protect him!"
Seth whined, licking her gently. She giggled, reaching up to tangle her small fingers in his fur.
"Seth can protect himself and if he can't- I'll be there. Or Leah. But not you. You're not old enough okay? I don't want you to get hurt."
"Okay mom." Caroline pouted, which just made her look all the cuter.
I sighed. "Seth? Do you wanna maybe run along with her to La Push?" I made the slightest jerk of my head towards Bella and then looked at Leah. "I'll be along in a moment, I promise."
Seth nodded, lowering himself and Caroline situated herself on his back. "Maybe find Claire to play with her?" Leah nodded her wolf head while Samuel leaped onto her back and then they were gone.
-----------------------
Seth, Leah, Caroline, Samuel, and I returned from La Push, running fast through the forest. Caroline and Seth were racing, but Samuel was running alongside Leah calmly, without a care in the world. It was amazing, seeing how big they were starting to get. Samuel even seemed older than Caroline in some ways, looking more like he was going on three while she was looking about two.
I knew there was no way they were supposed to be running already, but their development was much faster than a normal humans. It was like one of those kids who go to college at eleven years old because they're just that smart.
They had also started reading much older books, moving through books I read in the third grade like The Boxcar Children, Hardy Boys, 39 Clues, and Rainbow Fairies (Caroline). I wouldn't be surprised if soon they started reading Percy Jackson and Harry Potter (not that I minded).
But as we ran, we came across the others. Basically everyone minus Edward, Bella, Rosalie, and Jacob.
"Hello darling." Carlisle said, grabbing me around the waist to kiss me.
"Daddy!" Caroline yelled, jumping into Carlisle's arms.
He chuckled, "Hello princess." He kissed her cheeks.
Samuel launched himself upwards and Carlisle took him in his arms next. Carlisle wrapped an arm around my waist as we headed back up to the house. Seth and Leah disappeared.
I looked up into the windows to see Edward and Bella holding Renesmee, Rosalie coming up behind them to take her.
It felt strange, watching Bella willingly hand Renesmee over to Rose like that. Bella seemed very lenient to let others take care of her daughter. I mean, yes, sometimes Rose, Esme, Bree, and Alice helped take care of my kids along with myself, Carlisle, Leah, and Seth, but for the most part, I took care of my children. And it was harder when you had three of them.
But Bella- and I knew she loved Renesmee very much- was more than willing to leave Renesmee at the house when she went out, to let others take care of her, and such. But I guessed maybe Bella just wasn't the parenting type.
I held Caroline's sleeping form closer to my body, looking down at her beautiful face. The button nose and the pouty lips. Her eyelashes curling, casting shadows across her cheeks. I smiled.
Alice tossed the doors open and we followed after her, starting with Jasper and ending with myself and Carlisle.
"Happy Birthday!" Alice said, making her way to stand before Bella and Edward.
"I stopped aging three days ago." Bella said with the slightest frown.
Carlisle and I came to a stop closer to the doors. I sat down in the chair, Carlisle darting to sit under me, holding me on his lap. Samuel and Caroline were both fast asleep, but Niklaus was sitting up in the chair opposite us, looking at one of the Jack and Annie books on the table, reading it.
"Well, we're celebrating anyway. So suck it up!" Alice said cheerfully before holding out the silver key with the red ribbon on it. I smirked.
Alice was then leading the two of them away so that they could enjoy Bella's 'birthday present'.
"How long do you think it'll take them to come back?" Emmett asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
I raised an eyebrow back, "I don't know. Why?"
"Want to make a bet on it Mama bear?" Emmett asked and I rolled my eyes. Carlisle sighed underneath me before standing, me in his arms.
"And now we're leaving." Carlisle said. I chuckled, slipping from his arms so I could take Caroline back into my arms. Carlisle got Samuel.
"Are you sure you want kids in the house?" Em bear continued and I glared at him.
"Emm bear, kindly stop talking." I said.
Emmett chuckled while the others rolled their eyes.
"We already know what mommy and daddy do at night." Niklaus said, not even looking up from his book.
I would've choked on something if it had been in my mouth. Carlisle looked rather like he was glad he couldn't blush.
"Oh really?" Emmett asked and Marcel knocked him on the head, sending Emmett to his back.
"Samuel can see through walls." Niklaus stated, still not looking up.
Everyone looked at Samuel who was fast asleep in Carlisle's arms. Carlisle and I locked eyes and I turned to Esme, "Esme? Don't suppose you could take care of the kids tonight?" I asked.
Now I realized just why Bella might be leaving her kids at the main house at night.
"Of course Davina." Esme said, shooting Emmett a glare, taking Samuel out of Carlisle's arms.
"I'll take Caroline!" Alice said, dancing back into the house, taking Caroline from my arms.
"Night Nik." I murmured, kissing the top of my sons head.
"Night mommy."
I smiled and then Carlisle and I darted out into the night, holding hands.
"Well that was interesting." Carlisle said lightly as he opened up the door, slamming it behind us.
"No kidding." I said with a shaky laugh and we both stopped at the sight of our bedroom. "Hmm. We forgot to clean up Carlisle."
Carlisle wrapped his arms around me, his fingers lightly brushing over my shoulders to start undressing me, "Well, we'll just have to wait till later to clean up."
"Agreed." I mumbled, pulling him down to kiss him more firmly. It would be a fun night tonight.
Twilight Scenarios- How you meet
Edward- It was your first day at Forks High School and so far, it hasn't been the greatest. As you walked down the hallway, someone bumped into you and sent your books flying to the floor. Blushing of embarrassment, you knelt down to pick them up when a pale hand did it for you. When you looked up, your (e/c) met honey gold eyes.
"Here you go" The handsome stranger said as he passed your books back to you.
"T-thanks" You stuttered, still blushing.
"I'm Edward, Edward Cullen," He said, holding his hand out. "What's you name?"
"I-i'm (y/n), (y/n) (y/l/n)" You replied. Your blush darkened, why did you have to stutter in front of a hot boy. As your hands touched, you couldn't help but notice how cold his hands were.
"It's nice to meet you (y/n), see you around" He said before walking off.
"Bye" You whispered as a watched him walk away. Maybe your first day of school wasn't so bad after all.
Bella- You had arrived at school with my family (the Cullen's) when you smelt an intoxicating scent come from the car park. The scent was strong, but not strong enough to make you want to harm the person the scent came from. You looked over to where the scent came from and you noticed it was from the new girl, Bella Swan. 'She must be my mate' You thought to yourself as you entered the school, smile now evident on your face. After all these years, you found your mate.
Time skip to lunch
You and your family walked to the canteen at lunch, waiting for the staring to begin. Bella noticed you through the window.
"Who are they?" You heard her ask Angela and Jessica.
"They're um...Dr. and Mrs. Cullen's foster kids. They moved down here from Alaska like, a few years ago." Jessica replied.
"They, kinda keep to themselves" Angela added quietly. We let Emmet and Rosalie go in first, just like every other day.
"Yeah 'cause they're all together, like TOGETHER together." Jessica said, as if disgusted. Alice and Jasper walked in after Rosalie and Emmett.
"Uh, the blonde girl, that's Rosalie, and the big dark-haired guy, Emmett, they're like a thing. I'm not even sure that's legal." Jessica said as they walked past their table.
"Jess, they're not actually related" Angela spoke up as Alice and Jasper walked past.
"Yeah, but they live together. It's weird, and - okay, the little dark-haired girl's Alice... she's REALLY weird, and, um, she's with Jasper, the blonde one who looks like he's in pain. Uh...Dr Cullen is like this...foster dad slash matchmaker." Jessica relied looking at Alice weirdly. You then walked in, bringing attention from both female and male.
"Who's she?" Your blood singer inquired as you walked past.
"That is (y/n) Cullen. She is totally gorgeous, obviously. Apparently nobody here is good enough for her." You smiled as you sat down, you knew exactly what she was talking about. "Like I care," Jessica scoffed. "Seriously right, don't waste your time."
"I wasn't planning on it." Bella replied, looking over to you, staring into your eyes. Seems like school just got a whole more interesting.
Sorry it was so long :(
Carlisle- 'Why am I so stupid?' You thought to yourself as you were wheeled into hospital. Your probably wondering what happened. Well, you thought it would be a great to do a flip on your bike at the skate park, but it didn't go the way you wanted to. Long story short, you slipped off you bike and landed on your leg, and judging my the pain, you broke it. Back to the story, you were being wheeled into A&E on a wheel chair as you look at you legs, embarrassed at you stupid mistake. A silk, sweet voice brought you back to reality .
"Hello. I'm Doctor Cullen," A handsome doctor said. "What's your name and why are you here?"
"I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N) and I broke my leg, Doctor" You answered, looking into his caramel coloured eyes.
"Alright, let's get you into x-ray and get you patched up," He said, looking into your (e/c). " Oh, and call me Carlisle."
Esme- It's been about 50 years since Carlisle had turned you and ever since then, you had been apart of the Olympic Coven. You had to admit, it is brilliant having such a lovely family, but you were so lonely. Carlisle has Lillian (an OC) and Edward has Bella (she was turned a year after Edward was turned), but you don't have anyone. Your beginning to believe you won't ever meet your blood singer. However, all of that changed in the year 1921... As you ran around the streets of Ashland, you smelt an intoxicating scent from a nearby hospital. Running faster than usual, you jumped through an open window and silently walked around until you found the room where the scent was coming form. Quietly opening the door, you walked over to the bed where a beautiful woman lay. To a human's ears or eyes, it would seem that she was dead, but due to you enhanced senses, you could still hear the faint heartbeat. Taking hold of her hand, you look into her past and saw the horrible things that had happened to her. (You have multiple gifts, one being able to look into anyone's past or future.) Gently shaking her awake, you could see her eyelids slightly open. As she looked at you, you saw the raw pain in her eyes.
"Hella," You said gently, not to scare her. "What's your name?"
"Esme." She replied, almost silently. She must of noticed how quiet her voice was because she attempted to speak again.
"Esme," You said, loving the way her name rolled off your tongue. "Would you like me to take away the pain, make you immortal?"
"Yes," She begged. "Please, take away the pain, please" You lent down to her neck, taking in her scent.
"I'm sorry." You mumbled, before sinking your fangs into her neck. Seeing that she was about to scream, you placed your hand over your hand over her mouth, preventing her from doing so. You took your fangs out quickly, knowing you would have lost control if you had carried on. Picking her up, you jumped back out of the window and set of home.
Are the Doppels a rival gang or bounty hunters coming after the guys?
i have to admit firstly that im not a huge doppels head. I am of course psychosexually obsessed with Gwen, she occupies my every thought, i literally carry her picture in my phone case but as far as the others... i tend not to give them too much thought.
that being said!
(note: as i was writing this I realized i was calling him Davy because shortening raggedy andy to just andy is too confusing but then i was like well what would they shorten it to? and I think they would call him Dee <3)
I think Dee makes the most sense with this right? they could send other version of his model after him which would be sick and twisted. I really like the idea of them trying to appeal to him by being like, they can never understand you like we do, they're flesh, they're weak. you're just like us, come back with us." and Dee being like "oh? that's interesting." and the guys having to be like, that is the most textbook sinister and evil thing to say, do not listen to them. and Dee being like "okay got it" *thumbs up* <- they just taught him to do this
As far of the rest of them... its interesting I do like the idea of BLI developing evil version of people but its sort of important to me that the guys are not particularly important until Dee comes about, its very much like the fab four and the girl, where they want her and the guys get in the way. So I think that this is a thing that can happen but happens later. My problem is I can't really think of how they would end up being reflective of the boy's respective personalities, Babyface makes sense, he's sort of just evil Micky but Why would they make evil Mike a girl and a princess. That would be really funny.
I've thought a little more about it. I think it sort of plays into their fear and insecurities.
Shorty is worried about being mean and a tyrannical leader of their ragtag gang. I think for a long time he insists that he be in charge, despite it very obviously coming to Carlisle a lot more naturally and make them do his plans which very frequently end up in messes. He also freaks out and can't make decisions in tough spots, so Carlisle will take over when he shuts down. Eventually there is an unofficial transfer of power where Carlisle ends up calling the shots and Shorty realizes this is a lot less stressful. Anyway! He is really insecure about this. So. Babyface being the leader of the doppelgang and being this harsh commander really gets to him.
Princess Gwen -> Girl. Carlisle Wheeling -> whatttt could this POSSIBLY mean? for him? insecure? noooooo. surely not. (i don't have time to get into this. i have too much to say).
Alexei? God. I need to re-watch the card carrying red shoes. I mean I know he's like, just sort of the button joke at the end, and I don't really know what his like fanon personality is. He's uptight and serious though, everything Love is not, and I think he's kind of a coldblooded killer. I think Love is like, it doesn't bother me. I don't care. He isn't me, I'm not him, they built him to upset me. And then, he sees that Alexei is deeply important to the team, and productive, and USEFUL. and he is so insecure about being this extraneous hanger who can't help because he won't fire a blaster and this is what bothers him (this of course was BLI's ploy the whole time)
#sorrrry im not a big doppels guy but this was fun <3#the monkees#killjoys#the true lives of the pre-fab killjoys
Dec 14 - Tell us about an OC you like, either your own or someone else's. Include a drawing, moodboard, or playlist if you'd like to!
🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
This is based off this Rosamund Pike video and features my OC Sarah. This is an AU where the canon book events don't happen and I'm modifying how pregnancy with a vampire-human hybrid works.
...
Summer 2005
Sarah was convinced that God was making fun of her. That really was the only explanation for the way her life had turned out. Her little sister Sami had gotten leukemia as a kid and she had been a perfect match for a bone marrow transplant, which had led her down a path to studying the pathology of blood disorders as an adult. Then she became infatuated with a man who turned out to be a vampire – which should have scared her more than it did in the beginning, really what the hell was wrong with her – and now she was carrying his half-vampire baby. And if that wasn’t enough, a big side effect of vampire pregnancy was violent dreams about drinking blood, courtesy of intense blood cravings.
Yes. God was definitely making fun of her.
But at least for now, the blood cravings were in check. What she craved now was something decidedly more normal – pineapple. Fresh pineapple from the whole fruit, not the canned variety. Esme had gone to the grocery store to get some for her and she was currently distracting herself from the craving by playing Pokémon on Emmett’s old Game Boy Color. She’d gone from being very busy with her fellowship to having a lot of time on her hands. She’d tried various hobbies and the Cullens weren’t lacking in options, but Pokémon and other video games ended up being the one that absorbed her the most and kept the anxiety at bay.
There was no shortage of things to be anxious about – the fact that she couldn’t go out in public on the off chance someone recognized her as a missing person, whether Mark would eventually find her, what her family was doing, whether she’d even live through the delivery…
Everything was proceeding as normally as possible for twenty-four weeks and Carlisle was hopeful about the plan when the time came, but Sarah could not stop the intrusive thought.
Before she could ruminate further on it, Esme returned carrying grocery bags. Sarah hastily saved her game and turned it off. Her eyes zeroed in on the bag that had the distinctive pineapple leaves sticking out. “You are a lifesaver, Esme.”
In the kitchen, Esme got out a knife and cutting board, but Sarah shook her head. “My brother Shawn had a way to open a pineapple without using a knife and I want to try it.”
Esme raised her eyebrows. “Oh, well, this I have to see.”
Sarah sat on a stool at the island and held up the pineapple. “He could get out the base here and then he’d pull off the segments.” She pressed her thumb to start digging out the base and found there was barely any give and it made her thumbnail hurt.
Esme watched her struggle for a moment. “Do you need help?”
“No, no, I got this,” Sarah said. “I think.” Finally, she felt some give and she saw yellow. “Okay, now we’re getting somewhere.”
“Where did Shawn learn this trick?” Esme asked.
“College.”
“That explains a lot.”
Sarah continued working on loosening the base and remembered what Shawn called it. “I’m trying very hard not to call this a butt plug.” At Esme’s incredulous face, she added, “That’s what Shawn called it. It made my mom smack him on the back of his head. But in his defense, it’s at the base of the fruit and it’s basically like a plug.”
“I have a feeling that Shawn and Emmett would get along well,” Esme said.
“Honestly, yeah, they would.” She almost had the whole thing separated and juice was dripping down her wrist. That was not helping with not making more dirty jokes. “Although if Shawn were here, he’d probably just be one more person to irritate Edward.”
“Why is that?”
“Besides his mind living in the gutter, he also has a know-it-all tendency that would clash with Edward’s.”
“Ah.”
With a last crack, the pineapple base came loose. “Yes!” Sarah tossed it on the counter. “Now to break off these segments into chunks.” It was considerably easier to break them off than digging out the base. She held one up in triumph. “Look at that!”
Esme just laughed.
Sarah ate the chunk and it was like she’d never had a better pineapple. She broke off another, a deep sense of satisfaction kicking in. “Is this what it feels like to hunt down your food?”
“Something like that, yes.”
“I went to a lot of effort for this, so I better not be puking pineapple later. Do you hear me, peanut?” Sarah said, poking her baby bump. She got a light kick in response which she took as agreement. “Good girl.” Another side effect was a nasty case of hyperemesis gravidarum and she had joked to Carlisle that it made her feel like the patron saint of emesis. At least that had calmed down since she began to drink blood, but it still flared up. But as Sarah kept eating her fill, there was no sign of impending nausea.
“That sounded like a mom voice,” Esme said.
Sarah sighed. “Gotta practice it, right?”
The front door opened then and Carlisle’s voice called out a greeting.
“We’re in here!” Esme called. Carlisle appeared a second later, still dressed in his lab coat. Sarah waved at him with the pineapple as Esme asked him how work was.
“About the usual.” He eyed pineapple. “It looks like you two have been busy.”
“Yep. Here.” Esme handed Carlisle the pineapple base and Sarah could barely hold back a laugh.
Carlisle shot Sarah a wary look. “Er…thanks?”
“It’s a pineapple butt plug,” Esme said and she and Sarah dissolved further into a laughing fit.
Carlisle blinked. “Clearly I missed a lot.”
Chapter Five, Graduates
(Alice x Reader x Jasper)
[four] [five] [six]
I stood beside Jasper and Carlisle watching the news. Jasper's hand was on my side keeping me close to him.
"Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances." The female reporter says to the camera. I leaned in closer to my boyfriend who was extremely concerned with what's going on. I knew why so I tried to comfort him in a subtle way. "Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live, Dawn Chubai, CNN." She ends the report.
"It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something." Carlisle speaks after turning the tv off, facing the others.
"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting. Quite a few more. They're undisciplined, conspicuous..." Jasper sighs, gripping me tired. I know he's thinking back to Maria.
"Newborns." Edward says aloud earning my sister's attention. "What, like new vampires?" She questions.
"In their first few months after the change." He says. "That's when we're at our most uncontrollable, vicious, insane with thirst." Jasper explains why it's so worrying. "Something to look forward to." Emmett picks at Bella.
"No one has trained these newborns, but this isn't random." My lover continues. "Someone's creating an army." Carlisle adds in, Jasper nods his head. Emmett smirks at this, getting excited. "Oh, now we're definitely going to Seattle." He says.
"An army of vampires?" Bella asks. "And they've been created to fight someone." Jasper sighs out.
"We're the only clan even close to Seattle." Edward points out to everyone. "Regardless of who they were. If we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they've let it go on this long." Carlisle irritably tells us.
"Maybe they're behind it. In Italy. I read Aro's mind. He wants me and Alice to join him... Our gifts would shore up his power. Even [Name] would be a plus for him." Edward looks at me and I tense up, I feel Jasper try to calm my emotions. Greatly appreciated as I don't want to think about Aro and the rest of the Volturi I know would kill me if they had the chance.
"He knows we'd never choose him as long as our family is alive. An army could solve that for him."
I look over to my older sister who speaks up, "We can't wait two weeks for graduation; you need to change me now-"
"You'd be a liability as a newborn. Unable to control your instincts. An easy target." Jasper disagrees with Bella. "[Name] didn't go through that, though. What if I'm like her since I'm her sister." She points out but then Carlisle steps in and puts a hand on her shoulder.
"[Name] had the hybrid blood in her veins. She progressed so fast we knew she was different after the first three days. We don't know that for sure with you. Plus there's also your father to consider. And your mother. How terrible would it be for them if you suddenly disappeared?" He questions her, she knows she can't argue this, this time. Her shoulders slump in defeat.
"Hey did you eat dinner yet?" Bella asks Charlie, we walk into the kitchen after putting our stuff down at the table where he was reading a flier for a missing boy. "Um... no, I haven't." He answers. I watch Bella look over his shoulder, seeing the flier.
"This kid Riley Biers disappeared over a year ago and his poor parents have been papering Seattle with these things ever since." He expresses in a rough tone.
"You think they should just give up?" Bella looks at him, he glances between the both of us. "I wouldn't If it were either of you two. Not ever." He pulls us into a hug. After a small beat of silence he releases us. Taking a breath to cover up the fact that he was getting emotional over a case.
"So, one large, extra cheese?" He asks us, switching the subject. "And cheese bread. I know [Name]." He says before I even speak. I nod my head dramatically, kissing his cheek before I walk away, yelling a small thank you.
The next few days I've been getting ready for graduation. Actually doing my work.
Everything that happened this year the teachers were super lenient with me thinking I got major surgery.
I'm grateful for it. I know that technically I don't have to be worrying about this. I'm immortal. I'll be able to go to high school again and it will get easier and easier but this was my life at one point.
The only thing I'm sad about is the fact I had to give up my sports. I sigh, leaning back on my bed and closing my eyes after studying this bull crap.
I feel two dips in my bed and I open one eye to see Alice and Jasper looking over my homework.
"Gosh, this stuff is easy." Jasper hums out, putting the book back down. I open both eyes this time to glare at him. "You have years of practice, I don't want to hear it." I fold my arms, he snickers. Alice moves the stuff out of the way and climbs into my arms.
"We could always help you, you know." She offers, forcing me to put my arms around her. Now playing with my hand. Jasper sits on the other side of me. "You could but that feels like cheating." I lay my head on Jasper's shoulder.
"It would be but you'd also pass your tests faster." She sings quietly. I smile down at her, shaking my head.
"Not happening." I kiss the top of her head.
"Bella also told me that you two invited the wolves to the party." I bring up suddenly, she makes a noise I've never heard before and she shoots up from my arms.
"She begged me to do that. It was practically against my will." She rants, clearly upset by the decision she had to make to make my sister and her brother happy.
"I mean are they really that bad? The wolves?" I look at her, sort of looking back to Jasper. I knew he could tell what I was feeling. "What do you mean?" She tilts her head.
"I am a part of them, I can turn into one. I'm just worried that one day I'll change my mind and want to try out my wolf form and then you guys won't be happy with it. Or I don't know, it's childish but leave me I guess." I overly explain, feeling stupid once it comes out of my mouth. I avoid eye contact with Alice now.
Mentally cursing at myself.
"We'd still love you, [Name]. We love that you promised us to not turn but we'd never truly want to hold you back from what you wanted to do with your abilities and self-being." Alice grins at me, almost laughing, probably at how silly and stupid I sounded.
"Exactly, we've made some mistakes in the past with choosing things for you but we know that being a hybrid is something you didn't choose. Even being a vampire wasn't your choice." Jasper chimes in, pulling me into an embrace, forcing me into a lazy kiss. Alice then grabs my face and kisses me as well.
We weren't going to do anything else. My dad was in the other room. That also wasn't the only thing that stopped us. The three of us heard Jacob's truck pull up and one of the doors slam. Edward also pulled up.
We looked at each other. "Stay here." I tell them, rushing out of my room and outside.
"Not here, Edward. Please." Bella pleads with the vampire. "If you ever touch her against her will again." He points in Jacob's face but my sister is blocking him.
My eyebrows furrow hearing this. "Don't do this." Bella begs.
"She's not sure what she wants." Jacob stands straighter.
"Well, let me give you a clue. Wait for her to say the words." Edward holds onto Bella.
"Fine. And she will." Jacob glares at him. "Jacob. Just go, okay?" My sister tells the wolf. I get closer, they obviously don't know I was there, or they did and just didn't care. The two are practically facing off with one another.
The front door opens and Charlie gets down the steps. "Hey, hey, hey, hey... Easy guys. Let's take it down a notch. Alright? What's going on?" My dad questions the scene in front of him.
"I kissed Bella. And she broke her hand... Punching my face." Jacob explains. My eyes widen and I move without even realizing it.
Punching him in the jaw myself. Everyone gasps around me. Jacob actually holds his face as I look at him in disgust.
"The audacity you fucking have is astounding Jacob. " I shove him back to his truck. Not enough to show off a supernatural strength but the anger I feel of him just doing that to Bella without her consent sickens me.
After he leaves I turn back to the house. Bella was hiding her face into Edwards chest who was trying not to laugh. My dad looked shocked.
I sigh, shrugging my shoulders. "Carlisle should check that out, Bella." I point to her, Edward nods in agreement.
"Total misunderstanding, it's just a sprain. Should heal fairly quickly." The doctor of the family tells my sister. "Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again, Bella?" Emmett teases her since she's so clumsy and practically known for it by everybody now.
"I punched a werewolf in the face." She corrects him. "Bad ass... You're going to be one tough little newborn." He grins.
"Tough enough to take you on." Bella smirks, Emmett goes to laugh but Rosalie slaps down the newspaper she was holding and storms out. Scowling towards Bella.
"Don't worry about it." Emmett shrugs it off.
"Okay, any leads?" Edward questions, switching the attention to something more dire.
"No sign of the intruder. But Victoria continues to make appearances." Jasper says. "But it seems to be only when [Name] isn't with any of us." He adds.
"She's toying with us. Keeping us distracted." Carlisle tells us.
"From Seattle?" Emmett tilts his head. "The intruder or something else." I speak up. "Alice can keep tracking her decisions but we have to track her on the ground." Edward says.
"We're having Alice watch a lot, I think I should take over some." I tell them. Jasper rubs my side as they look at me.
"I mean it has to be a lot for her. She hasn't said anything but Jesus, Aro, Charlie, Bella, and Victoria is a lot of information to cover and watch." I stand up for my girlfriend.
"Taking her energy is better?" Edward asks me. "I don't have to take her energy to take over her power." I cross my arms.
"[Name] your power lasts ten minutes, how would you be able to watch anyone?" Carlisle quizzes, not in a condescending way but genuinely just wanting to know.
I pause, glancing over at Jasper who nods his head for me to continue. "I've been practicing, Jasper has been helping me because I've spoken to him about it. I can do it for days now. And now I can basically copy your power without fully taking it. It's a lot but I can do it." I explain, begging for them to see my point in taking over for Alice.
At least taking over to watch over Charlie and Aro. Edward and Carlisle look at each other. "You need to make sure Alice is okay with it. You're also right, we didn't realize how much we put on her to watch." The father figure of the Cullen's tells me with a weak smile.
I let out a satisfied breath, squeezing onto Jasper without even realizing it.
"What ground have we covered?" Edward changes the subject once again.
"We've already covered the entire southern peninsula down to Quinault." Jasper answers.
"We'll search the northwestern trail." Edward says to Carlisle and Emmett. I didn't even notice that my sister left the room and was talking to Rosalie.
I looked out on the deck. I heard bits of their conversation so I tried to focus elsewhere. Already knowing Rosalie's tragic background I didn't want to eavesdrop on it.
Jasper kisses my jaw, I turn to him and he smiles. His dimple formed causing me to melt. It was one of my favorite features of his. We sat there in silence after everyone had left the living room. It was comfortable, finally having a moment away from all the hectic stuff.
Knowing it wasn't going to last much longer.
"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up..." Jessica talks to the students of Forks high school, plus the teachers and families that joined.
"Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, princess." She smiles from her own words. I lean onto my older sister listening to Jessica's speech,
"When we were ten, they asked again and we answered rock star, cowboy or in my case, gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this: who the hell knows?!" She giggles as people holler from the audience.
Bella's shoulders were tense, I took her hand in mine when I noticed and she gave me a small smile.
"This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions, it's the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere chilly. Fall in love- a lot.Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind. Then change it again, because nothing is permanent..." Jessica continues to do her speech, the words hit in ways I know as a human would be special.
Goosebumps would've crawled all over my skin but knowing that in a few decades everyone around me will be gone as I stand here. Never growing old it just doesn't feel the same. Knowing that my sister beside me has the choice to stay human I just wish she would.
But I also know she wants to be with her love. I couldn't stop her from that.
"I'm so proud of you two girls, I can't wait to see what you both do next. You're my biggest accomplishments." He has us on either side, arm wrapped on each daughter.
"Dad, that's not true." Bella disagrees.
"Yeah, it is. And it's.. well you'll see when you have kids." He shrugs it off. I frown knowing that Bella nor I will be giving him grandchildren.
At the Cullen house I stand with Bella. Jasper, Carlisle Emmett and Edward are in a deep conversation about what's going on with Seattle. My sister begins to walk over there but Jessica and Angela swoop in and grab us. Taking us the opposite way.
"You both made it." Angela grins. "Well, I am the girlfriend of the girl who's hosting." I point out, Angela laughs nodding. "Right, sorry."
"Hey. What'd you think of my speech? Too easy-breezy, too self-helpful? You may admit it." Jessica questions mainly to Bella.
"No, you pretty much nailed it." My sister shakes her head. "Yeah? It's like I was born to lead, right?" Jessica grins, proud of herself.
"Oh, great. I love this song, let's go." Angela pulls us to the dance floor where Eric and Mike join us. They do a stupid robot dance battle as the girls laugh.
I just stay beside Angela, both of us jumping and doing basic moves. I noticed Bella leave when Jacob came into the house. I didn't have to look because his smell is so distinct.
I think Angela saw I was a little distracted so she grabbed my hands and had us face each other. Forcing me to follow her lead.
The lighting was a little darker now and it was as if all I could see was her. "You're a good dancer!" She says over the music.
"I'm barely trying, you're keeping me going!" I laugh. I quickly fixed the wife beater I was wearing.
Alice dressed me in a dressy suit earlier and the jacket was too tight since she got it fitted before I turned into a hybrid. I still wore the dress pants though.
"Nonsense! I feel like you're leading me!" She huffs out, I saw her eyes trail to my arms and I snicker to myself, reminding me of Alice.
"You give me too much credit." I shake my head, starting to feel sweat drip down my forehead.
Going into the next song, Jessica joins in causing Mike and Eric to do the same. Angela sticks beside me though. That was until I got dragged away abruptly.
"Oh!- I'll be back!" I say once I realize that it's Alice. "She might not." My girlfriend disagrees. I furrow my eyebrows now worried that something happened.
We go by the staircase, Jasper already standing there. "What's going on? Everything okay?" I worriedly asked. Jasper was laughing but Alice looked a little angry?
"Babe?" I look down at her, she now had her arms crossed in front of her. "Am I missing something? Did I do something?" I question, confused by why she would be mad. Jasper went to speak up but Alice groaned.
"Your little friend was all over you, [Name]. God how could you not see that?" She asks me in an irritated tone. I tilt my head. "I mean we were just dancing..." I fail to agree with her.
"Are you that oblivious?" She scrunches her face in disbelief. "Why are you jealous, my love?" I ask her, pulling her into my arms.
"I'm not jealous, she was just eyeing something that's mine." Alice avoids eye contact with me as I hold her hips. "Mhm, I didn't know I was property." I chuckle lowly.
I see Alice look over on the dance floor then grab my face and kiss me. It surprised me but I kissed her back. When she let me go I looked over to where she was and Angela quickly looked away.
I shake my head laughing. "I've never seen you jealous before." I try to calm my laughter. Jasper doing the same thing.
The only thing that did was when Alice grew frozen and was having vision. I held onto her. I heard Bella behind me just as Alice came out of it.
"Alice, what did you see?" My sister asks.
"Okay, something is going on. Tell me." Jacob says. Bella got in between Alice and I. I stand beside Jasper.
Watching Jacob intently. I haven't seen him since I punched him in the jaw, something that already healed.
"I need to talk to Jasper and [Name]." She quietly says but then Jacob puts an arm against the wall, blocking her from getting to us.
"Why don't you talk to me?" The wolf angrily asks.
Both Jasper and I get in front of him.
"I suggest you remove your arm. Before I do." Jasper says, we glare at him. He makes the smart decision and backs away from our girlfriend.
"The decision's been made." Alice speaks.
"What's going on? You're not going to Seattle?" Bella quizzes.
"No, they're coming here." Alice looks up to Jasper and I.
Our faces drop.
