so like. how bad is The Economy. i know some of you are Economy Understanders. can you explain it to me not necessarily like i'm 5 but like i'm a medium stupid adult with zero practical or theoretical knowledge of economics. i don't know what the line on the stock market graph represents and i don't actually understand what "stocks" are in the abstract

#like i know we won't have non-seasonal produce in the winter #and there's going to be a domestic agricultural crisis for a confluence of reasons too so that means food shortages in the long term #and clothes are going to get more expensive and shittier quality #and cars are going to get less attainable / there's going to be a manufacturing crisis automotive wise too #which will fuck ppl over bc we won't invest in transit infrastructure either and so much of the country is car-dependent #is it going to be like 90s russia or like Now Russia or like something else #oh and the housing crisis is going to get Insane. oh my gd what is going to happen with fucking. real estate #yeah i was alive in 2008 but is this going to be worse or the same or are we talking hoovervilles here
