11.) give a general summary of the plot/world/characters.

After the tragic destruction of their original world (that they caused on purpose), a powerful figure who refers to themself as the narrator has taken it upon themself to create a new world. In order to do this, they create thousands upon millions of worlds, until finally landing on the one they are satisfied with. Creating their vessel out of their old body, they set up this new world to begin their newest project. Using the leftovers from creating said vessel, they create a being to erase all the other worlds that went unused, and among those who had found ways to escape from their original worlds, this force became known as the blank. One figure in particular took it upon themself to find a way to rid of the blank once and for all, no matter the cost.

As for the actual plot, it's kind of two plots that intertwine at certain points. Both have the same general set up though, a group of teenagers (+ two children) find themselves lost in this fucked up greyscale place that seems all too desperate to keep them alive, filled with figures that either are unhelpful, actively dangerous, or both. While there doesn't seem to be an immediate threat at first, given the place having seemingly endless supplies, both groups quickly find themselves watching the cracks in their world and themselves begin to finally cave in on themselves.

13.) how long have you been working on this project? what has changed from the outset?

Oh god I wanna say like. Almost 5 years at this point? And hoooo boy has a LOT changed. For the first couple years the general skeleton stayed the same for the most part, but after I decided to fully reboot it almost everything abt the original either fully went out the window or was Heavily reworked. The biggest change I made as far as the actual structure of the plot however was making the human kids actual main characters, and by extent splitting this story into two intertwined plots instead of one continuous one. Originally the human kids were more like spectators on the staliens story, having already gone through most of their plot and were at this point just desperately meddling in the hopes that itd help fix anything on their half. This ended up changing before the full reboot as I came up with more for them and they became more of actual perspectives instead of just vaguely present spectators, and by the time I did the proper reboot Dodie had been made, which made it basically necessary to rework their roles in the story as Dodie was way WAY too important to not be a main perspective

20.) your ocverse just got a movie trilogy a la hunger games style. how have they horribly mangled your message/theme so that the movies are now a showcase of what the original was condemning?

Well obviously itd become a romance and thatd just fuck over Everything but aside from that, I also just feel like it would just become too much abt the world ending shit and the fights, too much abt the action. The reason eternal gales is so god damn long in the first place is that it's ultimately abt the personal, the everyday lives of these characters, how each of them are handling these situations and how it effects their relationships and general mental state. No movie, no matter how long, could rly capture the vibe I wanna go for with eternal gales, and itd just leave it feeling empty and hollow I think
