The stone lighthouse of Ogijima island will designated as a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. Ogijima is famous for its role in the movie “Yorokobi mo kanashimi mo ikutoshitsuki (happiness and sadness for many years)”about a lighthouse keeper and his family who lived on the island. Recently, there is a campaign to make Ogijima famous for narcissus. The island of Ogijima is a 40-minute ferry ride from Takamatsu Port. One thing that often surprises visitors when they first arrive at Ogijima Harbor is the sight of the various settlements piled along the island’s mountainous slopes. プラスチック製の蛸壺（タコツボ）の中に焼き物の蛸壺。割れるとプラスチック製に入れ替わっていくので貴重な存在。 Octopus pots at Ogishima island of Seto Inland Sea, Japan. I went to the Fujiwara octopus pot factory at Nabeya, Utazu town, Kagawa pref., Japan. I heard the story of octopus pots which are used at Seto Inland Sea from archaeologist Mr. Shinya Norimatsu. Mr. Fujiwara’s octopus pots are used Nogutsuna island, Tsuwaji island and so on which are located at Ehime pref., west side of Seto Inland Sea. The octopus pots are made from clay of Yoshioka, Marugame city, Kagawa pref..
