Landon nodded moving to get the other a beer, only after did he consider he should have asked for ID. It wasn't like it mattered in limbo how old you were. "Oh, yeah. Freya was looking for some new people. Not sure if she found enough," he said. "She will be back later if you want to ask her about it," he offered. It wasn't like it was his place to talk about it.

Levi watched the interaction take place next tok him before the batman's attention was brought back to Levi. He smiled a little before looking over the choices on offer and leaning on the bar before finally speaking. "Can I get a beer please" he said simply, his hand already slipping into his pocket expecting to be questioned for his age. Glancing back to the location the other person was, he glanced back to the bartender. "Is there a job going here?" he wondered

After returning back downstairs post-shower, Briggs hadn't hesitated to jump in and help his momma take care of the wounded coming in to the compound in droves. If he had capacity left for hoping, it might have given him some to see the species all coming together to help. He even saw a human doctor in here, though he wasn't exactly sure how he felt about that yet.

Finally, he collapsed near one of the couches. Just for a second. He'd never called upon this much power, not by himself, then again, he'd never had access to this much either. His eyes fell closed, head lolling back. He wasn't sure how long he was out before he jolted, muttering quickly, "I'm awake."

Glancing up, his eyes found Levi. "'Sup?" He muttered, "...we survived, just like you said." Pushing himself up, he winced a little, more fully aware of the lingering pain as the adrenaline wore off. "You alright?"

Aside from Lucas, Nicolette knew that her kids were avoiding her and honestly, she couldn't fault them for it. It wasn't every day your dead mom comes back and ends up outed to be a vampire at an event designed to cull the supernatural. The last thing that she wanted though was for them to fear her. Their anger she could accept, but being feared felt like a fate worse than death.

Now as she arrived at her sister's home, mere minutes after exiting the car, the front door had already started to open as Nic called out "I thought maybe we could -- talk?"

Running across the French Quarter at the sight of him alive and well, Marni took a leap, knowing he'd catch her. It wasn't until she was mid-air she realized she needed to be more careful. With Jesse back, it was only a matter of time before the truth made its way through their family. Suddenly, it was like a countdown clock had been started.

"Are you okay?" She murmured, as she wrapped her arms tightly around him, "you're not hurt? I was so worried."

There was an unreadable look on her face. "It feels like hell....even worse when people think you don't have feelings." Nova gave a thumbs up. There was a twinkle in her eye. "Ohhhhhh fancy." Nova said with a smile. There was a thoughtful look. "Maybe gastroenteretis can get you off for a few days. It can happen suddenly and it can give you a reason to stay home for a few days." Nova said. "What do you think?"

A sigh passed his lips. "You know I'm not gonna be like that... I know what it's like to give pieces of yourself and never get things back.." he admitted. "It's okay.." he raised a hand to assure her an apology wasn't needed. "Well I was gonna try and take Marn away for a few nights... and I don't think work would like it too much.." he admitted with a chuckle.

Briggs wasn't about to touch anything the OEA was offering tonight, so he made sure to sneak some stuff of his own in to take the edge off the evening. Hopping up on the bathroom sink, he took a much needed break from the party to think, to have a plan if this all went south. He was taking advantage of the peace and quiet while it lasted.

The joint between his lips, he was reaching for his lighter when the door opened. Lips upturned in a smirk, a mischievous and boyish glint in his eyes, he mumbled an invitation, "party favor?"

Nicolette would be forever grateful to Marni for the gentle guiding hand that she had in leading Levi home, in encouraging his forgiveness when she herself had been unable to do so. She understood that forgiveness was a lot to ask and it wasn’t an expectation that she had – but he was her son and she had missed so much of his life, she couldn’t bear the thought of missing anymore. 

Calling out for them to come inside, Nic hurried through the apartment towards the pair with a welcoming smile and her heart ached as she wanted nothing more than to reach out for them both, but she had to remind herself that baby steps were necessary. 

“Hi” she breathed, relief etched into her tone before laughter eased from her lips as she teased, “only the best for you, of course” and gestured for them both to follow her into the kitchen. The vampire had spent the majority of the morning stress baking and so the room was filled with various scents as she turned to reveal the elaborate spread across the counters, "sorry -- I hope you're both hungry. Nervous habit." It dawned on her that she didn't even know her own sons favourite pastries, so she kind of did them all to cover every base. "Come on, help yourselves and get comfortable. I'll grab the wine" she hummed before pausing for a moment to look at them both "I'm so glad that you're both here" and mouthing a soft and discreet 'thank you' towards Marni.

Marni had kept on to Levi to see his mom more and although he was struggling to completely forgive her, spending time with her more seemed to be making it easier. It was like he was trying to build a fresh relationship with his mom, trying to forget the past and all the hatred he had built up and move forward. And Lucas also seemed to think letting go of the past was better than not.

He had Marni to thank and after she explained to him how much she enjoyed spending time with Nic, he decided why not. Surely it was worth it to try and build a relationship with his mom and also keeping Marni happy. After all she deserved to be happy. and she kept telling Levi so did he.

He inhaled softly as he watched the path towards his moms door and moved forward, holding Marni's hand tightly and approached the door before tapping it gently. He wasn't sure whether to just go inside so he called out instead. "Ni..." he paused looking towards Marni "Mom?" He corrected himself.
