I'm not saying that Veilguard was perfectly written and could not have been written better—because there's so many places it could've been written better or more carefully or more elegantly—but some of the rewrites some of you are proposing are truly dumb as shit and often blatantly misunderstanding what the actual text is portraying or ignoring basic tenets of storytelling

#often rewriting things that do not need tweaks and making them worse (when there's a lot of stuff that DOES need tweaking)#often just completely missing the thematic parallels or subtext or implications of the text as it is that works really well #often refusing to see the scene or quest in the larger context of the arc or game as a whole in conjunction with other storylines #often just zero consideration for quantums or how to handle branches or how to handle this beat in the story AFTERWARD #this is about a lot of proposals tbh #but esp about that one saying the Weisshaupt war room background characters should've been returning Warden characters #DATV things
