                                 he  feels  a  little  on  the  edge  of  heaven   ,     much  like  the  title  of  the  club  suggests   ,   mind  emptied  until  it’s  replaced  with  nothing  but  pounding  bass  and  the  body  heat  of  the  people  closest  to  him   ,   hues  glossy  with  intoxication   .   and  yet  the  buzz  is  fading   ,   an  absolute  crime  to  the  male   ,   feet  dragging  him  toward  the  direction  of  the  bar   .   lithe  fingers  tap  on  the  shoulder  of  the  person  he  first  sees   ,   shuffling  into  a  spot  next  to  them  as  inebriated  vision  struggles  to  focus  in  the  dim  lighting   .       ‘       hey  !   can  you  buy  me  a  drink  ?   i’d  get  it  myself   ,   but  i’ve  already  spent  like   ,   two - thirds  of  my  paycheck  this  week   .      ’      voice  chipper  as  he  speaks  above  the  music   ,   conversation  comes  to  him  so  effortlessly  even  in  the  midst  of  a  perceived  stranger   .       ‘       you’d  think  they’d  pay  me  more   ,   y’know   ,   i’m  a  model  employee  !   i  do  so  much  work  for  them    ━━       ’       words  catch  in  his  throat  once  blurred  eyesight  reveals  just  who  he’s  talking  to   ,   smile  that  formed  naturally  across  his  features  becoming  tight   ,   pained   .       ‘       oh   .   it’s  you   .       ’       no  assistance  of  liquid  courage  here   ,   just  the  unadulterated  bitterness  he  feels  from  being  wronged   .       ‘       still  hate  me  ?       ’

hazel orbs were blood shot with red and puffiness, after spending the past hour vomiting, he had given up after the third time, eyes watering and sobs filling the empty penthouse. things had calmed down now, he gripped onto the white comforter tightly, feeling cold as he ran a fever. had the male known he’d have to face consequences for his actions, he would’ve taken the time to educate himself instead of hiding behind the sheer facade of ignorance. being twenty two, rich and careless, there wasn’t much he had to face in terms of consequences, but after the following incident, he was sure this was not something he’d ever want to repeat. ace was thankful that he had given the female the keys to his penthouse, mostly for occasions like this, cause there was no way he’d move from his bed at this point. loud noises from his tv filled his bedroom as he played whatever show he found on netflix, his perfectly styled hair was messed up as it fell lifeless on his forehead and his usual suits were replaced by a white t shirt and black sweatpants. the alcohol bottles and weed had pills and water bottles on top of them on the night table, to think he’d have to face this for a week made him shake to his core, fear for the first time in his life had taken over. this was torture. once his noticed his door move, his puffy eyes drifted to stare at the female, giving her a faint smile “hey, grandma” he chuckled, his voice low and tired as his throat burned from the strain it was put through “you lied” he rubbed his eyes, sitting up on his bed as he covered himself with the blankets “i don’t feel as good as new, these side effects are hell” he patted the spot next to him, indicating her to sit “i feel like becoming a virgin after this”

     she couldn’t help but become slightly annoyed with chace’s behavior moments before. here she was, curled up in the sheets on her bed watching reruns of grey’s anatomy when her boyfriend had decided to interrupt her due to needing a ride home. this was something very typical when it came to something involving chace, and as hard as raine might’ve tried to say no --- --- she knew that she would end up giving in anyways. pushing herself out of bed, she pulled on a pair of leggings and grabbed her purse. pulling her car out of the driveway, she began driving down the all too familiar streets of her hometown. as her eyes eye’d a small bar down the street, she let a soft chuckle escape her lips as she could now see a small figure sitting at the corner. she put her car in park, and made her way toward the drunken boy.  ❝ you owe me big time, you know that right?❞ she smiled, waving her hand in his direction in a way to get him to grab her hand for her to help him up.
