Modern AU where Stede has to take up a job that involves wearing a disgustingly cute mascot costume à la Pabu-chan, who people keep coming up to hug and take pictures with…until he meets this really cool looking guy in leather who surprisingly does want a hug from this big cuddly pink thing. And he must be going through something because he keeps coming back for more hugs almost daily, and eventually starts opening up and venting about how he’s so burned out on life and everything to this guy who’s paid to do a silly dance in a mascot costume. And then they fall in love.
