wolfgang is hardly the kind of person to compliment another. but if anyone deserves kind words, it’s kala. the person who makes him better. the person who makes him want to be a better man. his head titled slightly when she started to speak. and lips soon curve into a grin when she continues to speak. it’s words he doesn’t believe. that a monster--man, like him could make anyone good. he’s sure kala does all that on her own. “only you could turn a compliment against me. i’m not a good man kala, neither do i believe i could make you any better than you already are.” 

but she’s right about one thing--their cluster. a man who’s so used to depending on only himself. now has seven other people, a support system he’s not used to having. he doesn’t know how to, or would even dare to ask for help if need be it. but it’s nice knowing they’re there.

        he let’s the back of his hand press against his bloody lip, eyes watching kala as she nears him. for a moment, he considers shutting down, not talking to her, closing her out, but decides against it. instead, he let’s his hand drop so she can see the busted gap in his lip, his eyes watch her closely as she walks slowly towards him. he felt like a deer being walked towards, as she neared with such care.      ’    it’s nothing.    ’      a lie. that’s what he did best. even though it was a lie, it was for her own good. the moment he worried about himself, she would worry more. he knew that more than anything.
