Just gunna list it in order they were announced to make it easier on myself... the bl ones will probably have longer thoughts lol.

My Precious the series: Not seen the movie yet but am glad since I can go into this low spoiler.

Ploy's Yearbook: Okay yes... this looks confusing. But also... fun since it seems to be showing between present day and high-school.

We Are: This looks cute as fuck, I love that we are getting more ensemble BLs. Was super excited to see we are getting a PondPhuwin show since Pond is gunna focus on school in 2024. Also the amount of times I told my friend I need more WinnySatang, MarcPawin, and AouBoom in the last few months is infinite-

The Trainee: OFFICE WORKERS OFFGUN! I NEED IT NOW! Also such a fun cast it seems!

Only Boo: This seems fun and sappy, feel it's gunna have some real talk about dumb contract shit also.

Pluto the series: Film and double Namtan? Yes thank you. So excited for this, its gunna make me cry.

Peaceful Property On Sale: I was sold the moment Newwie sauntered in and poses with the funeral photo, and then it shows me that it's basically Scooby-Doo meets a property show, and it's TayNew and Jan and Mook? AND TAY AND JAN ARE PLAYING SIBLINGS!?!?!

Ossan's Love Thailand: I don't know much on this since not seen original and we had no trailer. But hey, EarthMix, I'm not complaining one bit.

My Golden Blood: Gawin. Casey. Being. Hunted. For . His. Blood. By. Vampires. And the vampire he's gunna be a full ass 5 course meal for is Joss Way-ar?! AND MOND IS A VAMPIRE ALSO?!? FUCKING YES!

Kidnap: Okay listen... Ohm Pawat playing a gay character AND playing with a gun in the same show? Fuck. Yes. Also Leng looks really talented and the chemistry seems awesome, can't wait.

Summer Night: Was worried about this with how people talked because of the accidental kiss. Then I find out it does have actual gay plot points is fun. But over all slice of life friendgroup/school club. It gives feel of someone the shoujo mangas I've read.

Wandee Goodday: I have said several times to friends I want a boxing set series, and while not exactly like this, still lookes fun and messy and I'm on 100%

High School Frenemy: Really curious about this, also the cast is sooo good. Genuinely already invested in finding out why they fought.

My Love Mix Up!: Was sold on the idea time I saw the contrast of their reactions to the lie of the eraser. It just seems really sweet and goofy and I can't wait.

Enigma 2: Trailer gave almost no info, season 1 was great (no one can convince me Fa and Sine weren't in love, fight me) and I love that the season is a different victim/member of Enigma. But overall interesting so far.

My GMMTV 2024 recap

A few hours before the event I was feeling pretty pessimistic but it turns out I got everything I could've asked for, which mostly refers to the GL series and TayNew. Something similar happened last year, so I realized if you give me my GL and Tay and New and a few interesting series I'll be ecstatic, I don't need anything else.

In order of how much I want to watch them:

On sale or Peaceful Property (I’m not sure which is the correct title): this is like Tha himself read my mind a made the perfect series for me. Crackhead role for New, my favourite for him, scary cat Tay, Jan and Mook which I love too, comedy, found family vibes. Woulnd’t change a thing, I don’t know if it’s BL or not but I don’t care. They also said the creators of The gifted will be working on it so I have faith it’ll be good at least.

Pluto: I would watch any GL crumbs GMMTV decides to give us but this is much more than that. Namtan and Film are a surprise couple, for me at least, but I like both so much, especially Namtan, and we have what looks like a solid plot and an interesting and mature story. Perfect for me again.

My Love Mix-Up: GeminiFourth are on it so I don’t need to elaborate much, it seems cute and I’m sure they’ll be great as always, like the director who is the same as MSP. Yes it’s a remake of a great series, do I care? No. Yes, they are almost the same characters as MSP, do I care? No. They could refilm MSP changing only the colour of their uniforms and I would watch it.

My Golden Blood: I’m still not sure we aren’t collectivelly hallucinating this series, never in my life would I have imagined something like this, but I’m 100% here for it. I actually really like Joss and Gawin both so let’s see what they come up with. Neo and Mond being part of the cast is the cherry on top.

Kidnap: I kinda love a forced cohabitation situation so I’m already sold. Ohm is great and I’m curious to see him with a new partner.

We Are: seems kinda fun and PondPhuwin and Marc make me want to watch it. Not the biggest WinnySatang fan but maybe they grow on me. I miss the time when we had 4 couples in a series like this and all had decent screen time, I hope this is something similar.

Ploy's Yearbook: girls cast, that’s enough to make me want to watch it, even if all of them have a love interest. Namtan, Aye, Film… No need to say more.

Wandee Goodday: like with My golden blood I’m here for the crack, I hope I don’t cringe too much.

The Trainee: OffGun, that’s it. I’ll watch anything. Seems fun, good cast, not that interesting storyline but we’ll see.

Enigma 2: I haven’t watched season 1 but I want to and season 2 looks even better.

My Precious: I’m going to watch it for Nanon and Film but I already know what happens in it, also I’m a bit tired of hearing about it year after year.

Summer Night: probably bad or very mediocre at least but yes I’ll be watching. Did the queerbait get to me? I’m not sure but maybe. I’m curious about it too, how Phuwin and Dunk act without their partners.

Only Boo: didn’t catch my attention but I’m not dismissing it yet.

Ossan's Love Thailand: haven’t seen the original, the original trailer didn't convince me and I’m a bit tired of Earth tbh. But my real first impression will be when I watch the trailer, we don’t even have a poster yet.

High School Frenemy: absolutely not.

This last one is the only one I’m definitely not watching, I’m overall pleased with the presentation and very excited for part 2 too. Some things I also wish for that maybe we can get in Part 2 are:

Definitely a tie between these two :) they were what drew me in as Not Me was the first OffGun show that I watched. I was looking for something similar to KinnPorsche and I was not disappointed.

Sean and White play off each other so well and are each other’s port in a storm. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses and both are able to pick themselves back up when they fall down.

If I absolutely had to pick one, I’d probably pick White but I’m going with both of them haha

5. favourite female character

I’m probably very unoriginal with this but I fucking love Manow. She is open and fun and is always willing to be silly with Team and Pharm and honestly, those boys need that sometimes. She’s absolutely adorable and I’m really happy her love story with Pruek is getting told in Between Us.

pluto: this is my everything already. A GL??? with two of my fave actresses film & namtan??? AND a complex, interesting plot??? I'm obsessed already!!! this looks so good I'm so happy it's happening & it will become my whole personality once it airs!!!

the trainee: I genuinely believed, even with the rumors that off, gun, view, kapook & sea would be in a show together, that we wouldn't get an offgun show this year. AND I WAS WRONG!!! is this what it's like to always fucking win??? like genuinely, my ship is THAT ship, I'm so lucky & happy and I love them so much <3

peaceful property on sale: duuuude, this looks so fun??? I was already hooked when I saw new's over the top character, but a ghost haunting show with taynew, jan & mook??? absolutely incredible! this looks ridiculous & I know I'm gonna love every second of it!

my golden blood: bruh, thank goodness I was warned about jossgawin in advance or I might have had a heart attack, but honestly????? THEY ATE THAT! and mond playing the villain????? babe, that casting is incredible & perfect, I'm obsessed!!! wandee goodday: you might not know it, but I have a super power. every time I start being a fan of someone who hasn't done bl, they do bl the following year. this year it was nonkul, and next year it's gonna be great sapol. AND I LOVE THAT FOR ME!!! this looks really good & fun, the characters are interesting and the story not too crazy or too basic. I can feel that it's gonna be good!

ploy's yearbook: a female-led show & the return of mond as a main??? BLESS!!! I love most of this cast, this looks fun as hell, I adore my gmmtv girlies... gotta watch this for sure! love seeing earth in more roles outside of his ship too!

enigma 2: I still haven't watched season one, am planning on watching it very soon, but I've heard great things so I'll be sure to catch season two as well! especially since I really liked toey jarinporn in the recent lakorn to the moon and back so I'm excited to see how she does!

my precious the series: as you know I've watched the movie in theaters, but I'm excited for it to be out as a series too, especially since there's extra scenes! seems like it might be even more lovable, and also if it's on gmmtv's youtube channel I'll finally be able to gif the iconic scenes :')

high school frenemy: this looks interesting & I like sky, but I feel like the plot doesn't make sense if it's not a love story... idk I feel like since this is adapted from a kdrama it's just gonna be a frustrating story that should be a romance but is reduced to bromance instead... I might still watch though :')

only boo: this looks kinda cute though basic. I don't know both main leads but might watch it.

we are: this has all ships I like, especially marcpawin & aouboom who deserve more spotlight, so I will be watching, but the plot seems really basic so I'm not expecting anything out of this world...

kidnap: this plot seems interesting but the cast isn't so... yeah.

summer night: I was so confused by who is supposed to be with who in the show lol, honestly I was down for dunkphuwin lmao, but this looks too messy for me :')

my love mix-up: I absolutely despise remakes even though I enjoyed kieta hatsukoi & like geminifourth, and although I'm certain this version will fix the chemistry issues of the original, I'm not gonna be watching it.

ossan's love thailand: same thing as for the previous show but even more so bc ossan's love is such a product of its time & shouldn't be remade in 2024 imo...

“OffGun Fun Night” is now part of my morning routine to gather some serotonin for the day.

It’s such a cute and funny show concept.

Them hosting the whole show sitting on a bed, asking their guests bed related questions, about their sleeping habits and sleep/bed stories. Also them all playing silly games and at the end of the episode they go to sleep together~

I LOVE THOSE CHAOTIC SLEEPOVER VIBES

I even like the editing of the show as well. Those cute, silly animations and sound effects. Love that shit. 

I rather have BL actors hosting a show to interview and play with other (not always) BL actors, than some creepy weirdo companies trying to sell their products by making them do fanservice things. Fun Night is a bit shippy/fanservicey as well and obviously has placements but it feels different, ya know? It’s more fun banter and jokes and less awkwardness + Off and Gun have the freedom to just follow the script loosely and respect their guests boundaries (lol most of the times). And they are more likely to talk about actual actor and work related stuff now and then. Some of the guests said they could be more themselves on this show than in other interviews and shows. And that’s something~ 

I am at the end of season 2 now and hope there will be a third season of Fun Night some day when covid is over...

Explaining OFFGUN to new BL fans: In this essay I will ...

For new Thai BL fans, here’s a very basic explanation of what the HELL “OffGun” is and why you keep seeing them everywhere.

Gun (Atthaphan Phunsawat) and Off (Jumpol Adulkittiporn) are both actors working under GMMTV. But, over the years, they have become like BL royalty.

Gun was already a child actor long before signing to GMMTV, and had already played LGBT roles (like in The Blue Hour 2015). Off had started as a TV host, but then became an actor and also signed to GMMTV.

Their first role together was as a couple Pick x Rome in Puppy Honey (2016) and Puppy Honey 2 (2017) which was a really wholesome little series. But OffGun became so popular as a pairing, that GMMTV started to produce more content just about THEM - as a couple [ie; OffGun Fun Night]. Pick x Rome then reappeared again in Our Skyy (2018), which was a very cute and funny bodyswap episode (mostly because of height difference shenanigans].

After much anticipation they were then in a new series together as Khai x Third in Theory Of Love (2019). This was a VERY emotional series and I’m still not over it, but dang they were incredible in it. Then, Off Gun Fun Night Season 2 (2019) FINALLY came out. For context, OGFN is literally just them being cute and domestic whilst “interviewing” other gmmtv guests in what is essentially a slumber party scenario. And to give you PERSPECTIVE, I think more people watch OGFN than their actual series’ because thier natural dynamic, friendship, banter, and chemistry in REAL LIFE is just THAT good.

Now, this is where the lines gets a bit blurry. The shipping of bl actors is a pretty murky space, and we’ve seen how bad fandom behaviour has turned sour. However, OffGun is an anomaly - a weird exception - and kind of the reason why so many BL fans think it’s okay to actively ship BL actors together...BUT

GMMTV promotes content that is branded as “OFFGUN” so they are acknowledging the existence of ships and use that for marketing strategies. What’s so unique about this, is that Off and Gun seem totally cool with it - it’s like their day job, being this public celebrity couple. I think it’s really IMPORTANT that fans understand the DIFFERENCE

OffGun are like a team, being a shippable “pairing” is part of their role at GMMTV and I think that concept probably happened fairly organically and those decisions would have been made by the actors themselves. Whilst a lot of other BL actors are now expected to do fan meetings etc, whether or not the actors are COMFORTABLE with fans shipping them as real people is NOT KNOWN. So don’t do it! (Or if you are gonna do it, do it quietly and respectfully!) Basically what I’m trying to say is; as far as I’m concerned OffGun are the ONLY “bl couple” that you are allowed to openly ship in public forums (as long as you are still respectful of their private lives). Don’t be creepy!!! In conclusion, OffGun are very generous and amazing. Respect them.

MY FAVOURITE ON AIR SHOW. It’s so fucking good and it’s sooooo relatable and cute and fun and just GOOD. Ugh it’s a whole blessing. Literally the concept is also just amazing, plus the representation is actually accurate?? LIKE ITS SO RELATABLE JLSJFKJKJKD AND REAL. AND THE CHARACTERS ARE SO KLJLKFJDLKJLSKJD.

10. I Told Sunset About You

THE SETS ARE SO PRETTY. THE VISUALS. ASTOUNDING. THE ACTING KSLJFKJLDF. It exceeded my expectations holy crap and the chinese culture incorporated into it feels so nice and genuine. literally i watched some of it today before my chinese class lmao. OMG AND THE OST.
