Knife Throwing Bad-ass
Characters/Pairings: Jensen X Reader, Jared, Kim, Briana Words: 1,386 Warnings: none A/N: you are a cast member in SPN Tagging: @autoblocked
“Alright guys. It’s Jensen Ackles, and I’m here with my amazing costar’s Jared Padalecki and the beautiful (Y/N) (Y/L/N).”
“Wait, why am I last? This is my Facebook live.” You mutter, glaring at your fiancé.
“Well, I was saving best for last.” Jensen snickered as Jared gave the screen an eye roll.
“Let’s bicker later lovebirds. We come to you live with a purpose.” Jared grumbles.
“Yes, we do come to you with a greater purpose than the bickering Jack and I do to annoy Jared. This Thursday we are going to be hosting an awesome event, and watch the new episode with our greatest fans.” You giggle and push Jared with your shoulder, letting him wrap an arm around you. Being squashed in the middle of two of the hottest, and two of your favorite men was a miracle.
What had happened to you, that your life had turned out this way? You were one lucky girl.
“Correct. One big giant get together at the Cineplex at the Odeon International Village Cinemas. Doors open at five pm, and we’ve got the biggest theater in the whole Cineplex.” Jensen grabs your hand smiles to the camera.
“First 100 of y’all will get a meet and greet with us and Misha, and following the episode, you will get to hear us do a table read of some of our favorite scenes of season thirteen.” You roll your eyes. “Or how it usually goes on set with the three of those men.”
“Hey. We aren’t that bad.” Jensen says with feigned hurt.
“Yeah, I guess you aren’t too bad to look at.” Jared smirks.
“Oh wow, we are pretty good at getting off on a tangent. That will be the table read. This Thursday. Again, 5 PM doors open and we can’t wait to see you there.”
“Disclaimer, the theater seats two hundred. And they will turn away after the theater is full.”
“Yes, just tell them you’re here for the Supernatural event and they’ll tell you what to do.” You smile.
“So, until then. We’ll see all y’all at VanCon. We can’t wait to see you there guys!” Jared respond, waving to the camera.
With Jared’s long arms, he takes your phone and quickly ends the live feed and hands you the phone.
“I will post the video to twitter and instagram so you can repost it.” You smile. You kiss Jensen’s cheek as you stand. “Now let’s get this convention over with. I’m ready to have some sleep.”
“At Porncouver? Right.” Jared laughs. “Good luck with that.”
“Well, maybe I’ll take a nap while I get my tattoo. Remember Jense? We need to go soon.”
“Oh, right. Right. I’ll go around and get the car.”
“Please live stream that. I want to see Jensen be a big baby.”
“So supportive Jare. He’s just going with me. It’s a tattoo for my dad.”
“And that is how I talked him in to getting a tattoo with me.” Briana lets out a giggle as you finish your elaborate story.
It was one you had been meaning to get out as soon as possible. You’d rather tell the stories, than fans over analyze and get it all wrong.
You hadn’t gotten matching tattoos and there was no intention of doing that any time soon.
“Can we ask what you got?” The fan at the microphone asked. She had been patiently waiting for you to get through your tangent.
“Oh right, there was a question. Was that your question?”
The fan nods and smiles shyly. “It actually was going to be my question. What’s the meaning behind your tattoo?”
“It’s for my daddy.” You nod and clear your throat. “My dad is the hardest working man in the world, and I wanted to show some sort of support to him and all his hard work. Ya see, my dad all my life. He has been the biggest rock in my life. He worked two and three jobs sometimes to make sure me and my brother and sister had anything we needed. Growing up.”
“But where did the tool belt and hammer and nails come in?” Kim asked, lifting the sleeve to look at your fresh tattoo.
“My dad is in construction. My dad has been in construction since my little brother and sister were born, and it’s been a passion of his. I think almost all of the houses I’ve grown up in he built by his own two hands. I mean, he’s such a great guy. I love the man. He pushed me and my siblings to go on our own adventures and do our own things, whatever they may be. I ended up here.”
“Which we’re glad you’re here.” Kim puts her arm around your shoulder.
“We were always tight on money growing up, and now that I’ve got a steady income – I’m excited to be able to have the money to hire him to build himself his dream home.”
“My question is for Jensen.”
Jared gave his usual frown and fake – disdain upon the fans choosing Jensen over him.
“Always with the fake disdain. Continue please.”
“Well, I was just instagram stalking your girlfriend. And she just recently posted a tbt of you and her…”
“That’s a throwback. If you’re wondering…”
“I’m not old. Jeez.” He grumpily looks to Jared before turning back to the fan and rolling his eyes. “Continue sweetheart.”
“My question is about the sweaters. Who’s idea was it?”
“Well, she’ll claim it as her idea, but it isn’t really how that went.”
“It was actually his mom’s idea. I think that Donna has taken a liking to (Y/N) as much we did, and it was apparent then as much as it is now.” Jared laughs with Jensen and the crowd.
“He’s not lying. She isn’t too bad.”
“So the Austin Ren fair? Seriously? I didn’t think you’d go for something like this.”
“Well, Donna told me how much of a fun time you have there and I’d like to try it out. As long as I’m stuck with you.”
“You’re gonna be stuck with me and my family.” He smiles, giving you a devilish wink.
“I think I know how to handle you. It’s you that I’m worried about.” You brandish a finger at him and he blushes slightly.
“I’m so embarrassed, but my mom made us something. Well, got us something.” He pushes a wrapped bag that he had haphazardly put back together after looking through it.”
“So you obviously didn’t wait?” you laugh, pulling at the tissue paper.
“I wanted to make sure I wasn’t going to die of embarrassment before you opened it. It’s okay. I guess.”
“You guess. That bad huh?” you giggle. First you pull out the first sweater and unfold it. It was Jensen’s size, and on the back it had an “Ackles” with a 01 under it. Not so bad, right? Well, when you pull out the second sweater. On the back there was a “Future Mrs. Ackles” and a 02 under the namesake.
“Future Mrs. Ackles, huh?”
“Yes. She did that. That was all mom. I didn’t put her up to it at all, promise.” He said.
“I love that she thinks that highly of me. I will wear it with honor.”
.
.
.
“That was a wonderful moment. That was also a throwback to when I proposed and she said yes.”
“They were deeply engrained in the Ren Fair and we hadn’t joined up with them, because we were taking photos of the eventual proposal.”
“I was just so happy. She was actually liking the Ren Fair, and this is something that my parents come down to do, and Mack and Josh and their families join us. So I wanted her to have fun.”
“So the one thing he does that I remember seeing before he proposes, was her throwing knives.” Jared laughs. “Like literally she had a throwing knife in her hand when he proposed.”
“And all I was thinking was how proud of her knife throwing skills I was. I mean, look at what Supernatural did for her. Knife throwing.”
Jared laughs and shakes his head. “And now he’s locking her down for life. Weren’t you worried about the knife in your face?”
“Not in the slightest. She’s my knife throwing badass for life.”

Film A Week #TBT: The Fast and the Furious (2001)
Written by Serg Beret
This week’s #ThrowbackThursday of the first film in a franchise that, honestly, surprised everyone by being the giant in the film industry it is today. After all, the eighth installment (at this time of writing) The Fate of the Furious is hitting theaters worldwide and continuing the trend of departing far from what the franchise started out as. Let’s take a look back at 2001′s The Fast and the Furious.
Released on June 22, 2001, (the day after my ninth birthday, but neither here or there), Fast was a hit on the weekend it open by hitting some high marks expected in a summer film, but this one struck a chord by appealing to a younger market and a more culturally diverse market, even from the get-go.
Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) is an undercover LAPD officer investigating a heist in which the thieves used modded street vehicles to help steal the most expensive Panasonic devices ever featured on film. O’Connor decides to use his cover and information to his advantage by working in a local auto parts shop. From here, he meets Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) at a loclal small market for a quick sandwich, where he gets informed about a illegal street race going on the same night.
O’Connor is then met by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) at the race to engage in a competition filled with NOS-fueled action, amazing stunt work and all the Ja Rule one could ever want on film. The two form a fast friendship and eventually gets to know the Toretto’s more including meeting Domn’s tough-as-nails girlfriend Letty Ortiz. This leads O’Connor to dive into the illegal race world, helping Dom fend off his rival Johnny Tran (the underrated badass that is Rick Yune) and see if their new bond can overcome the new information that comes to light in the case.If this plot sounds familiar, it isn’t just because this film has been probably watched by anyone reading a hundred times. It’s because this is a more updated version of 1991′s Point Break except with cars. In fact, I covered that years ago on the original Film A Week.
In that respect, it is a sub-par version of Point Break lacking in the same charm as that film with awkward dialogue and no real chemistry between any characters. It feels forced and no one feels natural. Walker was still finding his groove, but is quite bland in this. Then again, O’Connor is not exactly given the best lines nor has anything memorable to say. Diesel does his best with the work given and not a horrible actor. He captures the charisma of the top racer, commands a presence and makes the character. He is no Patrick Swayze, but who is.When the two interact, however, it feels less like a real friendship and more like a forced concept of a bond. Maybe it was intentional as O’Connor is undercover, but even with that said, it doesn’t work. Even when Walker is with Brewster, the chemistry is as palpable as seeing paint dry. The plot itself is also hindered by the fact that Point Break exists because it took the base of the plot and allowed time for the characters to understand and get to know each other. In here, interaction feels as an afterthought because of the true stars of the film being the car races and the action.
The action directed by Rob Cohen throughout the film is quite good with capturing the thrill of the race, the adrenaline that rushes throughout and the white knuckle thrills of defeat. It has an impact and intrigues us into seeing what happens next. In the moments of gun play and fist fights, Cohen knows to keep the camera on what is going on compared to modern action that seems to fall all over the place (save for John Wick).
One moment in the film that is a personal favorite is in the final minutes of the film. The sequence of Dom ready to escape and outrun O’Connor and a train is brilliant. the tension builds and builds so that when they jump over the track, a sigh of relief comes to calm the senses as Dom’s Charger gets wrecked. It’s a great moment in cinema and plays to a strength sorely lacking in the film.
The Fast and the Furious is not exactly a great start to a franchise, but this franchise does not get good until Fast Five. Yet, it was successful for Universal and for the cast as a surprise hit that would have suffered at another time. It was refreshing, exciting and fast-paced, even if looking back is a bit cringeworthy. Yet, with all families beginning, it can be rough and, luckily, it blossomed into something greater, faster and more furious later on.

A Guide to TbtS 2019 Titles!
It’s time to announce the titles coming to Telluride by the Sea this year! If you happened to miss this big announcement or just want a little more information about the movies, we’ll go through each of the extraordinary films here.
Friday, 9/20:
Ford v Ferrari: With his father’s car company in the doldrums, Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) decides to build a car to challenge Ferrari’s Formula One dominance. He hands the task to designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale), two obsessive artists who clash with each other and with the suits assigned to keep control over the project. James Mangold (Walk the Line) skillfully manages both the kinetic thrills of the races and the subtle psychology of the project, which is endlessly complicated by ego, ambition, and imagination.
Saturday, 9/21:
Beanpole: What happens when war is given a woman’s face—and body? The two Red Army vets in Kantemir Balagov’s second feature are women—striking and very young. Nurse Iya, nicknamed Beanpole because of her height, and Masha, a decorated war hero, explore sex, love, death, and procreation in Leningrad, bled white by the war. Enjoy the haunting daylight of the subpolar city; relish its rusty-red interiors inhabited by the heroines who seem to have walked off a Vermeer canvas (the sublime cinematography is by Ksenia Sereda). Beanpole offers period authenticity through the lens of the new generation. Winner of Best Director and the Fipresci prize at Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.
Marriage Story: Baumbach weaves his dark comedy with tragic romance, following a New York playwright (Adam Driver) and actress (Scarlett Johansson) as they dissolve their once happy union with aid from some seen-it-all lawyers (Laura Dern, Ray Liotta, and Alan Alda) and the concerned family (Julie Hagerty, Merritt Wever). Baumbach brings his gift for precise observation of human behavior to this bicoastal, artistic couple untangling their lives from one another while raising their son. But there’s a new warmth and reflectiveness in the way the writer-director treats the highly personal material, with subtle performances by Driver and Johansson, who deliver moments of bewilderment, tenderness, loss, and one bravura fight.
Motherless Brooklyn: When Frank (Bruce Willis), a tough private eye, is murdered, his protégé Lionel (Edward Norton) decides to do something about it. But Lionel suffers from Tourette’s and has trouble connecting with people and himself. Norton adapts and directs Jonathan Lethem’s prize-winning novel, brilliantly navigating a tangle of betrayals, real-estate crime, and jazz set in the New York of the classic film noir era. The superb cast includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Willem Dafoe, Bobby Cannavale, Leslie Mann, and Cherry Jones. Alec Baldwin plays a ruthless power-broker inspired by Robert Moses, and Michael K. Williams (Omar in The Wire) burns it up as a jazz trumpeter.
Sunday, 9/22:
The Assistant: Cinema is packed with tales of powerful men. Australian writer-director Kitty Green turns her camera lens on another figure—the young woman who makes one such man’s life possible. Julia Garner plays the title role in this drama, as a new assistant working the desk of a domineering film executive. Over the course of one day, what seems like a humdrum if demanding entry-level job becomes treacherous, as Garner’s ambitious assistant finds herself enmeshed in the executive’s messy personal life, belittled by her male peers, and increasingly aware of their boss’s predatory aims with the hopeful actresses who float into his office. Green brings a sharp, nuanced angle to a story we thought we already knew.
The Climb: Kyle and Mike have been best friends since high school. Can their friendship survive a terrible breach? That question begins during the grueling uphill of a cycling trip and continues through funerals, the appearance of an old friend, and harmonizing gravediggers. Michael Angelo Covino’s utterly idiosyncratic and hilarious bromance, written with his co-star Kyle Marvin, follows a close but dysfunctional bond undergirded by a mutual genius for passive-aggressive sabotage and a true cluelessness in how to deal with women. Endearingly strange and wholly original, The Climb will keep you off balance with its unexpected mixture of sweetness and cruelty. Winner of Un Certain Regard Heart Prize at Cannes 2019.
Don’t forget to get Weekend Passes before they’re gone (Patron Passes are already sold out), and we’ll see you in a few short weeks!

Throwing it way the hell back to 40 years ago when that pew-pew space movie "Star Wars" was unleashed upon the world and to 39 years 11 months 1 week and a handful of hours ago when my Father actually had to drag his son to the Dedham Showcase Cinemas off Route 1 to see said movie. Yup, I said "drag"! #starwars #happybirthday #dedham #showcasecinemas #tbt

Here’s my special digital fanart of Branch in honor of the release of the third Trolls chapter; Trolls Band Together! 😍🥰💙
This took me an entire month of October to whip this up, but now it is the perfect time to post it before I leave to the cinema! I think my shading skills have improved in this one than the time I created my 2021 profile pic. 😁
Here’s the reference photo that I have drawn as shown below. I just totally needed it so that I can trace it down using digital art.
Anyway, I’m off to see Trolls Band Together in the cinema today! This movie is worth the wait for me and I finally got the chance to watch it in advance because it came out earlier than November 17 in my place! I bet my experience watching it will be so much better than seeing Trolls World Tour for the first time and maybe I will enjoy this one a lot! Wish me all the good luck needed for me to see this remarkable movie! 😊
P.S.
Let there be a Broppy kiss or a Broppy wedding in there, PLEASE!!! 🥺💙💖
