dropping by logan’s whether or not she’s there has been niko’s routine since the day they both stopped living at home. there’s something comforting about it that’s different than his own apartment, especially since his career had taken off and landed him in a spotlight which has recently begun to feel a little smothering. he does love it, of course, but it’s still a bit strange getting used to being recognized so often--being at logan’s place is like a sanctuary from all of that. she’s family, and family feels normal.

less normal is finding old disney child stars sitting on her couch in the middle of the day when niko walks in with a drink in his hand from the kitchen. it takes him a moment, because milo adani is, at least to him, instantly recognizable. his fourteen-year-old self had spent hours--hours--sighing over pictures of him and religiously watching victorious if only to see his celebrity crush. niko’s first thought is that this is only someone who looks incredibly like milo, but he realizes quickly it isn’t the case. and even though the last few years have introduced niko to a level of fame he’d once dared not even dream of, he feels completely starstruck now. he knows it shows on his face but he can’t help it, nor can he help the squeaky quality of his voice when he finally speaks up, orange juice forgotten in his grip. “not to be rude,” he begins in lieu of an actual greeting, which seems rather fitting considering the surreality of the situation, “but you look too much like milo adani to actually be milo adani casually sitting in my cousin’s living room and i have to assume this is a practical joke. which, by the way, if it is, it’s not funny.”

he’s got daxton dressed up as a reindeer, yep it’s still early november and he’d gone out and gotten his adopted son costumes already. he’s playing christmas music downstairs and dancing around with the 10 month old, brightly laughing as daxton is clearly having the time of his life. “bro you’re gonna lose your ...crap..when we put up the tree,” he says to the little toddler, apparently talking to him like one of his adult friends. which is only interrupted by his housemate wondering through the door to one hell of an early christmas party. “dude !! he loves it,” exclaims jordan gesturing to the over excited baby in his hands. “i wanna make his first christmas the best thing he’s ever experienced.”
