the post i rb'd a little while ago abt the mlp fandom always being kinda into grimdark parodies reminded me to go rewatch friendship is witchcraft for the first time in like eight years or smth and tbh i can't lie and say i'm not having fun since edgy parodies have their charm, but some of the jokes being made are like.

well you can tell they were made by people who didn't know any better at that time.

#i've had 'pinkie's brew' stuck in my head every so often recently since i relistened to it #n i always feel like one of those animated characters who stops suddenly w/their pupils tiny w/sudden realization halfway through #bc it has. y'know. that one slur used on romani people.#the worm speaks #i remember watching jenny nicholson's video on the rise n fall of the mlp fandom n stuff n how she'd been a big part #of the creation of friendship is witchcraft; helping w/the writing n voicing most of the characters n stuff #so i know she didn't know any better at the time it was written n acknowledges it as wrong now #anyway the mlp fandom made an absolute wealth of fanworks of all sorts n i admire that abt them #also if any of you guys remember the time when my tumblr icon was of me as a pony. holy fucking shit you've seen it all
