i just saw someone ask for mystery novel recommendations for someone first getting into mysteries bc they hadnt read them before and the response they got was “sherlock holmes” 😭 no offense but i would NOT ……… share them as Introductions To The Genre …. unless you’re interested in exclusively reading mystery stories from that time period …… the sherlock holmes stories are pretty different from modern mysteries…
