I hate ranting about AI discourse a lot and worry I sound like soapbox sadie but I generally worry about this stuff fast tracking dead internet theory and making the world a lot worse long term.
I've always been a futurist at heart but this stuff feels like a technological dead end with little benefits for the improvement of the world or humanity.
Of all the things to be automated who thought art was the one that required that? Like "Fuck yeah lets kill all the art jobs but keep the shit manual labour ones." Seems like the opposite of what post scarcity automation was promising years ago.
I get normies using this gen AI stuff, I see the appeal and nobody wants to be given a lecture.
But what happens when movies are all AI generated, stories are AI generated, all art has been scrapped and AI sludge has overrun the entire internet not to mention an endless flood of realistic misinformation that erodes human trust while doing damage to democracy the likes we've never seen?
Even being online, majority of sites are unusable or ruined plus you can't trust people online since there are billions of bots posing as real people and users.
But hey sure it will work itself out, after all these companies self regulate so they will have nothing but altruistic motives and hey big tech gave us the gig ecomony and the blockchain which are totally a boon for soceity.

Looking back, JGY’s little lecture to JC about how he could have played a role in preventing a lot of the events that happened, applies to so many people - LXC, NMJ, LQR, JZX.
Sure they weren’t WWX’s sect leader nor the people who owed personal debts but JGY’s like on how people like WWX die young, essentially because of their morals and spark and how people are quick to blame them applies to all the characters above.
All of them held significant power and their inaction led to the inevitable chaos in the cultivation world.
JGY was utterly vile but my lord did he understand how self-absorbed, classist and unfair this soceity is.
That is exactly why he is the primary antagonist of the story. MXTX is very deliberate with her work. JGY is used to make a very valid point. That's why he is a compelling antagonist. He used the system while WWX went against the system. The system wasn't righteous and JGY wasn't a good guy so it benefitted him. The system was bad and WWX was a good guy, which is why it ruined him.
It is very accurate reflection of society, unfortunately.

Home, Part 2: Memories of Yesterday
Prinxiety
TW: Flashbacks, past abuse, past abusive relationship, toxic anxiceit, references to s3xual things, slight anxiety attack, current abusive relationship, cursing (Some characters really like cursing), unsympathetic Deceit/Janus, Remus (But pretty calm), dissociation, PTSD, flashbacks, yelling, tears, arguing, threatening, guilt, and trauma.
The day started to go south when Roman got home. He had just picked up their son, Remy, from preschool. Virgil had been busy at work, drawing for books. Currently his favorite one to draw for was the story Roman had been working on. Of course, that was only Virgil’s first job. Virgil also had to work as a carer in an adoption center to make the extra money. Roman too had a second job, working as a director for the local theater, but it didn’t pay much and Roman was too stubborn to ask for more money. So Virgil rolled his eyes and told Roman to pick up Remy from preschool.
Roman ran a bit late, and was surprised when he ran into familiar faces in the building.
“It’s okay Remy, I’m sure your dad’s going to be here soon kiddo. For now, why don’t you go play with Emile, okay? He’s my kiddo. I’m sure you two will get along fine,” Patton encouraged with a smile, sending the two children off to play in a corner as he turned to his husband, glaring at him. Logan shrank backward, already anticipating pain.
Roman burst through the door, panting. Patton quickly schooled his features into a more pleasant expression, elbowing Logan into doing the same. Logan obeyed, stifling his shock when a more adult looking Roman entered. He quickly retreated, looking down.
“I am incredibly sorry I’m late Mr. Hart, there was so much traffic. Was Remy okay?” Roman asked as he composed himself, adjusting his hair slightly.
Patton walked toward Remy, who had jumped up excitedly at the sound of his dad’s voice. Emile quietly giggled, following Remy. Remy slowed down when he realized Emile was behind him, stopping to grab his hand. The two four year olds walked forward together towards their parents, who started to talk.
“Oh your kiddo was just fine Mr. Empire. He played with my son Emile for a little while, who came to visit today. Remy learned all about frogs today and built with blocks to create a castle.” Just as Remy let go of Emile’s hand to hug his dad, Roman swung him up in the air, sending a flurry of giggles through the little boy.
“That’s my boy!” Roman gently set him back on the ground, still holding his tiny hand, and putting on his jacket. “Thank you a ton much Mr. Hart, for...” Roman trailed off looking right at Patton’s face. “We’ve met before.” Patton giggled nervously, making sure to send a warning look to Logan, who looked pained.
“Well, you have come to pick up Remy before Mr. Empire.” Roman shook his head, slightly shooing off Remy to keep playing with Emile, which he did gladly.
“No, I met you somewhere else. Before that.” Then Roman’s gaze fell on the desperately trying to be non-existent Logan. “Logan?” Logan flinched backwards, trying to hide. Patton quickly realized Roman knew, so before he came to a dangerous conclusion, Patton grabbed Logan and pushed him slightly forward.
“Oh yes, we went to college together. I remember now. You were friends with my Logan.” Roman heard Patton, but stared slack jawed at Logan, who looked so different from the confident law student he had been friends with. Logan looked like a toothpick, thin and breakable, and he was missing his glasses. But more than looking breakable, he looked broken. There was something in his eyes Roman hadn’t seen before. Exhaustion? It seemed to fit, but it didn’t fully ecompse the full emotion in the squinting eyes. Roman finally spoke.
“So you got rid of those glasses, huh nerd?” Logan kept his mouth shut, avoiding Roman’s gaze. Patton answered for him.
“He lost his just recently actually. We’ve been trying to get a new pair but our eye doctor doesn’t have our prescription back from our last appointment.” Roman nodded sympathetically, watching Logan from the corner of his eye. “Virgil is your husband correct? Your son is a spitting image of him.” Roman nodded, smiling.
“Yes, dark and stormy night and I got married. If I knew you two were this close to us, I would have invited you to the wedding.”
“Oh we just moved here about a year ago,” Patton lied. Roman sighed sadly.
“Well, it's been great catching up with you, but I should probably get home. I don’t want to worry Virgil. Come here Remy! Time to go home to Papa!” Remy gave Emile a hug and then ran to Roman excitedly.
“Okay dad!” As Roman and Remy walked out the door, Roman offered one last thing.
“Since our boys liked hanging out with each other today, maybe they can have a playdate some time!”
“Sure thing! Goodbye now!” Roman hurried out the entrance, headed to the car. He quickly buckled in Remy, who complained he could do it himself. Roman didn’t listen, trying to get home in ten minutes, almost breaking twenty traffic laws in the process. Finally, he made it to their home. It was like a modest cottage like home in a nice neighborhood. He barely noticed as he pushed open the door, and ran in with Remy.
“Go put your coat away okay? I just want to check on your papa.” Remy grumbled, but listened. “Virgil, are you okay? I’m home! So sorry I’m late. I just lost track of time.” Shuddering breaths came from the “office” in their home.
“I’m fine,” Virgil called, slowly calming down from his anxiety attack. Breath in for four... Random events like showing up late often led to anxiety attacks, which Virgil wasn’t exactly sure he became used to, but he did expect them.
“Okay!” Roman said. “Do you think you can come downstairs? Remy’s home.” Virgil let out a shuddering breath, Out for four.
“Coming down as we speak.” Virgil quickly went down the short flight of stairs where Roman stood at the bottom. Roman smiled at Virgil, happy to see him.
When Virgil reached the bottom, Roman quickly asked, “Touching or no touching?” Virgil thought for a moment before answering.
“You can touch me, but not too much.” Roman smiled brightly and gave Virgil a quick hug. Virgil rolled his eyes, and hugged back.
“Hi papa!” Remy shouted excitedly, going to join the hug. Roman and Virgil smiled, and let him in. Virgil hugged him tightly.
“Hey kid, how was school?” Remy smiled as his dad let him go.
“Good! Dad ran a little late but Mr. Hart let me play with Emile!” Virgil looked at Roman.
“Who’s Emile?” Roman’s smile wavered slightly.
“Mr. Hart’s son who came to visit.” Virgil looked at him suspiciously. Roman quickly changed the subject.
“I heard you learned about frogs today! And built a castle! Can you tell me and your papa all about it!” Remy nodded ethusically, starting to rattle on about frogs. Virgil gave Roman a look, but listened to Remy.
Finally, when dinner ended, and Remy had been put to sleep, Virgil asked.
“Okay, what the hell was that about?” Roman awkwardly fiddled with his fingers, sitting back down on a kitchen stool across from Virgil. “I would like an answer.”
“Okay. So, Mr. Hart is Patton.” Virgil scrunched his nose up in confusion.
“Who’s that? Oh wait. Hang on. It's that asshole from college, isn’t it?” Roman nodded, sighing. “Didn’t he have a different last name though? Lügner?”
“Yes, but he changed his last name with his spouse.” Virgil furrowed his brow, as Roman watched him connect the dots.
“He married Logan,” Virgil said with the assurance of the morgue pronouncing a person dead. Roman didn’t need to ask why he knew. “That fucking bastard. I am going to find where he lives and kill him.”
“Darling, while of course I always support you, murder is frowned in polite soceity.” Virgil let out a frustrated groan of annoyance.
“I hate that family so fucking much. I hate them,” Virgil whispered, angry tears leaking out of his eyes. “They are fucking monsters.” Roman started to gently rub Virgil’s back, soothing him.
“I know darling. I’m so very sorry.” Virgil just kept crying into his hands, eventually turning around and embracing Roman, who kept soothing him, until Virgil began to calm down. He let out a humorless laugh.
“Sorry for the emotional outburst Ro.” Roman smiled.
“Not a problem stormy. I love and care about you. That's why I married you.” Virgil looked him up and down, smirking
“I suppose there was a reason I married you.”
“Love?”
“Tax benefits.” Roman dramatically placed his hand to his chest, offended.
“You have fooled me! Bewitched me! Tricked me!” Virgil stifled a laugh. “Betrayal, oh lover of mine, betrayal!” Virgil frowned slightly but tried to keep himself grounded. This is ACTUALLY a joke. He isn’t here. He doesn’t have power over you anymore. You’re OKAY. No. You aren’t. You’re weak and worthless and you can’t even take a damn joke. Virgil thought he heard Roman asking him something, but the noise in his head was too loud and the world was too blurry. Virgil held his head and covered his eyes, trying to shut out the voice and thoughts in his head. You have to let one of us win at some point. I don’t want to. Too late. Vaguely, Virgil heard Roman ask a question, but he slipped away.
----------------------------------FLASHBACK BEGINS-------------------------------------------
“You goddamn bitch,” Janus fumed, Virgil shrinking back on the bed. The two had been dating since sophomore year of high school, and now the two shared a dorm in college. “Are you trying to make me angry? Going out without telling me, sleeping in, and refusing to have sex? Its like you don’t care about me anymore.”
“I’m sorry,” Virgil mumbled. Janus scoffed.
“Yeah right. I bet you’re cheating on me. You are a “bisexual” after all.” Janus got in Virgil’s face. “A fucking whore. I can’t believe you’d actually betray me like this.” Virgil didn’t know when he started crying but tears were pouring down his face.
“NO! I-I-would never do that to you! I love you Jan! So so much!” Janus sneered, looking at Virgil dead in the eyes.
“Then prove it.”
-------------------------------------FLASHBACK ENDS------------------------------------------
Roman knew when Virgil started rocking in place, he had to call Remus. He pressed his contact and prayed his brother would pick up. Much to Roman’s relief, he did.
“Hello Bottom!” Roman sighed.
“For the record I’m a switch. But that's beside the point. Virgil’s having a flashback and I want some backup in case Remy wakes up.”
“I’m on my way. Be there in five.”
“But you live twenty minutes away. To get here in five minutes you’d have to break numerous laws.”
“FUCK THE LAWS!” Remus screeched through the phone. Roman rolled his eyes and hung up. He then turned to Virgil, kneeling beside him. Roman knew he couldn’t stop the flashback, he just needed to support him. Virgil generally hated being touched in times of extreme panic, so Roman didn’t touch, but instead offered soothing words, knowing the only thing he could do.
“It's okay stormy. It’s just a flashback. It’s not real. I’m here. Everything’s going to be okay. You’re safe. Can you try and breathe for me?” Somehow, through the covered ears, Virgil heard him. Virgil let out a cry of pain and Roman’s heart broke.
“STOP PLEASE STOP! I SAID I WAS SORRY I PROMISE! I WON’T DO ANYTHING PLEASE ST-” VIrgil was cut off by his own sobs and no doubt something in the flashback.
Still, Roman kept going, trying to help. “In for six, out for six. I’ll do it with you.” Roman breathed as he said, as loudly as he could. Virgil whimpered and sobbed, but tried. Roman heard the screech of Remus’s car. The door opened quickly and quietly, and Remus went to the kitchen. He went next to his brother and started helping Virgil. This was one of the worst flashbacks Virgil had had in years.
“Hey Virge, it’s Remus. We’re all gonna breath together. Okay?” At first Virgil didn’t respond, still shaking and sobbing. Then he nodded. “In for four, out for five.” Remus did that with Virgil, while Roman kept assuring him he was safe. Slowly and surely, Virgil took his hands off his ears and started to open his eyes. Roman and Remus were calm and encouraging, soothing him, telling him to tell them what the room looked like.
At first Virgil described his first college dorm, that image burned into his eyelids. But eventually he began to see his home. The home where he lived with Roman and raised Remy. Where he was safe and secure. And Virgil was brought back. He was still shook and though he wanted to be hugged and comforted, he was deathly terrified of it. Roman drapped a heavy blanket over Virgil’s shoulders, one specifically for situations where grounding and security was needed. Remus went upstairs to make sure Remy was asleep. Virgil choked back a small sob.
“Sorry I freaked out. Again. I wish I could control this damn thing. Its so fucking painful. He’s never coming near me again, hasn’t in years, and he still can hurt me. He still has that fucking power. And I hate that.” Virgil hugged himself with his blanket.
“Hey, it's not your fault. I should have known that might trigger you. I’ll be more careful in the future.” Virgil chucked a pillow at him, angry.
“But that’s the thing! You shouldn’t have to worry about what triggers me! You shouldn’t have to ask just to tap my shoulder! You shouldn’t be worried that our child might wake up and be scared because his father is screaming and crying on the ground and no one can stop it! You don’t deserve this!” Virgil, said, emotions bubbling and breaking.
“No Virgil, you don’t. You don’t deserve to feel this type of pain. You deserve happiness and love. And that’s why I am here. Because I know you deserve everything in this world. And I am willing to do whatever it takes to prove to you that you’re worth the world to me. I will never stop loving you. And I will never stop trying to support and be there for you. I made a vow to love you until death, but I know I’ll love you long after.” Virgil went silent. “I will always be here, by your side.”
“Big promises princey,” Virgil exhaled quietly. Roman smiles gently at him.
“And I mean every word of them.” Virgil walks up to Roman, embracing him tightly. Roman hugs back, holding him like he’s the world. “You are the best thing that ever happened to me.”
“Right back at you princey,” Virgil whispers into Romans chest. Remus clears his throat and the two look up.
“I’ll go to the guest room soon so you two can be all romantic on your lonesome. But just thought I’d make you aware, your kid was out cold. He’s impossible to get to sleep but once he is, he is never waking up until morning.” Virgil smiles shakily at him.
“Thanks Remus.” Remus smiled, glancing at the two.
“Hey, what are awesome brother in-laws for?” Roman shoved him lightly.
“Going away?”
“Alright, alright jeez. Man, you two lovebirds act like you’re still in your honeymoon phase.” As Remus goes up the stairs, the two embrace, falling asleep on the couch, in the safety of the other’s arms.
(Just a note, I have never personally met someone who experiences flashbacks, so I wrote this one the best I could with the limited knowledge I have. Also, when I say -----FLASHBACK ENDS--- it just means that we don’t see any more of the flashback. It does not end until Virgil is fully situated and in the present.)

Another rant about my hero academia
Because i can
So i mentioned in the tag of my last rant about deku how i believe and many others believe that UA is training child soldiers. Now, i understand that this may be a little controversial and i know that some people will say: 'its just an anime, its not meant to be taken seriously' blah blah but art is the reflection of life.
The kids at UA are right out of middle school when they get into the hero program, where before they are even inducted in they have to go through grueling, dangerous tests to see if they apply in their field. It sets up multiple bases. A. The classes are separated by power- you have classes like 1-A, and 1-B and then classes like the General studies course. The point of the test the students face when they first come to UA and the sports festival is to see how strong their quirk is, mostly (though there are other elements to the sports festival). Its been repeated multiple times how unfair the system is when people with powerful quirks cant face up to other quirks that are more styled for fighting. It doesn't matter how much control you have over your quirk if you can't beat someone in a fight. Think about shinso and his brainwashing quirk and how he was placed in general studies because his quirk is not suitable for the type of fighting the heros want. Battles. They are asking ans testing these children to be strong enough to fight in battles, eventually leading ti a war against villians. Even the teachers acknowledge how quirks that aren't flashy and overwhelming in strength, even if they hold a lot of power, is taken lightly. They also train these kids day in and day out, very little do you see them actually learn something. Even if it's the hero course, they should still have classes related to everyday life but it seems like most of their days revolve around training and building their quirks to be more powerful.
The idea of UA also creates the stigma around quirks and people who don't have quirks. Although it's rare now to not have a quirk, a prejudice has been built around people who dont have one. This is often shown their the early stages of bakugos and dekus relationship and Overhauls ideals of considering people without quirks are pure because of the damage quirks and heros have caused to the society (note: the original yakuza had the right idea, lowkey).
Class A-1 and occasionally class 1-B are often put in life threatening danger at the age of like fifteen, becoming the target of villians because of how powerful their quirks are and how broadcasted it is, very much like a military (or at least here, where if is very well known how big and advanced our military is compared to others). They are actively putting these kids into dangerous situations and expecting them to react correctly because they are training them to be soldiers. Realistically, would you tell and expect teenagers to fight against the villians instead of evacuation as soon as youre notified? Ill give them the benefit of the doubt that sometimes it was very tricky to get out of some situations, especially with the LOV but then, when calling for help why didn't more heros show up when it came to the risk of a whole class, sometimes two of hero course students at a training camp? Not all of the heros could have possibly been so busy to not help, and if I remember correctly it wasn't impossible to call for help.
Instead of taking a step back from the hero course after the kidnapping of bakugo and the training camp, they moved the kids into the dorms for protection. Almost like a base of sorts. And although this may be a stretch, it doesn't seem like the appropriate thing to do right after the incident. Even dekus mom was a little hesitant and for the right cause, how are you going to protect the kids at UA if you cant even protect them now? Now they are one sigular location.
This clip of a video by kenmasstocks gives a bit of insight of how fucked up it really is by pointing out all the ways the hero stereotype has slowly destroyed the society starting with all might:
Villians ideal
The villians are actually quite the opposite of villians in the hero society that has been developed. Although i do not condone the horrible ways they run things and the execution of said ideals, Stain (especially), overhaul and overhauls father were onto something when it came to the My Hero Universe. They are seen as villians because they kill people and commit crimes, but when you hear the villians out like Stain when he was explaining his cause, it kind of make sense. The world that has been built around them and stigma around heros and how to be one and what you need to be one has failed the villians. They were outcasted by society and labeled as villians unfit to be heros and their standards.
They are the rebelling side, the opposers to the standards that have been set of citizens. The kids are taught about villians except for how bad they are. Very few times do you actually hear out a villian and see a character see their intentions and understand. They are criminals, not villains. But they weren't fit to be a soldier to the hero side. They express often how bad the heros have left the soceity, the quirk discrimination, the abuse of power, etc. Heros like endeavor have gotten away with a lot because they are considered heros. There are some heros who have done horrible things that are often overlooked.
What i hope the revolution is like and how the rest of the story will go
After stains storyline, we can start to see a change and after 'villians' like dabi, twice, and toga were introduced and we can see the chaun reaction that stain caused. All of these 'villians' were let down by the hero society and have expressed their reasoning for doing what they do, even if it's twisted and executed wrongly. We can see deku truly hear out stain and his story, stain declaring him a true hero because he has no anterior motive like the other heros he's been faced with. He truly cares about everybody, even the 'villians' at some points. I hope that we cam see deku start to understand more of their POV, reaching his own conclusion on the hero community and the impact they have left on their city and the world as a whole. I want to see him start trying to change it for the better, demolishing the pretenses and executing the villian ideal in a more appropriate way instead of being blindly lead by manipulative, powerful, and excused heros. Although he may not be able to get rid of crime (a separation from villiany, a criminal and villian is not the same imo) he can help prevent future 'villians'.
#this is a mess#but i hope i was able to get my point across accurately#feel free to reply to this#just my opinion#mickie mentions#my hero academia

Swear words and phrases
I can confidently say that each and every one of you reading this blog may have come across a situation where an occasional expletive slips by your social censor. Missing out an A by one mark, loosing a bet you were sure you would win or the light going out in between intense gaming sessions are various situations where people accidentally swear. In this blog I will share what are swear words, why do we swear and its effect on our mind.
As per google a swear word is an offensive word, used especially as an expression of anger. These words aren’t acceptable in society yet about 0.7% of the words we usually use are swear words. So why do people swear ?
In your early childhood, crying was an acceptable way to show emotion and relieve stress and anxiety. As children, (especially boys) grow up, Western society discourages them from crying, particularly in public. People still need an outlet for strong emotions, and that's where swearing often comes in.
A lot of people think of swearing as an instinctive response to something painful and unexpected (like hitting your head on an open cabinet door) or something frustrating and upsetting (like being stuck in traffic on the way to a job interview). This is one of the most common uses for swearing, and many researchers believe that it helps relieve stress and blow off steam, like crying does for small children.
Beyond angry or upset words said in the heat of the moment, swearing does a lot of work in social interactions. Researchers have theorised that men swear to create a masculine identity. We are all well aware doing something we aren’t supposed to do gives us a feeling of exhilaration and adrenaline. Similarly swearing provides men with a sense of masculinity as it is unacceptable in soceity.
Swear words can also be used in a more positive manner, in the form of jokes and humor, sex talk, storytelling, self-deprecation or even social commentary. Imagine when you want to emphasize how great you feel something is, a swear words emphasizes the positive feelings you have for that object, situation, person or event (“This concert is f#cking awesome!”). Sure, we could just say “This concert is awesome,” but the addition of the swear word emphasizes the emotional reaction we have toward it — and easily conveys that emotional reaction to others. Moreover swearing in a good natured way can also encourage intimacy as your breaking certain social boundaries when saying such expletives in a conversation.
Despite all the benefits of swearing one needs to be careful when to use such powerful words. In certain social events like business meetings, job interviews or even a family a dinner; the use of swear words can indicate lack of respect and self control. Hence, it is advisable to use such language at the correct place and time.

Rimworld ideology slave to colonist
#Rimworld ideology slave to colonist full
Once you are done with them there you can then harvest some their organs and sell them off for some silver. You know that time after a raid where you are checking everyone out to see if there are any good recruitable pawns among those left alive and downed only to find that none if them qre worth converting? Well now, instead of just leaving them to die or harvesting all their organs, for science, you can turn them into slaves and use them to help clean up after the raid or build that new huge construction project, etc. Making a slave of that cannibal raider is, understandably, pretty easy compared to converting them into a functioning memeber of soceity. Slaves are recruited significantly faster than prisoners are converted to controllable pawns.
#Rimworld ideology slave to colonist full
While slaves are more likely to try and rebel than prisoners, they are also effected more by surpreession mechanics as well meaning they can actually become much easier to kept under control with liberal use of the whip (or by making each one if them sleep in a room full of caged corpses as a warning :D). They aren't just workers, but also a form of currency. Slaves can be sold off once you are done with them, kept for mood buffs for your other colonists, or used in rituals to get solid benefits. Sure my slave miner might be slower than my regular miner, but I can work him till he collapses from lack of sleep without consequence. Slaves have very low expectations (huge constsnt mood buff) and thus actually are pretty resistant to mental breaks and can be treated pretty harashly. Slave pawns are worse workers than prisoners or other pawns due to debuffs to work speed and they need to be kept surpressed to avoid rebellions or escapes but come with a few solid advantages:

4Qs to determine the cues for the markets...
With the World grappling for a life after Covid-19 impact, the financial markets across the World are staring a definite phase of uncertainty in the coming months. Though the intensity of the pandemic is slowing down but that does not ensure a bright life for the financial markets. In fact, the worse phase of the markets could take place once the dust settles down. Markets are behaving extremely volatile in the current scenario, given the fact that any bit of news spooks the markets both the ways. Currently the historic crash of Crude prices are spooking the markets. But, more such volatility can be expected in the coming weeks.
Investors, rather than getting carried away by the news flows, should now focus on the factors which could determine the markets in the coming months -
4Qs could actually determine the near future nature of the financial markets around the World, particularly in India too.
Quarantine led lockdown - The World economy is in a Quarantine lock down and India is no different. The lock down has consumed the entire month of April and that's not a great way to start the FY. Even post lock down, the businesses will find it challenging to overcome the Quarantine hangover while getting back to 'business as usual' mode which is expected to last for several months. Such a restricted business environment is detrimental and could slow down the productivity levels of the businesses. Even on the consumption front, the quarantine process can slow down the footfalls in the consumer business establishments like malls, supermarkets and movie theaters. Perhaps, the brick and mortar businesses will have a lingering effect of the pandemic aftermath for a longer duration. And that could have a huge impact on the top and bottom lines of many companies. As long as the Quarantine mode continues, there can never be business as usual and that will have bearing on the financials of the companies. The industrial activity is set to begin on a highly restricted mode and that may spill over to several months. Investors should keep an eye on that.
Quarterly results - We are in the process of witnessing the Q4 results of the companies, which can be termed decent but what is more important will the Q1 of FY21 which will be very crucial to watch out for. Q1 will be awash with low productivity and low business activity thereby causing huge strain in the corporate balance sheets. With the full of April getting washed out, the businesses will be literally limping back to some kind of normalcy starting May. But the slowdown will certainly spill over into June as well. So most business projections for the Q1 will go for a toss and that will have a strong bearing in the Q1 results. Investors should watch out for the Q1 business progress to gauge the future movements in the stock markets and build the portfolios accordingly.
Quality matters - Quality matters always, but more so now. The severe economic strain caused by the Covid-19 will have a profound impact on the balance sheets of the companies, without doubt. Companies which are already laded with high and unsustainable debts will go through a serious crisis in the midst of the economic slowdown. Of course, interest rate cut is only a solace for such companies, but the businesses will have to pick up to service the debts. Moreover, further access to credit for those high debt companies will also be a challenge despite RBI cutting the repo rates quite dramatically. Companies with minimal or no debt with healthy cash flows will tide over the storm in the current economic conditions. Investors should align their portfolios in line with the healthy financials of the companies. In short, quality matters.
Quantitative easing - So far, RBI has done a commendable job on proactively announcing measures to boost the money supply and to support the various sections of the economy. And government has announced series of measures to boost the economic activity in the country. Aided with the rate cut, quantitative easing measures will be most crucial for the economy to limp back to normalcy in a reasonable time frame. And of course, it all depends how those measures get absorbed into the system very effectively. Most importantly, the repo rate cut should be transmitted across the economy to benefit all sections of the soceity, namely the common man. Many sectors in the economy would also want to have some kind of assistance by way of easy credit and bail out measures to ride out the storm created by the pandemic. Nevertheless, one can expect more such measures once the lock down ends and the actual business scenario comes out clearly in the public domain.
Having said that, these four Q's will be crucial for the direction of markets in the coming months and the investors should bear in mind that only quality wins the race in such difficult economic conditions. Of course, Indian markets will have the global impact as well, as most nations are reeling under severe economic strain arising out of the pandemic after effects.
Random choosing of stocks only based on price action may be unviable and unprofitable in the current market conditions. Rather investors should choose based on valuations coupled with the price action. But investors, the particularly the long term investors should also bear in mind that India as a country is in for a glorious economic growth in the longer term, say 5-10 years from now on. With China hitting a dead end through its mis-steps, the actual gainer could be India which is in a sweet spot to attract FDI in a big way. More over, various International agencies have forecast Indian growth to be on the top in Fy20-21 when compared with the most economies in the World. There are indeed clear silver lining visible in the current dark clouds. Investors should play the game based on clear long term potential of the country's economy!
Happy Investing!

v i b r a t i n g in a constant overflow of A B U N D A N C E && A L I G N M E N T like the ocean. Today it hit home for me that I am physically designing the lifestyle I WANT to have for myself. It hit even harder knowing that I CAN have everything I allow myself to have. Co-creating with the beautiful Universe to design my ultimate dream life. We literally spend a majority of our lives 1) in school (16 years for me), 2) working, 3) commuting to and from work. Calculate the years you've spent doing these 3 things. Now calculate the years you've spent LIVING IN FULFILMENT (5 years for me) - whether that be traveling, spending more time at home with your family, investing in your health, investing in your passion, reading, yoga, doing whatever fulfils your soul. IF the number of years spent focusing on actually "living" is less than the number of years and time spent doing those 3 things listed above👆you are NOT living in fulfilment everyday. I was not living in fulfilment & I realized a lot of shxt needed to change. Soceity conditions us to spend a majority of our lives 1) In school, 2) Working until the age of retirement [having no savings] 3) Living in debt [most people die with debt] 4) Not putting ourselves/ health first 5) Not living a financially FREE & stable life [without] slaving away at the system - "modern day slavery". Society wants for us to be confined to the system, not allowing ourselves the "time" to travel and explore the world because we "need" to rely on our full time work for benefits, we need to work 40hr weeks and multiple jobs to make a living to support ourselves and families... and it's CRAZY. Last year when I started my online busoness I realized that this way of "living" is not MY way of living. And it doesn't have to be yours either!!! It's not freedom at all. It's simply not freedom at all. Last year I changed my circumstances and priorities by investing in MYSELF. I work alongside a sacred divine community who has taught me everything I need to know in running my online Kangen water business. I work alongside a company that is 111% in alignment with my visions and goals in life. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8kZhOVAv4l/?igshid=xkc22bwwwsay

Something/one won't stop repeating this
The older I get the less i am able to adapt into a soceity based on putting money above all is, close minded gender limitations and in general idea of only living 20% of my life 25" if I only wanna settle for 5 hours of sleep.
I must not only start taking the steps now to find my revenue but to break away from a soceity that want a to exploit me for someone else benefit and tell me I should be happy about it

White people must shut up. Just for a second.
I am listening to Eddie’s Illusionary Dreams Live Recording as I scribe this one. He always manages to do those things that need to be done to me in order for the thingd that get the mind to relax and so on and so forth and stuff like that.
I do not know why this bothers me so much, because I mean, abelungu are abelungu and the things they do should never really shock us. Last week, I was attending and presenting an academic paper at the South African Law Deans Association(SALDA) conference themed “Decolonization and Africanization of Legal Education.” I am still shook at the level of ignorance among senior academics unto the question of both decolonizing and transformation in South Africa. I mean, these are BIG persons in soceity and the academic world, people endowed with the duty to produce knowledge, find solutions to long standing societal problems and the like. But, these men and women are totally clueless.
But the point of bother is not the ignorance but rather the confidence of white males in wanting to lead the discourse on decolonizing. I mean, Africa is in this colonial mess(coloniality) as it were, because of white men. I honestly worry that we(black men and women) have no qualms or questions about inviting the very same white men to the table when we want to set out or chart a black agenda. Unless of course, I am mistaken, the effort to decolonize(if possible) should be a black agenga, for black people and by black people. This is given credence to, by the reality that Colonialism is not an accident of history. See, the 1652 annexation of the Cape by the 3 ships was a white agenda, for white people , by white people. The same can be said about the infamous 1913 Land Act (which is directly responsible for the black landlessness) and the 1948 upsruge of Afrikaaner nationalism. These three events were whites-only events, for the benefit of white people and to the detriment of the black body. In order to reverse these atrocities, it is the injured parties(black people) that ought to come together and set the agenda. Why then invite benefactors of apartheid/colonialism to give an opinion on how to undo their privilege?
Patriarchy adversely affects society in general, both males and females, but the injured party in this instance is the female body. The feminist discourse must be led by the injured party, we(men) must shut up and allow women to chart the program of liberation. The same can be said when we speak on the systematic and institutionalized oppression of queer bodies. The LGBTI movement and its agenda, must be led by the queer body and all of us must shut up and follow. Do not get me wrong. I am in no way denying intersectionality. What I am addressing here is the reality, historicity and questions of agency! As a black male, I am undoubtedly patronized by a white male who feels the agency and moral authority to school me on decolonizing. His words are insincere and lack an appreciation of the historical impact of the colour of his skin and all that is related to it.
These middle-class black and their white friends had better wake up very soon, because they are about to make a mess of a genuine struggle. My white colleagues can talk to me about rugby, braais and many other things, I will gladly listen. I am happy to talk about these other topics with them. Without them, we would not have this rambo nation of Leon Schuster and Desmond Tutu. But may they please shut up and allow us to be our own liberators, Asseblief tog!

VEGANISM IS WHITE IMPERIALISM/CLASSIST/ABLEIST because of food prices, poor people can’t afford it, not everyone can be vegan and you don’t even care about the exploited immigrants working in fields!
How many time does someone have to be announced!
Those who think this are ignoring the fact that indigenous people in the Amazon lose their fucking homes because of meat consumption where it is cheaper to raise animals, the forest is being cut down for animal agirculture. Ignoring all the people starving in West African countries because they can barely catch fish anymore thanks to the huge ass factory ships from China/Europe etc that empty the oceans. Ignoring all the indigenous people dependent on clean water, when raising livestock is the number one polluter of water. And of course ignoring the exploited immigrants and working poor with no alternatives working in slaughterhouses, one of the most dangerous jobs in the western world. Many losing body parts and, because they’re often illegal immigrants, won't get any form of health support once ending up disabled.
I eat the same shit as most people do, accept without the meat, eggs, cheese, milk, or any animal products, how can a plant based diet be white imperialism, when it was colonialism (industrial soceity) that brought animal agriculture to the indigenous peoples, anyone who consume animal products supports neo colonialism, exploitation, cruelty, misery that the animal agriculture industry is responsible for. People who eat meat support the ultra rich who benefit financial, which is in the billions and billions of dollars. Almost every person in the world, who can afford it consumes animal products, which means that everyone who consume animal products support imperialism.
